      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I got out today at about 12. I went straight to the island to see if I could get that good drop shot bite that Jamond wrote about. Well in the first 10 minutes I caught two dinks on an Oxblood Swirl Reaction Innovations Flirt worm. Then a few minutes later I get bit and when I set the hook the fish is actually stripping drag. So I was thinking "Yes finally a keeper". So after a couple short runs I got it in and it was a fat female about 5.5lbs. I didn't have a scale so I just estimated the weight. Then the wind really started picking up and I caught 2 more dinks. I switched to an Oxblood Smallie Beaver on a football head jig and caught another dink. I started throwing a Lucky Craft Combat CB later on and was diggin the bottom with it and got bit. So I set the hook and it seems like another nice one. Unfortunately, it wasn't a bass. It was a 2lb catfish. I didn't get anything after that and left at about 5:15.
      City: Antioch

Tips: Like Jamond said, drop shot off the island with a purple worm.

      Report: Roamer,

We don't use sites like hitsunlimited.com, despite the fact that we'd have a high ranking on it, because we've seen time and again that they don't have any validity to the numbers they keep. It's also why we don't particpate in a number of other hit tracking sites and sites that pay you per purchase, they simply don't work well. Sites like that use the traffic from sites like ours to bolster their own traffic numbers and little more.

      Report: Anthony,
a small population of steelhead and salmon do come up that creek to spawn up a ways, lthough not every year. That is the reason that there are fish ladders behind the water district bldg. I believe there is a 0 limit so release them unharmed
Thanks for the report on the lake.

Report: Outstanding. Ok, we used minnows, but we found bass in 7-9 to 20-25 feet. Caught and released at least 30 bass up to 3 pounds. A mix of both males and females. Something though (striper or a channel cat) grabbed the minnow and stripped about 50 feet of line out before it snapped.

Iv'e been cathcing them by the lagoon, a ton on the island, and some big ones on the east shore by the dam.Right now is a great time for bass and it seems that everybody is catching them off the purple worm.

Report: Took out the float tube at 9:00 AM - 12:30 PM and did well. Split shot plumb 4" worm in the south end, Baby Wedge. Water is up and warming nicely, still muddy. Caught 14, most in the 1 - 3 lb range with 2 in the 5lb range. Wind and rain made it difficult to detect the bite, switched to blade in 10' depth after 11:00 AM. 8 on worm 6 on blade.

      Water Temp: 60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished franks in the morning on old river had a couple of blow ups on a spook. Moved over to piper and got 5 on senkos and chart spinner. Moved to middle river and got 5 more on brush hogs and rattletraps. My partner landed a minnow on a buzz bait. All in all not to bad fish ranged from 3.5# to 1.5# considering the front moving in fast.

Tips: Fish the outside weed beds at low tide with a drop shot. SLOW

      Water Temp: 54

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Tough days. Fished Mon-thurs for a total of 3 fish. No reaction bites at all. All the fish came on Senkos and Jigs - fished slowwwwww. Dad lost a 5+ lb trout which ate a senko in the river arm. Rising water with white caps was the main culprit for the poor fishing. Water is now flowing over spillway so things should stabilize with a few days of good weather.
      City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Give it a few days then come up and rip some lips.

      Water Temp: 60-65

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got there about 2:30. The bass have been on fire so far. Using a drop shot I've caught about 50 bass in three days> Yesterday was the kicker I caught a 7lb trout. As it got later the fishing just all of a sudden went on a tear. The first yielded a 3lb. Followed three consecutive fish 3.25,4.12,5.56. The island was pretty hot for few days. Giving me about twenty fish one day, with most the fish being about 1-3 lbs, with biggest going about 5.5lbs. A few 4lbers mixed in. Today I went there for about an hour at 2:00,with the wind and rain howling, the second cast to a was a 6lber. That ended up being the only fish because I was soaked and the wind was blowing too hard. Most of the bigger fish were females with huge stomachs. Alot of 1-2.5lb males though. The water is prety warm most of the fish came between 6-12 ft of the bank. The water level is rising now. Look for a change in the bottom or a point. I've been using Reaction Innovations drop shot worm in Main Vein. Any darker color will work fine. Purple and dark brown have been the best.
      City: Oakley

Tips: Pay attention to where you caught the fish. The fish have been stacked. I caught five fish on five cast the fifth being a 5.5lber. Thats on two different days.

Report: There was rain on and off all day, and the fishing was on and off all day, but overall it was a great day. 2 of us brought in 12 keeper sized fish, lost a few and caught a few small ones. Most fish came out of 12-16 feet of water, but some came shallower, even right off the bank. Jigs were working best. Contact with the bottom was key and the bite was usually pretty subtle. They weren't too picky about color. We had the best luck in coves and off the shoulders/points on either side of the coves. We fished mostly in the norther part of the lake towards Putah creek. The water gets pretty dark as you get closer to the creek so we backed out of that. My favorite banks weren't producing much.

Tips: Throw a jig up and shore and work it down to 15 or 20 feet of water. Keep contact with the bottom and set the hook on anything that feels funny since the bites are subtle.

      Water Temp: 55

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Took a couple younger guys out to Folsom for some fun fishing who had been having a tough time finding fish, Boy talk about windy and I speared a good one in the Ranger. Maggie , my dog went from the front deck to the back one riding a wave. The water is up over my last visit and colder probably due to the snow melt. I stayed in the North arm for about 3 hours and left when the hail and lighting started.
      City: Carmichael

Tips: No reaction fish on rips, blades or cranks which surprised me with all the wind, and the drop in pressure. If you could get boat control a good fish or two could be picked up on each secondary point going back into a cove. Watermelon baby hog or yamamoto lizard on a C-rig with a 18-24 inch leader. Nasty weather and thank goodness for my fish hedz.
