Saw a wake boarder in the aternoon, they are starting earlier this year. The lake is Full, what a beautiul sight. A ew o the spots we caught were spawned out, but there are a bunch still to spawn. Water Temp: 63.0
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Got on the water at 1:00 pm and ished till dark. Slow pressure bites, actually no tap at all just pressure. I caught 11 ish that came on ;(3) drop shot down to 25 t., (3) carolina rig watermelon/red baby hog, and the rest on split shot 4 inch worms on 6 lb. line. The two largest a good 2.5 lb spot and a little over 3 largemouth gave that little outit a work out. This was absolutely a innese ishing day, nothing on the spook, jig, or senko's- same or the cranks and blades. I anyone knows how to catch any o those huge carp that are crusing around the willows and coves let me know. I would love to connect with a ew o those babys on 6lb line.
City: Sacramento,Tips: I would like to think the largemouth are on the beds at 63.0 but I did a lot o crusing and looking, some males and a couple in the 4-5lb range but no submarines. It should be interesting to see what this week o 80+ weather will do. Hopeully the top water will turn on.

Firshed rom 12:00 noon until around 4 pm and hooked 10 largemouth most on a rootbeer senko. Size ranged rom 12 inches to around 4 pounds (hal in the 12 inch range, the rest 2 pounds plus). Fish were holding to standing wood with thick cover (downed tree branches, weeds, etc). Saw some beddign bass but let them alone. Also appreciate the tow back to the marina as my motor gave out and limited the ishing all day (had to row to most sites!!). Spent beter part o the day between the black mountain campsite and the old sawmill primitive campsite. Good luck ishing!!
City: San FranciscoTips: Senkos ished slowly, also caught a couple small ish on a rootbeer drop shot rig. Tried a crankbait (delta craw) but nothing interested.

Berryessa Lake

Water Temp: 57-63
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Got a late start. Launched at 8am with my riend Wes. At our irst stop, Wes had our irst bass on his irst cast. 2 casts later I have one. Nice smallmouth action until 10am. Fish were all over in 6' tp 12'. Largemouth action picked up the rest o the day with more smallies ater noon. We caught over 35 ish and rolled at least that many with those manditory barbless hooks. Fished plastics in 3 to 4 inch or all the ish. The smallies ranged rom 2 to 3 lbs while the largemouth went rom 2 to 5 lbs. Water was clear all day even with the boat traic. My arms are sore today, so all I can say is that ishing must have been so good, we over ished. Lots and lots o ish. I there were any tournaments today, would probably have taken 20 to 30 pounds to get a check.
City: Santa RosaTips: Berryessa is hot hot hot! Light line is the ticket with 3" and 4" plastic. Tubes, senkos, worms, lizards. Anything should take ish now. Next week should be even better with the warmer weather.

Report: Got on the lake around 8:00 and went to my avorite spot east o the island. Fished my avorite spinner and Rebel Deep R until my wrist nearly ell o. Missed one ish on the lats (4-6 t deep). Started drop shotting and worming with a Texas rig and inally caught a 3.5 pounder in about 12-15 t water. Later in the day (6:00 PM) I went back to my Deep R and inally caught my second ish, 4Lbs. Wind came up around 1:00 and made ishing tough or everyone. Didn't see but two other people catching ish on artiicial lures. Did talk to a couple people that caught ish on minnows and one trolling with a deep diving Rapala. Tough day or me and a lot o other people. I don't think the ish are ready quite yet. Maybe next weekend. It sure was a pretty day to be out.

Report: First time at the lake but was told by Binh (story a couple down) about it. Fished rom my kickboat and only two minutes in landed a spawned out 5lb 11oz beauty lipping the tulles. From there on nothing or the 2 1/2 hours ished. Saw some people catch a couple trout but the bassers didn't have anything. Couldn't see any ish either. This good weather should help the ishing
City: San JoseTips: Flipped deep or the ish in thick stu.

Folsom Lake
-
Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I had to take my Ranger to Sunny's electric to get some new batteries. Met Rick Teitz there and ater we went to the lake or about 2 1/2 hours ishing in the aternoon. We mostly drop-shotted some Basstrix small-ish baits and caught 6 quality spots rom 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pounds. We missed about 6 more. We were targeting o-shore rock structure and caught most o the ish in 15 to 25 eet o water. Saw lots o bass on the meter, but we were probably ishing the slowest time o day. I had to get back to Yuba City, so we let about 5pm, just when the ishing would have probably picked up!! I couldn't believe it - the weather was actually kind o nice!!!!
City: Yuba CityTips: We were looking or pre and post spawn spots. Didn't have much time to look around. We did see a 6 pound plus spot crusing in shallow water - neat sight!!
-
Water Temp: 56-58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Went to just check the boat with new Steering, tune up, hot oot etc. had not planned on much ishing. Made some long runs and decided to run way up river and look or some Post spawn Spots. Much to my surprise the irst three ish were Largemouth on a rock wall way up South. One on a spittin image and two dart headed, all bucks about 1 1/2 lb. Ran back to the mouth o the South and boated seven or eight spots in two dierent coves. I was very surprised to catch qaunity over quality!!All o these ish came on a zoom lizard with a mojo about one oot leader, and two more on a dart head. O the water by 11:30
City: SacramentoTips: I do not think the ish have actully spawned except the Smallies and about 1/2 o the Spots. We were catching Egg laiden Smallies and Spots in late March early April but the weather has not been dubiuos or spawning. Still think DEEP!!

City: MercedTips: Still trying to put a solid pattern together. Today the best or us seemed to be 4 and 6" worms made by CCT Lures (McClure Crawdad and Purple Shad colors). Jerkbaits were black and silver w/ white.
