Water Temp: 59-63
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Spent the weekend with the in-laws and got in on some great fishing. Started the weekend out right with the first fish going 6-14 on a x-rap (ghost minnow). Continued to catch 20 to 25 fish on the weekend, fished Saturday AM & PM and Sunday PM for a total of maybe 8 hours. Caught fish on everything from Robo worms, Senkos, Chatter baits, Rip Baits, jigs, and swimbaits. Had a blast catching a ton of 3 lbers. Had a really nice one get off right at the side of my yak that was well over 7 lbs. All I saw was a huge mouth as it surfaced beside me and spit my swimbait back at me.
City: Rocklin, CATips: Work senkos around the docks to catch a ton of fish. If you

Report: Went out and fished a club tournament saturday. i wasn;t expecting the bite to be red hot but i hoped we would get some fish but i was wrong. At least we didn't. There were 8 teams everyone but us got a limit. We started out at long point my partner got one on a speed trap then we fished two rock i lost two there on a blade. Then we went to cropy and watched three guys in a 12 foot aluminum pull out about a 15 pound limit we couldn't get touched there so then we went to the dam could'nt get bit there either. I threw everything i could think of but didn't get touched until about ten minutes before weigh in i threw my drop shot up in about 1 foot of water on the dam and after two seconds there went my line i set up fought er for about 1 minute had her at the boat it was at least five and a half but the hook would'nt stay in her mouth so that was that we took last with 3 fish for 4.82 pounds.
City: UkiahTips: STAY HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Report: Took 4 kids fishing today and we had 14 fish. Kids biggest fish went a little over 4 lbs on brush hogs and senkos. On my second to last cast I stuck a 10.4 lbs donkey on a swim bait.
City: novatoTips: Clearest water in15 years. Can see beds and that is rare. Fish natural colors and slow down

Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: The dense algae or pollen bloom that had covered the lake yesterday had disappeared by this morning. Lots of boats on the lake again today, both trout trollers and bass anglers. Popoular places get filled up fast, so fishing options are reduced.
John got two nice bass today, a 2-10 and a 2-6, both on the T-rigged craw plastic. I landed three today, two 4-8's and a 2, all taken on a white buzzbait. We usually don't even throw a buzzbait unless there is a good ripple on the water. Today I tried one off a muddy bank when the area was glass smooth, and that's when one of the 4-8's took it. The other two came off rocky banks when the wind was blowing pretty good.
City: MontereyTips: Try buzzbaits near shore or soft plastics in the 6 - 8 foot range.

Water Temp: N/A
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: A little late reporting but the last post just wanted something.Well got there at daylight not much wind, yet.Well started out with top water fished about an hour nothing.Switched to jerkbait and picked up 3 all 24" about four pound's.Then the fog came in on top of the pass about 9:00 am and if anyone know's this lake it also bring's in the 40 mph wind's well it did.
Had to switch tactic's and started throwing Rat-L-Trap and picked up four more all the same 24" fish.Well i couldnt stand the wind anymore so i was off the water by 11:00am.Thought i would run over to LBC where i have been hammering the Bass but it was just to windy.
City: SalinasTips: This was my first trip over there this year i usually wait until the middle or end of April but i am going again this Saturday calling for clear sky's in Salinas so the wind will not be a factor.
Jerkbait's and Trap's and Fluke's on point's now later on when the lake start's dropping fish the large flat's with same lure's good luck.

Water Temp: 60-62
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Friday, 23 Mar...picked up 8 LMs to 3.5 lbs using blue and silver rapala x-rap rip bait. Covered a lot of water both north and south from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Water level is up about two feet and stained compared to last week. Aside: One of the two trumpeter swans that hung out in past years at south end beyond the bridge is missing. The remaining swan is now paired and hanging out with a goose. What's up with that?
City: Santa ClaraTips: Vary retrieve with rip baits...pausing for five seconds or longer can bring strikes.

Report: The willows are in water and the BIG girls are on fire! But don't expect to catch a whole lot of fish. P.S. crappie are a waste of time with so many bass in this lake.
City: localTips: fish sloooow nomatter what bait you throw. Wick Cheese and a Bobber will catch plenty of squaw fish if the bass won't bite.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: My buddy and I fished Friday morning and afternoon in the Rattlesnake arm around docks and Jago Bay points. Caugh 15+ fish to 5 lb 12 oz, best five went 22 lb 9 oz including 3 fives and 2 3+s. Swim baits and River2Sea deep jerk bait caught the better fish. Carolina rig lizards and drop shot Robo worms also produced well but smaller fish.
City: ClearlakeTips: Bounce swim baits on the bottom. Get suspending jerk bait down quick, fish it slow, short jerks with lots of long pauses and a few ticks now and then, and hold on. Don't give up on jerk or swim bait near the boat. Several fish hit jerk right next to the boat when paused and ticked.

