Report: In the water at Jones Valley at 6:am started at lower end o the squaw arm and started catching ish on texas rigged worms, no two pounders.headed up to the end o the squaw and run into a war zone. there were house boats in very cove and heavy metal , rap,and a mix o other music roaring up the canyon.the blond and i seen a good rock point right in the center o the war zone, and decided to give it a try. what a surprise we started catching ish and even broke my line on a good one. we didnt stay to long between jet skis ,tubers, water skiers and no country western music to listen to we decided to hit the road out o there we moved back down the squaw arm in the timber and stated hooking ish again. we must have caught 50 ish rom the start to the end and maybe had 11lbs in a seven ish stringer. the blond beat me by one ish, we used 4 inch and six inch worms all day and the color didnt make much dierence.blues, purple, pink most came rom the bank to about 20t o water.bigger ish were tighter to the bank or on structure.the mud lines were very productive and there was lots o them with the traic on the lake.pulled o the lake and ound a suprise at the ramp. one boat trailer blocking ramp with a lat tire on the trailer with the boat on it. another with a dead battery couldnt get it loaded. another exciting sunday on PEACE FULL SHASTA LAKE, COME ON WINTER.

I tried the irst 3 because that is what I got them on Thursday but that pattern did not work this time, I inally got 1 ish on a small spinner bait that went about 1 1/2 lbs. I tossed it over the top o the weeds and it hit as soon as it passed the weed line. Yes I did try a popper also because the water was perect or it but no takers on that either.
City: San JoseTips: I normally ish the moon phases 1/4 to 3/4 ull, comming and going and do well, last Saturday night there was no moon that also can be part o it. I tried a popper as the sun went down and had one blow up but no takers, I saw a catish jump that was so big it look like a stergeon, it came out o the water about 3 eet it must have went 30 lbs and it was not a carp.

Report: In at Jones Valley at 9:15am. Ran over to the entrance o Fort Creek Coves in the trees and right o Susan picked up a 13 incher on a carolina rigged 8" ribbon worm. The next ish was a dink or me on a june bug colored MGM 6". Susan caught one more in the trees, a 3.1 at spot. We then moved up the Squaw ishing the steep rock walls and got bit quite regular. Picked up a total o 16 only about 3 dinks, and I caught them. At least I beat the blonde in the back or quantity but not quality. The slow dragging carolina rig proved to be the ticket or the larger ish. Gene, try the worms I gave you the other day, they really worked or Susan. The weather was great all day, with only a slight wind out o the SW. Out at 4:00PM. There is still a ew houseboaters out but nothing like beore Labor day. Thank God or school. The ishing should start improving with the boat traic down and the cooler weather.
City: CottonwoodTips: 3/8oz.ootball head jig with green w/gold lakes worked great in about 15 to 25 eet. A 8" ribbon tail worm in wine colors rigged carolina style really worked or the wie.

They came out o 6.5-14t, picked up and ran past Ycotti and missed one then ram up to above the Moore Creek Campground or 2 more and both small, the bite came to a halt at 0900 but certainly better than my last trip out, ish are generally shallower now and the upper end o the McCloud is much dirtier than the lower end, i never ran over another wake this morning, Hot Damn things are back to normal. got out at 925, temp up to 73 and things are going to be a bit cooler or awhile, ought to perk the bite up. did get one dink on Mr. Fuller's avorite top water bait, tossed a spinner bait too with no results.
