Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Got on the water at 5:45am, headed up the lake & ished trees with 2 hits early, so small, couldn't hook em. Fished most o day with hit here & there. Bset was 2.5 lbs, practiced catch & release. Wind was howling then stopped completely, then came back. Miserable & ustrating day, not much happening on this lake. Moon messed us up. Was in Cabo last week & windy there too, got out & spotted 20 Blue Marlin, hooked & released 3 around 140 lbs each. There were no tuna anywhere. Dorado were small. Had one illeted & shared with others at resort. As we let, weather turned nice. Fun trip with the guys anyhow! Probably, see you guys next spring....Happy Fishing

      Water Temp: 67

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I just read the previous report and thought I could shed some light on his "no bass" report. Phil - don't eel bad. I went with the tacklerep (Rick) the very next day at the same time (3 to 8 PM). I really didn't go with the idea o repeating his great catch, but to prove my theory that when big bass eed a certain day or night, they don't repeat the eed bag the next day. And I was interested in what the incoming cold ront would have. Well, to put it mildly, timing is everything!!!! In the ive hours we ished, I caught one 10" bass and Rick caught one close to 2 lbs just beore we quit. I believe I heard the expression "I can't believe this!" at least ten times rom my good ishin' buddy!! The lake had totally changed - baitish, bluegill, and bass! And so, the old adage - "you should have been here yesterday" - is alive and well!!! I believe another riend o mine was ishing the lake the next night too, and did very poorly.
      City: Yuba City

Tips: Actually when you hear the ishing was great a certain day, you might want to wait a day or two beore trying to repeat the good report. I oten like to ish a lake when I hear the ishing is slow. I will wait or a warming trend and then go. It usually has to get better. Or the ish simply are deeper than most anglers are ishing.

      Water Temp: Unknown

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched out o Orwood or a day on the Delta with Partner Grandpa Ed. Wind was howling, raining, thunder, lightening all the signs or a horrendous day. Ed's irst cast with Senko nails 4+ largie and I lock up a 2+ on ch/ch spinnerbait. The tide is high and were in 4-6 eet o water. The thunder gets a bit close and we're thinking time to head or the hills, but change our minds and run into Disco. Proceeded to catch 20+ ish up to 5lbs. Ed catches all his on Senko (watermelon/red lake) and mine come on Norman white crank, mad man craw, black/blue jig, wh/wh spinnerbait. I decided to not throw a senko to learn some new baits. The key was SLOW...SLOW presentation. Made me a bit nervous. Grandpa had his best day ever on the Delta because he was a patient man. Let Disco with easy 20+ bag and went to lunch. Got back in boat and headed to my avorite transition spot LOW TO HIGH and pulled out the Red NORMAN nailed two nice ish...Grandpa with his trusty Senko hammers another 4 pounder. I decide its time or me to use a Senko and we continue to catch ish. Last cast caught a 6+ pound emale with eggs still in her.
      City: discovery bay

Tips: Caught ish on every bait we threw. Senko hit the big.gest. I used watermelon/black lake and Black with Blue lake. NO WEEDS/NO ROCKS/NO TULLES NO FISH. Too ast no ish Throw Senko...and shake it. Feel the tick...reel down and ish will be on the other end. I you count the little guys we had 40+ ish. Best 7 were 28-30 lbs. Fished all in the South Delta.

      Water Temp: 60-64

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Just as Mark Lassagne reported below I ound the bite to be wide open yesterday. Launched at Sugar Barge under partly cloudy skies. Wind was not bad in the morning and was actually dead calm or a couple o hours. I took advantage o the conditions & put on 1/16oz brass and glass with woim and slayed them. I was ishing looded islands out o current in 2-4 t o water. Fish were very agressive and I caught a ew topwater and blade ish too, but the main pattern was shaking woims with brass and glass. At low tide I targeted deeper tule berms with very little current on them using 3/16oz weights. Caught around 35 ish total, but was surprised I could not ind any at emales up around the ull moon. I know many o the larger ish have already spawned but there should be plenty o smaller ish still ready to go. Maybe they were out on the 1st break as I pounded the shoreline stucture all day. Many 3# ish though and lots o un on the water. Hope this ront doesn't kill the bite or the weekend! I ished the Franks Tract/Mildred Area and kept the T-mtr down burning little gas. O course that's easy to do when the bite is wide open! Tight Lines,Mike Birch
      City: Danville

Tips: Find protected areas out o the current as this time o the year. Most o my ish were caught lippin rather than pitchin yesterday. Keep T-Mtr on slow/constant and electronics o to minimize noise.

Report: Launched at Ladd's at 7:00 and headed or some back slough's to get out o this lousy wind. The bite was really on. I don't know i it was the tide , the moon or what but the ish were as agressive as I've ever seen and they all wanted a watermelon/red lake senko. Lot's o shad schooling in and around the shallow weed beds and it seemed like the bass were all over them. Five times I was able to catch two ish in the same spot, bang, bang. Once, two bass almost collided going or the senko at the same time just as it hit the water. All the action lasted till 1 p.m. when things settled down to a normal pace, a ish here and there. Total or the day was 38 largemouth and one 6 lb. striper that put up the best battle o all. Largest was 4.9 lbs. with the average about 2-2.5 lbs.
      City: Stockton

Tips: The ish were shallow and I haven't seen any that looked spawned out.

Back in at 1010am airtemp at 69 and had a time getting out because o all the debris, u might want to go to Packers and avoid centimundi until the level drops about a oot or we get a good solid south wind.

Report: With ino. that the ishing was good on the 23rd and a good moon cycle, I headed up to Amador or the Big One. Started about 8pm and ished hard. Finally about midnight, swimming a 10" power worm, I boated my irst Amador 10 pounder. Unortunately, it had whiskers. I guess with a little ront coming through, a bit o cloud cover and water temp dropping, the bass said "not tonight" Fished till about 2:30am, not a bass bite all night. Caught a couple o huge crappie in 25' o water on a rocky point split shottin' 3" shad grub. Long drive home at 3am w/no bass!

Report: Launched out o Tower Park Marina at 8 with the wind blowing pretty hard. Fished Beaver Slough with no ish seen at the mouth, midway, or ar in. Other boats had same experience. Ran down to Disappointment, and ished Senkos, loating pink worms, lukes, white spinners, brush hogs, 5" tube Texas rigged, rattle traps and speed traps. Tried tight in tullies, inside and outside weedline, and on the rip-rap. Pulled one 1-1/2 pounder rom the tullies. Only a couple o other bites all day. Ran into one boat that said they had gotten "15-20, using this and that". I guess we never did ish "painully slow", like some o you have suggested.
      City: vacaville

Tips: According to one o the regulars, Hog opens up beore Beaver and Sycamore. Never had such a tough day on the Delta, but usually ish out o Big Break. Any suggestions or the East Delta appreciated.
