Water Temp: 50-51
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Started at day break,DIDN'T hook my first fish until 12:30 on a rocky point in the south fork.Continuted to hook 7 spots in 4 hours up to 3.5 pounds working the same point. Worked the same area because it was the only place I found willing fish.
City: antelopeTips: Caught all fish on a watermelon senko in about 23-35 feet-worked verrrrrry slowly! Fun stuff!
-
Water Temp: 53-55
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Cold morning, no fog or winds for a nice day on the water. Joe Miller and I went out at safe sun light from Granite Bay. Our first stop was a Island top in the main body, o fish. Drove in the north fork to a rocky point and Joe found a 2 lb smallie with a brown/purple 1/2 oz JK jig.
I switched over to a drop shot with a 3" minnow and found they like it. We got five keepers and headed home at 1:pm.

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished local club tourney Sunday. Our "loaner" boat had a inoperable trolling motor and no electronics. we were forced to tie-up to trees in coves and work the area slowly. Caught 3 over 15" in the morning. Moved to see what the rest of the club members were doing. We found them fishing muddy water and very little in their wells. We went back to our tree and clearer water and caught two more for a limit. Used Robo "green weenies" and Berkeley Power Worms "June Bug."
City: Valley SpringsTips: Up in the cove in shallow water where the clear water was entering. Bass were able to see our bait. Stay out of the muddy water.

Linda 13 Bob 8, with most of her bass in the 2.2 to 2.6 lbs range. Linda is a happy camper.

Report: launched out of markley's for the first trip of the year at 9am with the parking lot almost full.fished from 9-3 with about 8 bites and boated 5 keepers up to 2#. it was pretty slow, but it was a beautiful winter day which made it enjoyable...graphed alot of bait in the 40 to 75' depths, but caught my fish in 10-30' on plastics. i want to thank r. theil for his report as it gave me a starting point. All of my fish were spots and yes they were very anemic in color.

Calero Reservoir
-
Water Temp: 51-52
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: The water clarity was actually not that bad. And the water level is real high up. Got out there really late.(about 3.00pm) FIshed a bunch of spots with jigs but I got skunked, towards the end, my buddy got a little guy of a rock point on a junebug brush hog. Marked fish in the deeps but they are full with shad. I wish I could have tried to south end but we had to leave.
City: San JoseTips: Bite should pick up in a few more days after the fish get used to the new water levels. No tips for now.

California Delta
-
Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Angler's Choice tourn. out of Orwood today.Probably around 30 boats. Tough bite, we only had one fish and my partner Gabe got it on a rattle trap. I fished jigs, senko, and zipper worms without even a bump.Winning weight was around 17 lbs for 4 fish then it dropped off quick with alot of teams blanking. Our only fish came from Whites where the water was a little cleaner and a tad bit warmer, around 50. Rained off and on , windy and I wish my Fish Heads mask had gotten here this week. The rain stings at 60 mph. Oh well, Spring is a commin.
City: CarmichaelTips: We did get a quick limit of 8 to 12 lb Strippers early which made for groceries. Rattle traps, spinner bait and a swim bait got those on the out going tide around 8 am. Wish I had a pattern, but not today. The weather changed today by the hour. Beautiful rainbows were everywhere.

Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished tourny out of Tracy Oasis today. No doubt about it, the bite was tuff for all competing. My partner Cliff and I had 3 fish for 8.30 pounds. Enough for second place. First was in the 10s. All in all, had a great day on the water, ever with the wind and rain.
City: TracyTips: Fish caught on black and red jigs from 10 feet and deeper, light currant and points. Did not find any fish to hit blades or cranks. Hope for early spring.

Report: Rain, sleet, snow, and hail.Postman got nothing on us.Club tourney, winning weight 19+lbs.Kicker was a fat 9+lb on Aurora Black rip bait(unfortunatly it wasn't me). Water is coming up good, tules are getting flooded.Fish are all over the water column.Dropshot em @3ft,ripped em @6',and spooned em @28'.The bite really turned on when the snow started falling, possible pattern?Har Har.Oh ya, the crappie bite is red hot!
City: MiddletownTips: Be in the right place at the right time, maybe somewhere between Windflower and Long tule point, maybe. We bladed the tules with no luck yet, but wormed some keepers tight on the edges. Good luck and keep on rippin on!

Eastman Lake
-
Water Temp: 51to53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Today was a slower day on the water the bass were holding in deeper water and the bite was off a little because the water level was come up several feet and the lake is stained now. There are some nice bass still being caught but not as many. Bass are in the 2 to 3 pound class with the big fish being 11 pounds caught on a swim bait by ron sanchez of fresno ca. The color to use are still green pumpkin ( yamamoto )grubs in 208 watermelon/red&black flake single tail as a trailer work good. i throw i own jigs ( Lefty's lure co.)bass jigs in lite green pumpkin in 3/8 oz. football with nickle mustad 3/0 hook we have been trying new color ive made up starting in 2006 and they have been working well. Will have more info well i fine tune these baits here and at hensley lake. im working on a a spring time jig for shallow bass that should be a real heart stopper. Triffic is lite and the weather is off and on with overcast.
City: kerman ca.Tips: Fish slow and rock piles and creek channels are godd right now jigs are a very good bait to throw for 2 to 4 pounds bass swim bait are a big fish bait and get fewer bites. But quilty is always on the big side useing that bait.
