Report: Well i been ishing these lakes or over 15 yrs and they were the best kept illegal secret lakes. Now these lakes do really FRIGGIN' suck. I Went ishing 6 hrs and caught a 1.2# smallie and almost got in trouble or ishing in the lago osos illegal pond/lake thats a protected resource.DON'T FISH THERE !!I mean inally i get one and i get kicked out o the spot i'm in. Meanwile at horseshoe and rainbow lakes I threw everything that has worked there beore and there wasn't a bite nor a ish seen rom shore same as in the past 7 months o coming here. I did see lots o carp but who cares? My advise this place is good to practice casting and until budgets change we wont have any bass ishery being built upkept or managed in the mean time ALWAYS RELEASE FISH in a place like this so we don't have to go to delta or clearlake just to catch one lets ALL do our part in restoring this ishery that once kicked major butt on all the regional lakes. or now ish sae !!

Report: Alex and me went out today or our King o the Loma III tourney. No one else showed up. We start out ishing on the east bank wiht poppers. I get a blow up, and like a retard, set the hook beore I even eel the ish. It was my irst topwater ish other than buzzbaits so I got a bit too excited. Lol. So we go on over to the dam and Alex starts drop shotting and I realize that I let my Gerber multitool on a tree back down a ways. I go back and look or it or a while but can't ind it. That sucks. So I go back over to the dam with Alex and start throwing a crankbait. I got hung up and tried to get it out using a technique Alex showed me. And once again, like a retard, I drop my rod in the water right in the rocks. A rock dented in my reel which is almost brand new. Oh well. Alex got a ew today but I'll let him tell you about it. Anyways I got one on a buzzbait in the back cove by the dam. That was it or the day.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Got out to the lake at 2:30p.m. Started throwing a popper to the right o the bridge on teh island. I had a bunch o bass, 2-5in., ollowing it. Then a bass that probably went 3lbs. came right up behind it and sat under it. I gave it a twich and it took o. I went on the bridge and saw a bunch o small bass sitting in by the tules. I pitched my senko in to them and saw one swim down to it. I saw my line twitch and I set the hook. It was just a little guy that probably only went 10inches. He was pretty at though. I went to my spot where I usually get a bite on the buzzer where I caught the 8 but didn't get any blow ups or anything. I also tried the popper with no luck. I stated going down to channel point and saw a bunch o spawning ish. They were red ears though. There were about 20-25 o them either guarding nests or spwning. I put on a Trout Magnet and caught 3 o them. They were pretty big. The biggest was 9oz. I could easily put my thumb in their mouths. I went over towards the swim lagoon and started out using the buzzer that has been doin good or me lately. I was reeling it in and looked down at my reel and beore I could look up I heard a splash and a tug at my line. I got the bass up onto shore and weighed it. 1lb.3oz. Not bad. Didn't get anything ater that. The wind started blowin pretty bad so I got out o there.

Report: My son Steve, and I launched out o River's End at irst light. Once we were out o the marina area, we turned North toward Discovery Bay. We spent the next 4-5 hours ishing the rock walls just past the pumping station.Caught 15 bass, but mostly smaller ish. Biggest was only 3 lbs. 1/2 were caught using Yum 4" watermelon/blk lake tubes. The other hal were caught using a weird (to me) setup. Used a 5" shad/blk laminated Senko, w/3/16 bullet sinker and a red bead. Majority o ish were caught on the dropo, where the water went rom 5 to 18 t.We let around 11:00 a.m. because o the lake lice. Back at the launch, the scene was worse. Small launch area, 10-12 ski boats TRYING to launch, 10 min average launch time or each one.I'll stick to ishing during the week rom now on.
      City: Manteca

Tips: We were ishing a high outgoing tide. Fish seemed to be congregated on the dropos.

      Water Temp: ?

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I ished rom 3:15 to 7:00 p.m. Once again I started throwing the buzzbait again in the spot where I got the 8. Didn't get any hits or about 30min. So I went over towards Channel Point and stopped at the little clearing beore you get to the dock. Some kid was trying to get my attention while I was reeling in the buzzer and I looked over at him to see what he wanted. When I looked back I saw a 4lb+ bass swirl on my buzzbait but it didn't get it. These ish just aren't eating these buzzers very good. So I went over to Channel Point dock and threw the buzzer parallel to the dock and I saw a 3lb. bass come out and kind o ollow it. Didn't try to get it though. So then I go over by the swim lagoon and throw the buzzer or about 10min. Ater a while I get about a 3lber to jump almost cleat out o the water to get my buzzer. It gets it but doesn't hook up. I'm going to try a smaller buzzbait next time to see i they will eat it better. So then I go over to cat tail cove and don't get hit with the buzzer. I work my way down towards the dock over there and get on to hit the buzzer. And once again no hook up. Stupid ish need to eat these buzzbaits better. I work on down to the cove kind o by the dam but don't get anything. I go over to the spot where I caught the 2lber on the buzzer on riday and start lippin a senko. I get a bite and set the hook but no ish. It elt like a pretty good sized ish. It bit my senko right in hal. Lol. So I quickly rig up another senko and pitch out to the same little clump o grass about ten times. I get a bite and set the hook, this time getting the ish. I reel it in and put it on my digital scale. It went 6 even. 6ozes that is. Hahaha. Then my mom calls me and says she's coming to pick me up to go out to dinner or ather's day. I would have stayed longer and tried to get them on the buzzer once it got a little later.
      City: Antioch

Tips: The bass are still hitting buzzbaits but not eatign them all that great. Maybe i you try down sizing they will eat it better. I was using a 1/2oz buzzer today.Next time I go out I'll try a smaller 1/4oz buzzer.
