      Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: bass classics club tournament. 2 day event card system with golden rule board. Started up south fork. Caught 8 over the slot? Best 5 12 lbs. Came in 5th place saturday. Big ones came on 4 inch morning dawn on 1/8 dart head poured by mad dog tackle. Two over 17 inches. Rain and clouds all day fish were in 40 feet. Smaller ones 15.Brass amd glass wood all day for smaller spots.
Sunday returned to same area caught a 17 1/2 inch spot right off. Added a 15 and 16 and rest 14's. Had 10.40 lbs sunday moved up one spot for 4th overall? Guy who won J. R. Taylor senko's and wacky rigged worms in backs of coves. I think he had 24 lbs for 2 days. Bite early was great for 3 over 17 inches before 8 o'clock.
      City: orangevale

Tips: Let your dart head hit the bottom. Fish slow. chanage colors of worms frequently if bite slows down. Don't know why but spots change whaat they like all day? My partner had 16 lbs and all different colors. 4 inch up to 7 inch worms.

      Water Temp: 57-60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished Friday-Sunday with the Redwood Empire Bass Club under clouds and scattered showers throughout the weekend. The bite turned out to be tougher than expected. Tried blades, crankbaits, rip baits, but not much luck. The best reaction bite we had was early Sunday morning when we caught 5 keepers before 8:00 on shad colored cranks. After that the bite died off. Saturday, my partner caught a 2.48 spot on a crankbait near some willows. The best action we found was in isolated willow trees tossing senkos. Not just around the trees, but you had to get the senko in the small pockets between the branches. The closer in, the better the bite. Just drop it straight down and watch your line. We averaged about 8 lbs a day for 5 fish.
      City: Rohnert Park

Tips: The senko bite really kicked in after 10:00 when the sun peaked out and the water warmed a couple degrees. Be sure to use at least 15 lb test when working in the willows to pull out those spots.

Report: Launched at Jones Valley at 0515 used moonlight on this great morning to find the houseboat from Silverthorn in Fort Creek Coves, picked up my client at 0530. Started with blades on long point in Fort Creek, not even a bump, fished several humps and points with no success before giving in to fishing the willows, had client throwing a Zoom weightless trick worm while I threw a jig My client caught three small fish and I changed to the same worm and promptly caught two more moved across the lake to Bear Cove where we caught several more including 2.5 spot, my client caught one fish on a dropshot and the rest of our 35 fish came on the zoom trick worm. No luck with dartheads or jigs. Dropped off my client at 1230 enjoyed fishing with you Greg, you are a good fisherman.
      City: Redding

Tips: Not all the willows hold fish but most of them do even if you can't see them

Report: Left the house at 4:00 p.m weather was warm shorts weather. Launched out of Whiskey at 5:00 p.m and the wind was howling blowing the opposite direction. Decided to head out to Mildred while all the other boats were coming in. Reached Mildred and the swells wer at least 2.5 feet. Man what a sight that was. Fished the back side flipping tight to cover and in the weed holes catching several fish to 3lbs. After braving the storm for two and a half hours the weather pattern changes again becoming calm as glass in Mildred. Started fishing blades with fish up to 6lbs. Headed back into whiskey and started throwing topwater behind the weed pockets catching small bucks. Best five went 18lbs.
      City: Tracy

Tips: Wear your P.F.D you never know what the Delta will do with all the changing weather patterns we have be experiencing. Stay safe and success to all.

      Water Temp: Low 60's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: We launched out of Ladds and decided to fish some new territory in the morning. Started the morning in Whiskey Slough and caught a 4lber on my 2nd cast. Then, fished Mildred and Discovery Bay. Decided to fish some familiar territory in the PM so we headed to Frank's Tract. Got there about 2:30P and did some fishing before the wind started to howl. Decided that we need to head back to Ladd's ASAP. By the time, we got back to Ladd's, we were soaking wet.

Fishing wasn't bad. Ended the day with 13 keeper size bass (best 5: 16 lbs)
      City: Dixon

Tips: Fish were tight to cover. Caught them on spinnerbaits and rat l traps.

      Water Temp: 62-64

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of orwood 630 am. Went to mildred/middle river. Fished outgoing tide. Caught about 25 fish up to 4 lbs. Threw senkos all day. Fish were buried deep in the weeds and threw bait in holes in the weeds. Tried trixie shad as a buzz bait but no takers. Had a nice red bass boat go out of his way to tell me my life jacket blew out of my boat. What a nice fellow bass guy! We need to look out for each other out there.... I hated the 45+ ft yachts which go by full blast with giant wakes which could swamp my boat if I didn't position it right.

      Water Temp: 61 - 65

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Paradise and headed to 14 mile. Fished the 2 to 6 foot ledge down the slough with outgoing tide. Didn't fish it long enough as I only had limited time today. Then went to Pixley and fished tule clumps with weeds lines. That's where they were. Current was brisk with a headwind and had to flip the bait up on the current breaks. Fished Kreatures and 9L Senkos. Largest bass was 4 lbs. Storm coming in so I left for home! Looked like the Oklahoma dust bowl out there!!
      City: Manteca

Tips: Bass bite is in full swing! Fished the trough between the weedline and tule clumps and targeted current breaks or slack water. Outside weed line only produced 1 Senko fish. Color didn't seem to matter but I primarily used black/blue Senko and black/chart Kreature. Good luck!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched at Ladd's this morning about 7 a.m. and headed north, towards the middle delta looking for some new best spots. That's always a challenge for me. About 1/3 of the new stuff I tried turned out to be fairly productive. Most of the fish came from tules, inside or outside it didn't seem to matter and the bait of choice was a brush hog. Ended the trip with a total of 24 fish with the biggest going 3.1, 3.4, 4.8. Off the water around 1 p.m.
      City: Stockton

Tips: Slow, Most of the bites were swim off's.

