Trinity Lake
-
Water Temp: 47
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Took my dad and brother out on Trinity for the day. Weather was cold and rainy but the fish did not mind. We trolled hula spins over the top of the rock piles on the north end. Together we landed 27 fish ranging from 1lb. to 4.5lbs. which dad caught they have the way of doing that. Alot of other fisherman out 13 boats all fishing the same area. I talked to one of the fisherman named John he was using crickets on the tree island break and he had a stringer of nice bass but only 1 smallmouth the rest were largemouth. We only caught three largemouth and the rest were smallies. The only thing we could figure is the smallies were more agressive for the reaction baits and the largemouth were a little more lathargic.
City: EtnaTips: Go early to get a spot in the parking lot!!!!

Berryessa Lake
-
Water Temp: 53 am -- - 55.7
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Two days on Berryessa, Saturday I pre-fished for the Federation Tourn. on Sunday. Very different days. Lot's of boats on the water Saturday as 100% had a tourn. with around 40 boats, I was told. Spent all day North for a decent day best five went 14 or so with no real defined pattern. I caught smallmouth on 3/8 oz. jigs on points in 25 feet as well as Largemouth on flats carolina rigging a lizard, a tube fish, swim bait fish or two, several rip fish and my partner Steve picked up a crank bait fish or two and since he likes to drag a worm that picked up some fish to.So 20 or so fish with 3 a little over 3 lbs several solid mid 2's . Now Tourn. Day was different very windy but a South wind however the water temp dropped 3 degrees overnight and really never got back to where it was on Saturday. I thought the reaction bite would be off the hook, not so. My Carolinma rig produced a lot of dinks today and most of our rip fish were slapping the bait rather than eating it. I was fortunate enough to learn alot today.
City: CarmichaelTips: When the pattern or bite changes overnight the fish did not teleport to another location on the Lake. The PRESENTATION did change. Adam , my back seat draw partner for the day whipped me real good with a drop shot bass trix curley tail on a ultralight fishing behind my C-Rigged lizard which went untouched, for the most part. It seemed that the fish reacted to the storm front by shuting down rather than turning on. I would have expected this with a Northern front but a Southern wind and rain, I guess that is why we go fishing. Good day overall, Adam was culling by 11:00 and I got attitude and turned loose my first few fish with the remark," I'm not weighing in that little fish", oh the lessions of life. ps, This is a good , well run circuit, give it a try. BASS Federation.

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: theres a lot of places and varity of stuff to use, most people tend to drop shot or use senko baits waitless or wacky. The boat launch area is ok, find a lot there, some would try the island with jigs or top water, mainly poppers or frog baits. every where else people tend to go with senkos any color works besides salt and pepper, but most bites are off purple.

Water Temp: 50-59
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: The fishing is slow but if you hit the spot,fish-on....I would prefer spinner baits for trout 1-2'...And casting into the shallows for the bass...Use a worm 3-4'on the bass.
City: venturaTips: dont go into shallow water if your fishing for bass...Troll for trout if your fishing trout...Go into deeper water if your fishing for catfish...

Stevens Creek Lake
-
Water Temp: 55deg
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: i took my float tube out and dropshotted 4inch worms with a secret weapon that tends to catch fish everytime i use it so far. i caught two lg mouth bass, one 2lber and one 3lber. the best ive ever done here under the worst conditions.
City: Santa ClaraTips: i caught them around 10am and 10:10am when it was barely drizzling, only started raining when i left at about 2:15pm. caught them around the same bank. they were fat and probably on beds. i learned awhile ago that SCR is ahead of all the other lakes in the Spawn, post spawn and pre spawn stages and the post spawn is longer bcuz of the coldness of the water takes time to get the bass active again. happy fishing!

Report: saturday turned out to be a nice day got down to the lake at about 11 fished till 5. most of our fish came off steep points, cranking, small tubes, and brushogs. biggest went 2.5 all in all we got about 20 to 25 fish between me and my son, he had me down 7 to 3 early on, but the old man came back and put a whoopin on him late in the day. Water Temp: 50 something
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: I caught 5 nice largemouth bass today. I think the real tough winter is over because I found several hungry fish. No luck from 6:30 to 8 fishin grass and rocks with the lizzard and jig but I changed patterns at 8 and started fishin the points, breaks and dropoffs where there was current and is was ON! 5 fish in 1 hour biggest was 2.5 and the smallest was a pound but the fishin was good for me on Old River/Italian. Gone by 10:30 and satisfaction was high. Can't wait till next weekend because it is time to catch fish in the delta right now. I had gone 0 for 3 in Jan/Feb here but 1 for 4 is good and no skunks expexted now through late Dec. Good luck to you all!
City: San LeandroTips: I got em on 2 jigs. 3/8 blk/blu and 1/4 blk/blu.
