      Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Just wanted to thank Russ Graves for putting on Thanksgiving Day Turkey-Shoot! I believe winning weight for a "3-fish limit" was just over 11 pounds(6.5 lb. kicker!), very nice!!! We managed about 7.5 lbs., which our fish came on jigs and C-rigs. Also wanted to congratulate the guy in the silver with blue stripes Ranger, for not getting my Huddleston upside his head. Next time you pull those jet-skier lake-lice antics with a fellow angler, he might be waiting for you at the ramp!!! I'd expect more from a fellow bass angler, especially a "Ranger owner"...
      City: Rocklin

      Water Temp: 58.9 at brown

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Started off with swim bits, no takers. Toosed spook for a while, still nothing, jigs , darts, drop, still nothing. Went back to swim baits still nothing. Left with nothing.
      City: sacto

Tips: Sometimes nothing is a good thing, it reminds you that the bass are creatures of mystery at times.Did not look for bait nor fish, just fished. If you want to get at least something you need to do that. Good fishing , Jimbo

      Water Temp: 54

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: When I was growing up back in Maine, Thanksgiving morning meant hunting deer. This tradition continued through many generations in the Gray family. It continues to this day. Because I'm not there to join in, and because I've stopped hunting since I've been in Cal, now I go fishing instead. Even though I'm not back there with my family,I know we're all outdoors enjoying God's wonders. It gives me a sense of connection, which I cherish. I can only hope that they had as great a day as I did. I was on the water for only about 2 1/2 hrs,( didn't want to stretch my chain too far) but the fishing was great. Caught 10 fish, the best 5 going a little over 21 lbs. 5-10 LM, 4-12 LM, 4-10 smalie, and 2 smallies right at 3 were the best. After struggling with dinks and dinks and more dinks, for the past month, this was a welcome relief.
      City: Weaverville

Tips: For some reason, when the water temp drops below 55 deg the spoon bite really turns on. This has happened for a few years now, (maybe I shoulda been throwin spoons years ago). All my fish today except 1 were caught on Duh Team Spoons (the 4-12 LM was on the Gitzit). Thank you Mr. Tietz!

      Water Temp: busted gauge...

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: got on the water at 8 a.m. with my fishing partner David Rogers. Little overcast and slight wind on the water. Started in the north end of the lake where we found a nice rocky point with a huge school in about 50 ft of water. we stayed there until 10 with only 3 fish in the boat. So then we shot down to the south end and started along the steep rock walls after the 5 mph bouys and before the bridge. Picked up about 10 fish between the two of us up to 3/4 lb to 1.5 lbs. Most on drop shot, but did pull one out on a senko in some trees. We worked our way south and ran into 1.5 hrs of empty hooks. I realized that there was a prominent storm front on its way over the lake and might have an effect on the fish and i think it did. We found a nice school in the southern narrows in 28 ft. This was the jackpot. Wind blowing, air suddenly got cold, and the front directly over us and the bite got hot. Pulled close to 10 in a 30 min. window. from 3:20-3-50. ended the day with 24 fish between the two of us not much size but the numbers was what kept smiles on our faces. By far our best day here at anderson.
      City: Watsonville, Ca

Tips: Dont be afraid to get down deep with dropshot and most definately use your electronics to get on top of each school and try ur best to stay on it. Not much movement with the worms, and they seem to like it still. Also the fish were mouthing our baits and not doing the normal tap tap tap. So feel for weight on your line all the time. "Isn't it great to catch 24 in late november!.....gotta love it"

      Water Temp: 59

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I was able to return to my "roots" last night with a great night trip. Imagine - I never saw another boat! I guess tournament guys do sleep!! We launched out of Red Bud and fished the south end. We started near Jensen wall and caught a few before dark and one of the fellows landed a nice 5 3/4 pounder. We didn't have to wait too long for the night bite to take place and caught fish most of the trip. We fished docks, points, ledges, rockpiles, and walls. It was a 10" Power worm and brush hog bite, along with a few on 8" Dead Ringers. Never threw a jig this time. The only disappointing thing was that I lost a monster that actually bent out my hook a bit. Lost another big one on the next cast. No matter, my clients did well and caught all but one of the big bass (photo page). We caught one bass about 1 3/4 lbs and all the rest were 2 1/4 up to 8 lbs 1 oz - 20 bass total. The water is not cold enough for the savage early winter bites - most bass just picked up the worm.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: 58-59 degree water at Clear Lake in unheard of around Thanksgiving. If you forget - surface temp is usually around 49 to 54 degrees in later November. But bigger bass are beginning to show anyway - day and night. The 13 pounder caught recently is a good example. Average depth for us was about 10 to 18 feet. The "8" did come from 20-25 feet. This is a good time to use scent on your baits and think about slowing down your presentation. Believe it of not - Clear Lake will cool down - eventually!!!!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: The kids and I hit the lake at safe light out of Granite Bay. We started with main lake points and rock piles with home poured worms and jigs with nothing but a few short bites. We headed up to the north fork and continued to get bit on anything with green and or brown. Three hours on the lake and time to go home and get ready for Thanksgiving with only a few in the boat, nothing to talk about.
      City: Sacramento

