Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Thanks for the info Pat.

Hope things change soon, I like this lake because of its so hard to get into it. Once there though, it is beautiful, especially when it is full.

The fishing is pretty good too.

Report: Thank you for posting Ron. I have been checking daily for an updated report for an upcomming trip. I was happy to hear the trout or samoln are eating, my friend is interested in catching them. Do you think spoons will work best for them? Thanks again.

      Water Temp: 44-45

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished the past day and a half. We caught a total of 15 fish on Tuesday, 8 on drifting live minnows and 7 on a hula grub fished very slow along the bottom. Yesterday we caught 6 fish. Three on minnows, and 3 on the hula grubs. Fish are scattered, and very white looking, not the usual color. Very slow bite!!!

Tips: They want something thatmoves very slow. Not a reaction bite at all. We did try spinnerbaits, senko's and other grubs. No luck.

      Water Temp: 41-47

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: went out for a few hrs today. lake has risen about 8-10 ft in the last month. water temp at the ramp was 47. made a run up river just to check temps. a frigid 41 degrees. located baitfish in a few different locations,at 37ft. did not see any fish activity, but stayed with them for about 45 minutes, wih zero bites. hit the usual main lake points with assorted plastics with no success. searched around to find a little warmer water, and found a nice drop off from 57 to 24 ft in the north end. graphed fish at 17-22ft. managed 2 smallmouth on 4 inch tubes (watermelonseed.)overall a pretty tough bite. but nice to see some water coming in. only saw 1 other boat on the water, but 3 trailers in the lot.planning on hitting it again sometime next week. will post any new info.
      City: modesto

Tips: don't waste a lot of time chasing the baitfish on your graph unless you see active fish. be very careful running the lake as there is quite a bit of debris being washed in upriver, and several islands are just being covered.

      Water Temp: 35-44

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I havn't done any reports in the last few weeks because the fishing hasn't been vary good. The cold weather has droped the water temp down to 35f were the water is coming in to 44f in the shallows and next to rocks in the afternoon. With the nice weather forcast this week, the fishing should get better. All of the ramps are open now with the water level at 711 ft. Tusedays trip produced 5 bass with 4 over and a bunch of salmon. We fished the West Branch and the North Fork. I talked to 4 other boats Tuseday and they had 1 bass between them. We used senkos in pumpkin color and cinnamon jigs with 3/8 and 1/2 once football jig hooks.
      City: Paradise

Tips: With the water temps so cold, we fished very slow.

      Water Temp: 46

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: It was a very tough day. I blanked and my partner caught one on the only bite of the day.Launch air temp was 34 and water temp was 46 with muddy water everywhere. Even though the sun did warm things up a little bit it wasn't enough to get the bass to bite. We need at least a week or more of sunny days to put the bass in a better feeding mode.
      City: Santa Rosa

Tips: On February 16th the Redwood Empire Bass Club will be hosting there second tournament of the year. Hopefully with 10 days of warmer weather the bite should be on for the tournament. We welcome new members both boaters and non boaters to fish with us. Please join us at our next meeting February 13th at 7 p.m. at the Rohnert Park Community Center on the corner of Rohnert Park Expressway and Snyder Lane. Our guest speaker will be Dale Meddock from D & M Custom Baits. Dale will be demonstrating the Piranha deep water swim jig and many other exciting products. There will also be a raffle with a great variety of bass tackle to win. For more info log onto rebc.net or call me at 707-758-5762.

      Water Temp: na

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well its feb and that mean it time to hit the flats in 18 to 25 feet of water and humps in 15 to 30 feet of water. Im going with 1/4 & 3/8 oz bullet head jig in lite pumpkin green with a 208 watermelon red/black flake single tail yamamoto 5" grub as my trailer. You can swim this bait in shallow or deep water long cast slow retrive is best afternoon bite works best for me im stayin with flats as bass will move up through out the day. I would even throw junebug with a june bug yamamoto trailer in a 5" single tail grub also. With the warmer weather coming this week thing may turn around slowly but it should start picking up here shortly.
      City: kerman ca

Tips: Long cast slow retreive is best i like bullet head jig this time of year for the feel contact is everything right now.

      Water Temp: Cold!!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The lake is almost full and the water is freezing! No boat means I can't fish as deep as I wanted to so that means no fish!

I tried jigs drop shit and jerk baits to no avail. I got two bites in 15ft of water off a main point but I took to long to set I guess.
      City: Citrus Heights

Tips: the water needs to warm up for bankers to do any good. Fish deep points near creeks channels.

      Water Temp: 43

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: My partner and I also fished 100% on Sat. Snowing on the way to the lake. Last time we fished here was like two years ago, could not take off the time to prefish. Talk about a tough bite. We had three bites by 10am missed all of them. Finally 11am got one in the boat. Saw the boat next to us boat two. We moved on. My partner missed 4 bites in a row and I missed a few more bites. Weigh in time the guy before us weighed in 24+ pounds and heard a roomer that someone got 28+ pounds. Great job guys.
      City: San Mateo

Tips: We got bit but could not hook them work the dropshot and shakyheads slow maybe let them take the bait longer before setting the hook, I'm thinking we were setting the hook too fast. fish were in the 17-19 foot depth. Good luck, hope the rain will take a break and the water warms up a little.

      Water Temp: 43

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished 100% Saturday. Total blank. Between myself and partner, not one single bite. I was told to just stay home; should have taken the advice. Graphed fish, but could not get any takers on anything. Tried dropshot, darthead, shaky head, and a variety of cranks hoping maybe for some kind of reaction bite. Don't know what else to say. My hat's off to anyone who caught fish. Hardest day I've ever had there. Talked to two guys who had prefished for 2 days prior and they too had not one bite in 2 days. I must go and lick my wounds now.

Report: Ryan Cook and I were throwing berserk jigs all day. Most fish came less than 10ft on rocks, rocks and wood. We had around 14+lbs for our best 5 with a 4+lb kicker. Had a couple of blow ups on a Lunker Punker. I got off of the water by 2pm. www.fishwrangler.net

Tips: 3/8oz.-1/2oz. brown/purple, brown, or brown/green berserk jigs with matching trailers. Slowly drag them back to the boat. They are shallow right now at least most of them are in less than 15ft. need help call (209) 604-8222.
