Collins Lake
-
Water Temp: 60-64
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Headed out with my friend and I for the second day in a row. Figured out what the fish were doing the day before and had to come back. FOund fish on the east side in shallow water. Most of them coming from 5 feet of less. All fish were hugging the trees. Caught all fish on purple jigs with a yamamoto twin tail trailer, and white spinnerbait with white blades. Most fish hit the jig. Nothing to big all pound largies and spots here and there. Biggest was just over 2 pounds hit the blades, even caught a 4 pound trout on the blades??? weird fish, came off a tree?? 23 bass total for the day. good luck.
City: Citrus HeightsTips: I know people read these reports, looking for a hot spot to fish. I have nothing to hide, fished the trees on the east side. Feel free to share your info too.
-
Water Temp: 51-60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Water warmer in main body. 5 degrees increase between 6am & 3pm everywhere from bright sun. Fish hit cranks & spinnerbaits (especially early) and Texas rig green/brown worms. Relating to dropoffs but not brush or trees. Senkos worked earlier this week, but not today. Most fish 10-20 feet deep.

Coyote Lake
-
Water Temp: 63
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: fished hard with little success. Kyle got one and I lost one. Nothing big. some one said they got a 6-lbr. but who knows if they were telling the truth? It will be a while before the lake realy turns on. give it some time to clear.
City: Santa ClaraTips: give it a try at least the weather is nice.

Eastman Lake
-
Water Temp: 63 to 67
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I had to come back since I did well the day before started similar to the day before but as soon as I started casting the bass were biting. I took one of my buddies that had never been there and he loved it. My first fish was a three pounder and I was pumped, I had 3 three pounders by 9:00am. Got in to a real nice one that would have went 8 or 9 pounds but luck was not on my side and the fish was able to spit the hook. The fish were biting all day around 12:30pm I caught a 5.1 pound bass. Nice fish that just made my day me and my partner caught a couple more and then called it a day. I ended up with 17 fish and my partner with 6 fish, my biggest five would have went around 16 pounds today so bringing my two day total to around 33 pounds, good enough for me. See ya out there and good luck!!!
City: CoalingaTips: Just get on the water the bass are everywhere and they are active as can be. Try shallow but don't sit in one spot all day, it seems that fish move in and out all day. Good luck and God Bless.
P.S. lots of two to four pounders on both days.

Folsom Lake
-
Water Temp: 53 - 59
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: The water was colder than I was hoping. As we left the dock in 57 degree water that quickly changed to 53 in the south arm. We fished shad pattern spinners and cranks with no luck until we found mud lines. That was the tickets for the rest of the afternoon. 3 in the boat and went home with a nice tan and a great afternoon of fish stories to tell.
City: South Lake Tahoe -
Water Temp: 56
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Anyone fishing Folsom lately would know the 5 lb tasty morsel is a false report. The bite has been good on ripbaits, darterhead, jigs, and blades. The key is to fish shallow flats under 10' of water. Was out this morning 6 am to 10 am and caught 8 spots. All were 2 to 3 lbs very chubby fish ready to spawn.
Watched the N B tournament weigh-in on Saturday that had around thirty boats.Every boat had a limit less three. The average fish was 2.5 lbs.Large fish was 4lbs.I dont think many of the big girls have moved in yet making the 5 lb tasty morsel story more likely a prevarication (lie)
City: Granite Bay Ca.Tips: If your not getting bit, move.

Report: There are NO legal guides for San Pablo. EBMUD requires a permit to guide on San Pablo and there are currently no permits issued. So if anyone is guiding on San Pablo they are doing so illegally.
Tips: If you hire a guide for anywhere in California be sure to check that they are licensed and bonded as required by law.

Spring Lake
-
Water Temp: 52-56
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: got to the lake around 7:45am. Water was still pretty muddy missed one fish in the tules be the boat dock. Fished out toward the north side of the lake, saw a lot of movement in the tules as if bass were chasing bait fish but couldn't find the bite. Of the 6 boats and 4 belly boaters I spoke to only 2 had caught fish, one on a white spinner. Not sure what the other was caught on.