Tips: All the fish were in 15 to 25 feet. You had to work the bait very slowly to get them to bite. Take a kid fishing........you might learn something!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Hey really though, you ought to pay attention to certain reports. Cooch is an extremely popular and not to mention very accomplished guide and tourni fisherman. Maybe if you payed attention to might catch some fish instead of pissin and moanin on few misspelled words.

      Report: JiChongGi Pond, South Korea

Winter comes early here in Korea and the first snow should fall very soon in my part of the country. The bass are slowing down now and moving deeper. It was a very good Fall Turn Over. My new Rattle Trap (Bill Lewis Chm / Blu) looks 10 years old now.

Currently Drop Shotting, small jigs, and grubs have been the ticket here. The Korean ponds and lakes are much similar to the California Lakes.

For the fisherman who know me I really miss my customized Valco Bass Boat "BASSBUSTER1". I could really make a killing here with it, but I'm having much fun hiking the hill sides (need the exercize)to get around the different parts of the lakes and ponds here.

For the ones who have been wondering where I've been or how I've been doing. I'm doing ok and my family and I hope to get a five year extension.
      City: Daegu, South Korea (currently)

Tips: When reading these reports keep an open mind and see what works for you. I've used this web site for the last five years and I'm very thankful.

Report: HIT DEL VALLE THE LEAS 3 DAYS JUST TO HAVE SOME FUN, BUT FISHING WAS TOUGH. MANAGED A FEW FISH BUT THEY WERENT ON ANY KIND OF REAL PATTERN... THIS LAKE IS BEGINING TO FALL APART. EAST BAY REGIONAL PARKS NEED TO RE-EVALUATE HOW THEY MANAGE THIER FISHERIES. 4 YEARS AGO IT WAS A BLAST AND NOW, WELL ITS POOR. THIS TIME OF YEAR USED TO BE GREAT AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND IT. THEY UP THE PRICE TO FISH AND I DONT SEE MUCH GOING BACK TO THE RECOURCE. AND I DONT JUST MEAN THIS WEEK! IT IS UNREAL WHAT YOU PAY TO JUST GET IN AND EVEN THE TROUT ARENT PLANTED IN THE NUMBERS THEY USED TOO. SHADOW CLIFFS IS EVEN WORSE. ANYWAY, IT IS DISHEARTNING,AND WITH THE MONEY PEOPLE ARE PAYING THERE IS NO EXCUSE, GET RID OF THE PARK POLICE MAKING 100,000 A YEAR AND GET THESE LAKES UP TO THE STANDARD THEY SET JUST A FEW SHORT YEARS AGO. THAT BEING SAID... THE FISH A SPREAD WAY OUT, IF YOU FIND ONE YOU MAY FIND TWO BUT GOOD LUCK, CAUGHT THEM ON DD22'S, DART HEAD (MORNING DAWN), AND STAYCE'S. BETTER FISH WILL DEFINATLEY COME ON THE RIP BAIT BUT YOU WILL THROW A WHILE TO GET THEM. CHARTRUSE SHAD AND CRAWDAD COLORED DD22S ALONG THE STEEP BLUFFS. IF YOU CAN NOT FIND THEM ANYWHERE ELSE HIT THE STEEP BLUFFS AND YOU'LL FIND THE DEPTH THEY WILL BE AT (AS SHALLOW AS 3 AS DEEP AS 30). AGAIN THIS LAKE IS WHERE I LEARNED TO FISH AND I CANT BELIEVE THE POOR MANAGMENT OF ITS FISHING RECOURCES, IT REALLY MAKES ME SAD TO FISH A LAKE WHERE I USED TO CATCH 30-50 FISH A TRIP AND BARLEY SCRAPE TOGETHER 5 FOR THE DAY. SHADOW CLIFFS IS EVEN WORSE BUT THATS ANOTHER STORY. BE PATIENT AND THROW THAT STAYCE AS LONG AS THE OLD WRIST CAN TAKE IT.

