Report: Had not ished the lake or 2 year, was playing gol, took out my loat tube to see i I could still talk to the bass and I had 3 that were willing to bite. I got 2 that went about 1 1/2 lbs and 1 that went 2 1/2 to 3 lbs. I got them all on a 7" red shad burkley power worm with 1/16 oz weight, I tossed it to the weed line and pulled in into deeper water real slow and they would hit about 1-2 eet pass the weed line. I tried a popper as the sun went down and had one blow up but no takers, I saw a catish jump that was so big it look like a stergeon, it came out o the water about 3 eet it must have went 30 lbs and it was not a carp.
      City: San Jose

Tips: toss your lightly weighted worms or senkos to the weed line and pull them back to you very slow, usually they will hit just pass the weed line as the worm drops to deeper water.

Report: In at Jones Valley at 9:15am. Ran over to the entrance o Fort Creek Coves in the trees and right o Susan picked up a 13 incher on a carolina rigged 8" ribbon worm. The next ish was a dink or me on a june bug colored MGM 6". Susan caught one more in the trees, a 3.1 at spot. We then moved up the Squaw ishing the steep rock walls and got bit quite regular. Picked up a total o 16 only about 3 dinks, and I caught them. At least I beat the blonde in the back or quantity but not quality. The slow dragging carolina rig proved to be the ticket or the larger ish. Gene, try the worms I gave you the other day, they really worked or Susan. The weather was great all day, with only a slight wind out o the SW. Out at 4:00PM. There is still a ew houseboaters out but nothing like beore Labor day. Thank God or school. The ishing should start improving with the boat traic down and the cooler weather.
      City: Cottonwood

Tips: 3/8oz.ootball head jig with green w/gold lakes worked great in about 15 to 25 eet. A 8" ribbon tail worm in wine colors rigged carolina style really worked or the wie.

They are gone at last. 56 degrees and a bit nippy, lake at 70.75 and alling only 3-4 inches a day now, started throwing right rom the ramp and got 2 dinks o the irst point, moved out to the island and caught a 5 inch largemouth, moved over to the north side o Packers as 2 more rigs showed up and no more ish, at 615 I took o or the lower McCloud and rolled up on one o my avorites and got 6 o the one lat red mud point and one a 1.8, no dinks on a brown jig. They came out o 6.5-14t, picked up and ran past Ycotti and missed one then ram up to above the Moore Creek Campground or 2 more and both small, the bite came to a halt at 0900 but certainly better than my last trip out, ish are generally shallower now and the upper end o the McCloud is much dirtier than the lower end, i never ran over another wake this morning, Hot Damn things are back to normal. got out at 925, temp up to 73 and things are going to be a bit cooler or awhile, ought to perk the bite up. did get one dink on Mr. Fuller's avorite top water bait, tossed a spinner bait too with no results.