Tulloch Lake
-
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: This lake is on fire!!!! Bass were on beds everywhere. My partner and I caught 25 or more bass.90% came from beds, all released.Mostley smallmouth but the largemouth were not to shabby. The biggest fish was 4lbs and not to many under 3lbs. Seen one fish over 8lbs cruising in Black creek.
City: OakdaleTips: Fish were in about 4-10ft of water. If you see a bed, chances are their is gonna be a fish in it.
Those fish were tough to see.The smallmouth will hit just about anything, but the largemouth were a bit more finicky. Also caught some rippin the main lake points.

Whiskeytown Lake
-
Water Temp: 48
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fishing was slow for me on Saturday with a few takes on a Deep diving "Fire Tiger" crankbait, working slow.
Other fishermen said that they also had poor luck to no luck, but did well on Friday the day before, they couldn't understand how it could turn on to off overnight.
City: ReddingTips: Water temp is still cool.
Only one dock at Whiskey Creek is operational.
Believe it or not, the Tube Pullers are already out! Someone get a clue! It may be 82 outside, but the water temp is still 48!!! Hypothermia!!!
Did I feel sorry when those kids fell off the Tubes???

Amador Lake
-
Water Temp: 62-67
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Weather was beautiful. Sunny and in the 80's. Fished all over the lake. Should of been prime time bassin but all I got was one "bite" on my Husky Jerk, a follower to the boat on a modified brown/char. senko, and one 3 pounder on a witches-t in Donay Bay.
City: San JoseTips: Not sure where they're at. Used Senkos, char. spinnerbait, brown/orange jig w/trailer, husky jerk, and a shad swim bait. Fished at night w/big ass black worms but no takers at night. Bring cash, Amador is up to $28 for two people to fish from a boat, day use only. Camping is an additional $20 a night.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Well, one hell of a slow day at Amador. For a lake constantly stocked with trout i couldnt believe how dead the lake was. I prefer bass fishing over trout anyday, but was taking some inexperienced guys from my church for a day of shore fishing for trout. Nobody caught anything, except for very few shore fisherman. Ended up catching one and finally got tired of trying for trout half way through the day and noticed a bunch of small bass sitting on the shoreline, so i gave up and whipped out the Spider Jig. Walked the shoreline around the small cove by the diner, caught 6 small bass, only a few keepers, but all my friends ended up catching one each themselves. Big waste of money fishing today and it was the busiest ive ever seen this lake. If you have a boat, i suggest go further up the lake and check out some of the bass holes. The bass are coming really shallow i caught all of mine in 3 foot of water or less. I was actually sight fishing for most of the fish i caught. I was thinking about taking a guided bass fishing trip on the lake, does anyone know a really good guide, if you do please let me know, and let me know what success you had with them.

Report: Modesto Castmasters club tournie out of Ladd's.
12 boats, all with two on board. Fairly tough bite reported by all. Boat limit 5 fish, first place weighed in five for over 15 lb.s. Three big ladies taken from 6 to over 8. Almost zero reaction bites reported. Our team had seven in the boat and weighed in three keepers - all taken on the bottom using worms and hogs in 2 to 12'. Main channels still cold, protected and backwater areas 61 - 69 degrees. No spawners seen. R
City: Mother LodeTips: Black w. red flake in low light, green hogs thereafter. SLOW!!
-
Water Temp: 58-61
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished Angler's Choice West. Caught a good number of fish but all were small. Fished the South Delta for the most part and found fish with a new red LC crank bait, tubes, and jigs. Partner and I weighed in a small 11lb limit on the day. The better bites came as the day/water warmed up and the tide changed from High/Low. Fish we did catch were in 6ft and less. Our deep water spots held only small fish for us.
City: Discovery BayTips: Jig & Tube bite started for us after Noon and was consistent until we weighed in at 3:00 PM. Still finding fish wanting a slow retrieve/presentation. Rock and grass combination was key to all our bites. I'm certain the big girls are there as winner had 24+ lbs for 5. MORE TIME ON THE WATER. Stay safe. TG.
