Report: My Dad and I went to Eastman saturday-got kinda a late start and didnt get on the water till around 7ish. We went to the northeast corner o the lake and started with oshore rock piles. We inessed 4" green/black/gold lk roboworms on 1/4 oz darter heads and I caught a ish on my 3rd,4th and 6th cast! We continued north and the water got shallower and shallower-I'm talking 2' deep 30'o shore! We also lipped the timber with jigs and senkos-I caught 1 ish on a jig that was well over 3 lbs o timber in less than 2' o water reading 83 degrees! Dad had a ishless morning and I managed a total o 6 by 10 am.It got hotter than hell when the normal breeze didnt blow but all in all considering the water clarity and etc we did ok or the middle o summer! Good luck and tight lines to ya!
City: ChowchillaTips: ish sloooooow and shallow-small baits, light weight and as always tight to rock and/or timber.

Report: SORRY THE REPORTS A LITTLE LATE(FISHING). HIT THE WATER ABOUT 10PM OR SO, FISHED THE DAM, BOUY SIDE WHEN MY BUDDY CAUGHT A FISH ON HIS FIRST CAST. BAAAAD LUCK! RAN INTO GILL, HE SAID THE FISHING HAD BEEN SLOW BUT TO STICK IT OUT, SO WE DID. DIDN,T CATCH ANOTHER FISH FOR THREE HOURS OR SO ,FEELING A LITTLE TIRED AND FRUSTRATED WENT UP TO JACKSON TO TRY AND CATCH SOME WISKERS BUT FAILED AT THAT TOO! SUN WAS COMING UP SO WE FISHED MOUNTAIN SPRINGS. MY BUDDY CAUGHT A BUZZ BAIT FISH GOOD FOR 2IBS. WENT BACK TO THE DAM AND FISHED THE BOUY SIDE AGAIN! AND TO MY SURPRISE I STUCK A 6.2IBS ON A 10IN. POWER WORM. I PROCEEDED TO THROW A BIG BLADE 2OZ WITH A GIANT TORRO TUBE FOR A TRAILER,(WHICH WAS A GOOD CHOICE)WHEN A BIG FISH HIT AS SOON AS MY LURE HIT THE WATER,IT PEELED LINE SO FAST THAT I COULDN'T TURN HER AND SHE CAME UNBUTTONED. BUT ON THE NEXT CAST I CAUGHT HER TWIN SISTER RIGHT AT THE BOAT, SHE WENT 8.4, A GOOD ENDING TO A SLOW NIGHT.
City: SACTips: IF YOUR GONNA GO NIGHT FISHING STICK IT OUT TILL THE MORNING FOR THE PRIME BIG BASS PERIOD, IT ONLY LAST A SHORT PERIOD (30MIN. TO AN HOUR)YOU CAN REALLY SCORE BIG.

Report: Launched rom Orwood on Monday aternoon around 3:00 PM and headed to the deep South Delta. Fished Rock walls with worms and drop shot...GREAT day on the Delta. Caught (9) solid ish in two+ hours rom 2 - 5 lbs. Eight came on worms including the (5) and a 3+ on drop shot. Best ive was 16lbs or better. All ish were quality. Caught a in excess o 15 ish. Work the bait to the deepest water (15+) eet. Bites were mostly pressure. Also, caught 4 catish all in the 4-6 lb range...must be the ull moon. Went out Tuesday evening with only a rog rom Orwood and had a good bite in open grass in the middle Delta. Best rog bite I've hit this year. White and Green did the trick or 5 ish in the 2-5lb range.
City: Discovery BayTips: Worm o choice is R&B Iovino T-Rigged. Green Weenie also works but not as well or me. The drop shot will always catch ish the quality o which is getting better. I've just been getting on a wall and going ishing. Find areas with deep drop os.Lucky rog bite that has been a real challenge or me lately. I stopped looking or mats and decided to ish open water and managed to get 6 bites and 5 ish in our hours o ishing. The bites came at the change o tides and beore and ater I was thinking about throwing the worm I had in my rod rack...but then, WHAM...45 minutes (the Delta Window) came and went. I don't think color matters as much as throwing the darn thing until your arm alls o. Stay Sae. TG

Report: HIGHEST Ive seen this lake during the summer! wow! Anyone know how it got so ull? Went out in my loat tube rom around 3:30-7:00 ishing mainly the cove right next to the launch ramp and the one next to it. When i was ishing near the launch ramp all the sudden i look down and there are a bunch o small 1-3inch baby bass (i think they were) They ollowed me everywhere I went but they didnt bring any o their parents along with them...so i ended up with nothing except a missed, what looked to be, 5lber. using a green 6inch senko.

Water Temp: 7-1-73
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I agree with Curtis that the night ishing has slowed a lot, which is to be expected with much cooler weather. I too elt the water had dropped some 10 degrees. Clear Lake bass love heat in the summer. Unortunately or my clients last night - the trip was miserable - the worst wind I have seen in two years. There was no getting out o it and I am an expert at that ater dark. It really is a shame we have to ight that battle so much - how can one teach people to ish under those conditions? All o us caught a ew drop-shot ish beore dark and one o them caught one on a shad Frenzy crankbait. We ished some areas in Konocti Bay and any nook and cranny we could ind. The worm bite was air but we did better on black/chartreuse Weapons jigs - believe it or not. The biggest was right at ive pounds. Two more rom 2 3/4 to 3 lbs ell or jigs. We caught 9 bass total with a ew lost ish - one a good one. Day ishing will probably be better this week until it warms up.
City: Yuba CityTips: I know you are dying to know - ONE retarded carp rolled the whole night. Is my theory holding up?!

Water Temp: 80.2-79.6
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: In at Jones Valley at 2105, lake is 43 t down, air temp was 88 in town and 75 at the ramp, ran out in the lower Pit passing my buddy Bryce and Susan, didn't even see them in the twilight, over near Squaw creek point started throwing some hula grubs and managed 17 in the irst hour and all small, threaded on an MGM #26C 4 inch zipper with a hooktail and started throwing that at 2230 over near the rockpile and caught 5 more in the next hour and the size was much better with the biggest a 2.86 spot in about a oot o water. A couple o others were twins at 1.8 and I ran out o the zippers, only had 6. I usually use them on Trinity and had never thrown them on Shasta. Kinda unny how you end up pitching dierent baits at dierent lakes. Guess i will have to break that habit. Beautiul moonlite night with Mars about 12 inches to the let o the moon, had a little breeze come up around midnight so i got o at 0030 at 59 degrees, Had 22 total which was more than I expected.
City: ReddingTips: I threw the zipper on a 1/4 oz darter head right on the bank and got the bigger ish that way.

Report: Put in at Paradise around 6 pm or a quick trip with my iancee. First time ever in that area - ramp was ull o ski boats and the like. Headed south to ish in the discovery bay area and had a rough go o it due to the wind (I ish out o a little inlatable rat with a 15 HP motor and oars...no trolling motor to help position the boat). Only got one small ish in the 3 hours we ished, but lost a medium sized ish. OCuldn't really ind the thick weed mats or to ish the rog (which is what I had come to do), so ended up throwing a senko and a buzzbait (had a couple smacks but all small ish). ANy help as to where to ind the thick weeds??
