Report: This was my irst visit to lake Sonoma this year. Arrived around 3:00 and ished rom shore until about 8:00. Was using a Senko, green pumpkin. Caught a nice large mouth, about 5 pounds around 4:20. Didn't get to weigh it, but got a couple photos. Also caught a nice small mouth with the same worm. Learned to use the Senkos rom Larry Hemphill, boy those things work great!!! No weight, just toss it out there. I've ished this lake several times, both rom shore and boat and most o the time I catch something, but this was the biggest bass I've ever caught. What a great lake.

I was throwing watermellon and red lake Senkos hitting all the patches and docks. At 8:00 I hooked in to what I thought was the bottom o a dock and low and behold it was a pig. I ought with her or what seemed like 10 minutes. Worried I might loose her I horsed her in and just when everything looked good I blew the net and it dove under the boat. Oh %$#@ I said carully I worked her up or another grab and landed her a wopping 8 LB. I Know they get much bigger but it was the biggest large mouth I ever hooked. The rest o the day I spent up at the brige and we hooked two more three pounders and a 1.5. The ishing was very slow and the temp was cold you had to work or yor catch. We got o the water at 5:00 PM.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Had an opportunity to get out this aternoon and with the weather looking like it wanted to clear, I headed out. Wanted to try up the north so I put in at peninsula campground about 3:45pm. It was partly cloudy with a bit o a breeze. I put my boat in, tied it to the dock and beore I could park my truck, a MEAN wind and hail squal came through blowing at least 30+mph. Suddenly the lake was white with 3 oot whitecaps. With breakers coming over the stern o my boat, I pulled out and sat in the parking lot to see what happened next. As quickly as it had come, it was gone. I put back in 15 mins. later and shot directly across the lake to dead slik water. all o this and last couple o days o nasty weather didn't seem to eect the bite much. Same old story, just a little deeper. Fish seemed to be suspended in trees and around rockpiles in 10 to 20 t. Caught 7 spots to 2 1/2 lbs. and a couple o smallies (one nice) Mostly senko ish. 1 grub, 1 spinnerbait. Best bite was just beore dark.
