      Water Temp: high 50's

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: I should have known when I saw white caps in the puddles on the side of the road it was going to be a windy one. I haven't fished a day this windy in years. Long story short really windy, fished docks mostly and tried to stay out of the wind. Got about 10 fish all around a pound except for the nice little 6lb 1oz I got. Lots of little fish out there bangin the bait. Fished only jigs today from about 7-1 in Sandmound, Piper and Taylor. Guy on one of the docks said his daughter caught a 10+ the day before fishing for bluegill with a worm and a bobber, go figure.

      Water Temp: 61 North Lake--

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fishing buddy and I got SKUNKED on Tuesday after fishing hard for 5 hours in the North West shallows using Senkos, cranks and Jigs. Thread-fin Shad were EVERYWHERE. Buddy slapped at the shad with his rod-tip and a nice bass blew-up out of the grass within 2 feet of the boat, probably thinking that another bass had blown up on the shad school and taking advantage to pick-up any confused and injured shad .

A meal is too easily had for these fish right now. Talked to some other folks at the ramp when departing and they were skunked, also.

      Tips: No idea!

      Water Temp: 59-63

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Today was a half day trip with Barry Damond visiting from Alberta, Cananda. It was his second day out with me and I was crossing my fingers he would stick a good one. Turned out there were no toads caught but I think he really enjoyed the weather and the fishing wasn't too bad. Boat traffic was heavy but the bass still were eating and he managed 8 fish to 4lbs and one nice fish that came unbuttoned unfortunatly. Fishing plastics slow in the back of creeks and secondary points is where we found em today. Bite was light. Main lake was busy and kept us in the 5 all day on both ends of the lake. Awesome weather today.

Report: Hit the water at 7:45 with a blade and stuck on a ncie solid fish, so solid I would have to say it was a carp. Fish came unbuttoned after 10 seconds. Swithed to a crank and caught one quick fish. Around 9am I went to the ripbait and didnt put it down til 12:15pm. Caught 16-17 fish mostly small with a couple fish in the 2lb range.

Tips: Fish them ripbaits hard and fast. All fish came in the 3'-8' range. Weeds rock etc all locations had fish.

      City: Sacramento

Tips: up north the fish still really arent on beds yet. try cranking or drop shotting into deeper water.

      Water Temp: 62-64

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water at 630 and head to my favorite water this time of year. The should be moving up. First cast on a jig I hit a 2# real tight to the bank. Kept moving, kept casting, a hit every 7th cast. These fish are moving up and are hungry. Had a fair limit by 830. By 1030 I hit a 6# and a 4#. By 1200 I had another 4# on a 5" green-weenie and another 6# on a Senko. Caught over 20+ fish on jigs and plastics. Best 5 went around 23-24 lbs. One of my best days on the Delta.
      City: Fremont

Tips: Look for clear water and the fish should be sunning themself. Jigs and plastics. The blade bit should turn on real soon...

      Water Temp: 63-64 dam area

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: A cool spring day. Cloud cover all day long and warming water during the week allowed fish to move shallow. The water had a tanic stain to it. Approx 20 fish caught in 3 to 10 ft of water. Best 3 fish were 6, 5 and 3. The 3lb fish came on a brwn/prpl jig early, down by the dam, all of the other fish came on a wtrmln/red Senko related to shallow cover in a warmer part of the lake. Cover was anything from a single dead weed stick-up to green brush. All of the fish hit on the initial sink of the bait so pitching worked well, effectivley covering every target. Two pound fish were several, quickly admired and released. What a lake! All fish were released alive. Total wt for the 3 fish, 13.82 lbs
      City: Modesto

Tips: NEVER give up. 5lb fish came at the ramp 10 minutes before weigh-in. "One more cast"...