Home for lunch and the standard afternoon nap, and then off for the evening bite.More of the same, fun times! Around 5p.m. the front came through. Rain, wind, and thunder skrikes around the lake! time to get off the lake. saturday morning-light rain, and 12-15 degrees cooler than friday.no worries, kept with the same pattern, and still did fairly well. Checked the future pro results for the day , and we would of come in about 25th place for the day.I can live with that. Average fish 3-3.25 lbs- big fish 4.5 lbs. no real size, but had fun!
      City: antelope

Tips: For my experience-5 inch weightless senkos rigged texas style was the only way to go.for me,nothing else worked.Have fun.Had to come home a day early-family issues.

      Water Temp: 72-74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Awsome day I had with two clients from Danville, a father and son. The boy 7yrs old, became a vetern overnight. His first fish of the day a sweet 5.5lb largemouth.

I started the day by the ramp to get some quik fish, dink, dink. We all were throwing dropshot rigs around 25ft. We were using the new on the market Quickdrops 3/16th and 1/4oz teardrops with a 9 to 12inch tag. Im moved within 15min's towards the dam area and decided to fish the dam's wall. Same thing dinks dinks dinks.

With all the dinks showing I knew the larger fish weren't around. I moved to a break that I knew was at or around 25ft and bottomed out around 45ft. We were throwing roboworms in purple and green with no results until I went to the "Morning Dawn" (:Lovely Dawn:). The minute I but the worm on the boys hook. He caught the 5.5lb. For about 20minutes everyone including myself were in Ahwww!!!. Camera's were click'in and high five all around the boat. I just looked at his dad and said "we're playing the happy campers". From that point on we just fished slow and with a slight breeze we caught and release and even 20 fish. It was 3:15PM when we quit. In that 20fish there were only 2 dinks that came off of the break. The average fish weighted in at around 2.8-9 to 3fish over 3lbs. The Bite with the Morning Dawn lasted to around 11AM and then I switch a clear Hologram 5 1/2in with blue, black and purple flack. The bite continued to around 2PM and then slowed up. The breeze that we had diminished and so did the bite. Still one hell of a day. The picture of the boy will be up on Westernbass.com as soon has I can.

Tips: Look for balls of shad around 18ft to 35ft a break line within that proximaty is a must. With the cold morning these past 5-6days are making the fish move to feed up.

5 1/2 to 6inch Roboworms in Morning Dawn a must have...

Report: Whats up with the lack of reports here? I know people have been fishin the lake I've seen them! Perhaps no one is actually landing any fish?
Not true. A local boy landed a 14 3/4 lb fat large mouth there about 4 weeks back! on hand poured worms I think he said. His picture of the fish made our local rags!

Report: It was a really great weekend at Almaden. The Bass were on. I caught all my fish on swimbaits. I caught 4 fish each day and all weighing over 7lbs. I'll put the pics up of all fish for this weekend in a few. Hope the bite stays on for next week.
      City: San Jose

Tips: I threw 6" persuaders swimbaits and fished it really slow then dropping it then, retrieve it again. When you feel a thump hang on....

      Good luck,

      Water Temp: 63-68

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Lake wasn't muddy anymore, just pretty stained - just the right amount I'd guess considering the final results. Got a few bites from very small fish - they were too small to eat a jig but could eat a senko - caught maybe 4-5 of these 8 inchers. Finally got a few keepers in the 1 to 2.5 pound range. About 9:30 pm got an 8.1 then no bites for about 2 hours until I got a 5.7 followed by no bites for about 2.5 hours and then got a 4.8. A strong north wind came up that shut the fishing down but I finally got some quality fish that made up for a few slow trips in recent months. Five fish limit was a bit over 22 pounds. Most fish were in about 10 feet of water.
      City: Folsom

Tips: Cover a lot of water, fish the shallower sloping banks, and never count on the weather forecast. Always assume they're wrong and make sure you go on a night at least 48 hours from predicted rain because you may find out that the storm comes in a day early. I was wanting to go on Friday night but went on Thursday instead just to play it safe. I'm glad I did! Wind, clouds, and rain came in on Friday but Thursday night had nice thin clouds to filter the moonlight and the big fish were (finally) up.

      Water Temp: 59-64

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Did a single guide trip today. Fishing mostly in the southend of the lake (Dam), Narrows and front section of Wraggs. Northend of lake was off, no fish to be caught nor seen.

Caught them down south ripp'in Luckycraft 78's and drop-shottin roboworms (Purple Ghost & A/Magic's)also shakin in 20-25ft of water off of points to main water. Ripped fish, all smallmouth on shale points or flats just inside of points. No largemouth where caught to speak of. For the coves I checked (about 10) I didn't see any fish that would of went over 1 1/2lb. The fish that we did catch were all post spawners. Also, noticed that there were no topwater action such has trout chas'in shad to the top. This should start the minute the water stables out. I would bet there is going to be a second spawn this year if the weather ever stables out or watertemp.
      City: Livermore

Tips: Concentrate on points or main banks to major depths. Worms, Greens, shad patterns work. Downsize on Ripbaits to either LC 78's or TD Minnows. Depths 14-30ft should get you plenty of fish. Look for a topwater bite comin soon to your neighborhood LOL!!!!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got home from work and decided to enjoy the nice warm evening until 10 p.m. Also decided to stay in the back yard this time for a change. From 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. got a total of 12 bass. Best five were 6.0, 5.3, 2.5, 2.4, 1.3 for 17.5 total. Buzz baits, Strike King's Magnum bleeding series flipping tubes, and senkos were the ticket for th night.
      City: Ladd's, Stockton

Tips: It's a full moon phase now and most of the larger fish are more active after dark.