Water Temp: 55-61
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I took two fellows today for a learning trip - one had never caught a bass before. The morning was quite chilly as we headed to the south fork. The sun was up when we got there and when I realized how clear the water was (15 foot visability) I thought a tough day was ahead. Wrong! The morning bite was absolutely dead with only three or four in the boat. About noon a breeze came up and Bingo - the bass came up too! We caught spot after spot and a bonus smallmouth! Remember the guy who had never caught a bass before? His FIRST bass ever - a 2 lb 9 oz spot! I had to coach him to get her out of a tree and he did! His next one was 2 lbs 2 oz - a natural fisherman! I will put up a photo tomorrow. Was he ever excitied!!!! He caught 6 more and only lost 2. He really has some natural ability - nice to see. We caught over 30 with 5 over the slot. I tried some rippin' but the water was just too clear and bright. The 4" morning dawn Robo worm was THE bait in the afternoon. Aaron' Magic R/B flake was good in the morning. Our 5 fish limit was in the 12 lb range.
City: Yuba CityTips: The male spots were invading the coves in the afternoon and were chompin'! A few females were there too. I would have loved fishing 'til dark. I did drop-shot the Basstrix flashtrix minnow with good results - 20 to 35 feet deep. Many of our bass were spitting up pond smelt - lots of them all over my carpet, ugh!!! Some of the water in coves had a little color - I think that helped the bite. The main body areas were very clear all day.

Report: Couldn't help but notice 5-7 lb bass charging smaller trout plants up onto the beaches at aldur, coolest thing I seen in a while. Thought I was on the nature channel. Hits on green and gold castmaster/split back rap from larger mobile trout. One or two good hook-ups but fish got off - how they do that on barbed trebles still gets me. . .
City: El ContendoTips: Pack out your trash or use a can.

Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 7am til 4pm and did pretty good
We got 29 fish all around 3lbs and one 6lber. Caught most of them on plastics, texas rigged. We fished the North End and the state park area. It was cold out there and didnt' really warm up until about 2pm.
Also, I know you can rent aluminum fishing boats in Lakeport..can't remeber the name of the place but they do have boats that have trolling motors in the front ect...it will get you on the water.
It is right in downtown Lakeport on the main road you can't miss it

Water Temp: 56-62
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I took two fellows for an instructional trip yesterday and the fishing was pretty good. I think the cold front slowed the big bass bite from the previous weekend. We could not break 3 1/2 lbs - couldn't believe it, but clients caught a lot of 'em and learned more about bass fishing. We didn't get to start until 8:30 (out of Lucerne) and the bite was already on. We broke two off - one right away. They were fishing different color Robo worms and small brush hogs and I fished a jig with good results. I tried a Shakey head for the first time with a MMIII Robo and it worked great - lots of fun. The bite died about 1 pm bite but picked up again in the later afternoon around Rocky Point. A client broke off a second bass up there. While watching bass boats running all over the place, I guessed the bite might have been slower for everone after the weather change, but I could be wrong. We still had jackets on until noon - cloud cover didn't allow much warmth. The afternoon was beautiful and warmer however.
City: Yuba CityTips: Fishing the lake this time of the year during a warming trend will always produce the bigger bass - last weekend should forever prove that! I was out of the state last week and missed it all. Ah, timing is everything!! I felt the jig bite is worth the effort - the last few bass on Rodstrainer brown/orange jigs were nailed by the bass. Most bass were in the shade of docks during the afternoon. Couldn't catch much in open water.

Report: 8 bass today all in tulieson south side. Pulled all of these fish from beds...mostly males 2-4lbs. and 1 female 8 lbs. All of these fish came on 7" yum lizzards. Lot of fish makin' beds but still a little ways to go for full blown spawn. Met a good bass fisherman today who also pulled a really good fish from swimming pool area on a rip bait and a couple good ones flippin'.
City: AntiochTips: fish between shore and tulie patches in skinny water 3' or less. Green with black flake and watrmelon w/red flake lizzards and sweet beavers dropped and dragged across beds.
