      Water Temp: 52

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well, I suck. Fish are being caught in the main body and north fork but not by me. Tim Merritt, you are my idol. This guy picked up 9 fish today with a nice #3 spot to go along with the standard Folsom bass. I had a few bites, like trout on the drop shot rig and a few jig bites that couldnt get hooked.

      Tips: Ask Merritt.

      Water Temp: 42- 50

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The last 2 days were really hit and miss. The lake is still very spotty. Most of the bass are in a suspended state at 50 ft. Main body producing hits at 50ft. with jigs and the Middle Fork and North Fork producing with jigs and tubes. We came up on one spot on a long steep wall and caught 13 bass in just over an hour with 4 over. This next week of warm weather should help the bite. The Spots should start stageing in front of coves now and start moving into their spawning mode. We have already found some with mud on their belly's.
      City: Paradise

Tips: Keep fishing differnt spots until you find feeding bass. The afternoon has been fishing better. It could be timeing or the water is warmer or both.

But Alas, All My Prayers To The Fish Gods Went Unanswered.

Worst Fish Catching Day I Ever Had.

It Got So Bad I Even Trolled For, Ugh,Trout.

Even Though They Plant Heavily, No Trout Either.

Report: Pretty slow.Got there at 7:00 and picked up one fish on reaction first 10 minute's.Fished another 3 hour's with reaction bait's and not one bite.Well that was enough so I fished three differant spot's I know that are good for bait fishing.Same result's....nothing not a bite.Fished another hour back around Dino Point for Largemouth and cought three about 2-1/2lbs on a black Mann's Jelly Worm Texas rigged.
      City: Salinas

Tips: Lake was just to calm which does not help the fishing here. When it's flat calm fish Striper's first but if it's not happening switch to Largemouth.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Just a note to let all of you know that the water level continues to rise and is now at the 396 ft level. That still leaves the lake down 50m feet. They want to be at the 400 ft level by the end of Feb and it looks like that's where they will be. Warm weather can only make the fishing better. Good luck and take a kid fishin.

Report: Fished the 1st Sonoma County Belly Boat Bass Club tournament of the year out of Yorty Creek. Ended up with 7 bites and was lucky enough to put them all in the float tube. 3 smaller fish on a dropshot in about 15 feet of water. The other 4 fish came on 3/4 ounce jigs in around 30 feet. Ended up with the best 5 going 20.02lbs. All the fish were on points except one small dropshot fish near the ramp on riprap. Very tough day in windy, rainy, cold stained water.
      City: Penngrove

Tips: Jigs deep (30ft) for bigger fish. Dropshot for keepers (10-20ft). Main points into spawning areas. This bite will only last a few more weeks before the fish start to move shallow and farther back into spawning areas.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Launched at First light, slight wind water temp was a bit colder than I thought 45 at ramp as I got out to the lake it was 48 started at the dam fishing the drop offs nothing wind started to pick up we pulled up and started fishing points got my first fish on a white spider grub 3/8 oz football head jig slight tap 1.5 lbs second fish on the next point and this one was actually this years first thunk felt the strike all the way same jig but this time black and blue grub she caught it on the fall for 2 lbs last fish came on a point about 25 ft water 3.5 lbs nice spot she also smacked the bait hard at this time the water temp was up to 50 still in main body points but the wind was really blowing so we called it a day 3.5 hrs before the storm not bad
Water level is holding about 3-5 feet from the spillway water still muddy but getting better with this new storm it should get muddy again the light is in sight fishing can only get better
      City: Roseville

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got out on Saturday for a few hours early in the morning before the high winds and heavy rain came. Saw one fish taken by another angler on a crankbait near Shag Rock. I got bit twice using a hand poured beaver on a shakey head. Landed one fish a chunky 3lber. The winds picked up and skies opened so I headed back to the marina and was back on the road home by 10:30AM.
      City: Petaluma, CA

Tips: The one item I'll note here with this report is the two bites I had were very, very aggressive. Not the winter time pressure bites at all. Spring time is just about here on the pond. Ohh yes :)

      Water Temp: 50

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished a club tournament- went out blind with no practice. Caught 4 fish- 2 on a 6" swimbait and 2 on dartheads. All fish came past the second bridge on secondary points/coves. In fact, we caught all of our fish within 1/4 mile of each other. Best weight in the tourney was 14lbs. Out of 20 boats, only five limits. We took 6th with 6 lbs.
      City: Elk Grove

Tips: Fish are in 25 plus feet...no bites shallow. All but one fish were on the bottom- not suspended. The swimbait bite is on...to bad I broke mine off. Hint- 6" fish trap type on a 1/2 oz head. Let sink all the way to the bottom in 30 feet then retrieve parallel to shore.