Tips: BLUFFS BY THE DAM STAY OUT OF THE SOUTH END UNLESS YOUR FISHING FOR TROUT.

Report: Anybody fishing from tuseday till sunday the weather going to start getting cooler at nights and some days my stay over cast but that dosent mean the bass will lock jaw up that second and third ramps and the dam area are holding fish wheather throwin swimbaits or throwing jigs these fish are there. Like i said the patterns havent changed in many years here high water or low. Dont ever be afraid to try something different. Tube baits in 4 1/2" and 1/4 to 3/8 jig heads works well starting about now verticle jiging in water 25 to 40 feet deep get over your target area drop it down making contact with the bottom jig it let settle most time they well pop it as it fall back to bottom but remember dont pop the bait jig it and keep close to bottom as possible. and tube baits are good around rock pile edges on ledges and dropoffs. And small isolated rock piles. One more bait you can put in the tackle box. Next report ill talk about spoons.
      City: kerman ca

Tips: TUBE BAITS ITS TIME. SPOONS ARE GOING TO BE COMING AROUND SOON ALSO. COLORS FOR TUBES PUMPKIN GRN/FLK, WATERMELON/CRAWFISH, CHART/PEPPER, JUNEBUG, WATERMELON/RED/BLK/FLK ARE GOOD COLOR TO START WITH.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Wimpies yesterday and concentraited on dead end slough hoping to find LM feeding on bass. Tide was outgoing all day. Managed to catch only a hand full between my partner and I, but made it up by killing the large crappie. Large crappie on Ultra Light tackle is fun. Some were approaching Clear Lake size.

Hey, No Name, I fish the Delta every weekend. I usually report better catches, but that is why they call it fishing not catching. In my opinion the Delta and Clearlake is your best bet for trophy bass. And just like anywhere if you don't take the time to learn the waters then you'll never be consistent. From my experience, these reports and pics are not BS, so keep you line wet and keep on fishing.
      City: Sacramento

Tips: Keep you line wet and quit blaming other people for your shotcomings.

      Water Temp: 57-59

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished yesterday and today. On Saturday there was a of lot pressure around the lake. I got bit 5 times and only landed a single fish. (I know, pathetic....) I headed to Shag rock and joined the flotilla of crappie fishermen and caught 4 crappie and a few bluegill in about 45 minutes.

Sunday started with fog as thick as pea soup. I fished for about 3 hours and took 3 fish, a 5-10, a 3-8 and a 2-8. I then chased the crappie again and caught a bunch of them the largest just over 2-4, very fun on light tackle. All fish were caught and released. The fog didn't clear until well after 1PM.
      City: Petaluma

Tips: When fishing in low visibility conditions please run with your lights on. I was amazed at the number of folks running around this morning with no lights at all.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished with Folsom Bass Team on Sunday. tough bite. fish were scattered. My partner and I fished North Arm, and caught fish on spooks, ripbait, darterhead, jig, and drop shot. No particular pattern. All were small and we weighed in just over 6 lb. Most were caught in around 15-20 ft of water, so had to fizz no fish at all. There was no wind where we were, but some fished the light wind in the main body and caught bigger limits. Winning weight was over 10 with a 5 lb kicker for 5 fish.

Tips: Keep looking. Like Lunker Larry said, when it cools off, it should be better.

      Water Temp: 58

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Another tough bite for us today. I managed only one nice 2 lb bass on a slow-rolled white spinnerbait in 15'. John got skunked for first time in several outings. It was a bluebird day, virtually no wind and sunshine most of the morning. We both tried several presentations, including lots of casts with swimbaits, crankbaits, spinnerbaits, chatterbaits, Swimming Senko, and jigs...but no bites. We both fished mainly in the 15 to 30 foot zone, trying to avoid the bank area that is pounded by most of the anglers here. We both fished in the weedbeds weeds along the shore...I tried on the surface and John punched through with weighted jig, but neither of us had any action there. I again found a lot of fish suspended between 40 and 60 feet but couldn't get them to hit deep lures like blade baits, horse-head jigs, swimbaits, and slow-rolled spinnerbaits.
      City: Monterey

Tips: There were several bass taken on drop-shot plastic worms and deep-fished spoons, by following the baitfish schools (shad and hitch) and fishing in and under them. The schools are constantly on the move, so it's a challenge staying with them...follow your depth-finder.
