      Water Temp: 47

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: for those who haven't been in 2008. all boats are being inspected, any water whatsoever in your livewells and you will be refused entry into the lake (remember ANY water at all), also you will have to provide proof of residence with a drivers license, if you live in Nevada, San Benito counties, or south of the Tehachapi mountains you will not be allowed to launch, doesn't matter that your boat may be registered somewhere else. They do a full inspection of boat, livewells an bildge area, record all license info and tags. Saw multiple people turned away at the ramp. I am only posting this so that your aware of it, maybe save you some frustration and money in wasted gas.
fishing was not great, caught a few, nothing significant, lake is fairly clear 10-12 ft of visibility and 46-48 degrees, lots of bankies in their usual places, trout fishing looked fair, lake appears to be in great shape and 15-20 ft from the high water mark.
      City: lockeford

Tips: fish slow, main points 15-25 ft of water.

Report: launched out of Capell cove and it was cold and wet. Fished spoons, drop shot, senko on a darter head, spider jig, crank baits and jerk baits. Caught one fish on each except the hard baits. I thought I saw some crappie on the meter and tossed out a red and white mini jig. 5 mins later land on of the larger fish of the day, a spot. Caught five total. very tough bite and you had to work for them. all were caught in the narrows aroung points or secondary points.
      City: san bruno

Tips: fish slow and look for schools of fish and bait then fish very methodically for one to two bites.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: whoops my bad... Not like I would catch anything anyway! With the water clarity I don't think it would matter if it was hot pink! lol I figured water displacement would be more efficient, but either way the spinnerbait would successfully fill the criteria for both overcast and muddy conditions. Shoot me an e-mail,if I am wrong, I am still kind of new to fishing!
      City: Santa Rosa

Tips: well I guess the posts before this one would be sufficient! Warmer weather is bound to come along sometime!

      Water Temp: cold

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: oscar.....*sigh* with an overcast you do want to use a gold blade with your spinnerbait. if the sun is out its probably best to use a simple white or silver blade....proven.
      City: Santa Rosa

Tips: spinnerbait to cover water. or just wait for spring time =)

Report: Launched @ 8:00a.m. The water was like glass aound the dam. Headed south and all hell broke loose. Wind started howling and had to keep the trolling motor on 40 to keep the boat still. Managed one about 2 lbs on a dropshot in about 35 feet. Headed north to try to get out of the wind. Didn't help. The day got worse. We managed to boat one more about 3.5 lbs in shallow water, about 10 feet. Had to leave around 11 the wind and rain was just nuts.

Report: Basin Bassmasters from Loomis and two other clubs launched out of Markley Cove at first light with light winds and clouds. The day was a nice day on the water but the fishing was taught. My partner (Ken Harrison) and I stayed with a patten hitting all the points in the narrows using jigs, 3/8 and 1/2 oz. Most of the bass were in 15-30 ft, we went deeper and graphed larger fish but no bites. Our biggest large-mouth came out of Steal Park area in 10-15 ft. @ 11am around rocks. We found most of our bass on rocky points and the flats between them. Our winning weight was 8.34 lbs, another clubs was 7.02 and the third was 7.94. Not a big day. The Jig color was Black/Blue, Brown/Purple and Green Pumpkin with a Black/Blue Flake. Dark colors in this stained water and working it slow.
Try using my Jigs, see my website @ www.captjacksfishingjigs.com or call me @ (916) 837-9474
      City: Rocklin

Tips: Try using drop shots, darter head, crank-in and jigs, working them very slow. almost dead stick it.

Report: Fished the Won bass Vinyard this weekend.I have been fishing this lake for close to 10 years now and this was the toughest day I have ever had. not a single fish all day. I tried everything but mostly dragged a jig all day all over the south end from Rattlsnake to Jago.It took less than 7 pounds to win ON CLEARLAKE ?!
I did have a blue Herin try to eat my wake bait in the morning! Does that count?

Tips: Stay home and get your tackle together for Spring

Water Temp: cold (just a wi

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Today was a nice day to go, but I didnt (sorry). Lake is obviously muddy and still getting higher. I guess this rain makes up for last years lack of it. Its a little late to say this but: happy new year to everyone! Once this weather clears up you will be seeing me and my dad out there trying not to get skunked! Anyway good luck everybody on their fishing wherever you go!
      City: Santa Rosa

Tips: If you do decide to head out in the rain, a jig is always a good choice. Maybe slow-rolling a big spinnerbait will produce. Something with scent/vibration/sound would be ideal here. Not so much something flashy as there is barely any visibilty and there isn't much light to reflect off of anyway. Good luck!!!
