    Water Temp: 75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished with a friend from about 7:30 pm till 2 am. We caught about 15 fish with the biggest going a bit over 5 pounds. There was a cold and moist wind that night which may have affected the bite. I lost a quality fish of about 4 pounds. Otherwise, most fish were in the 2 pound range. Amador can be a lot tougher than this so we were pretty happy.
    City: Folsom

Tips: Spinnerbaits, senkos, jigs, worms, and frogs all worked. Fish were mostly in the top 15 feet.

    Water Temp: 76-79

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Weather: nice in the morning, hot in the afternoon, nice to cool going into the night. Fished from 7am to 2pm and 6pm to 11pm. Got only 4 dinks and 1 10 pound cat in the morning. Nothing at night. All caught using a brown senko, weightless. Also tried spinners, hula grubs, poppers, and jigs. Big black worms at night. Numerous nibbles on worms, but no takers. If you set the hook, you'd yank it from their mouths. Wait a hair longer to see if they'd swallow it, they'd spit it out. Maybe they're still in post spawn, who knows. Famous Amador weeds are making their presents known in the coves.
    City: San Jose

Tips: Bring cash. $32 for 2 to fish with a boat. Not sure about fishing tips. I didn't downsize my baits. Maybe try that?

Report: Me, my uncle, and my dad fished amador this memorial day weekend and ended the day catching 50+ crappie and bluegil combos off night crawlers and bobbers inside the reeds. I caught a rock bass in one of the coves drop shotting, it was my first rock bass and it looked really weird. and we both combined with maybe 7 LM bass, biggest being 2lbs. Wasnt too bad of a day, but it coulda been better. tight lines :)
    City: santa clara

Tips: night crawler, small hook, bobber near any of those reed beds next to shore, right in front of them, too far away and they wont bite it. great for blugill, tons of fun, fought harder than the bass.

    Water Temp: 72-72

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Full moon conditions. Fished from 6:30 pm till 2:00 am. Lake still nearly full (about 1 foot from full). Got no fish during the day and about ten fish after dark. Saw another boat land a (one) decent fish around 7 pm in Rock Creek. Senkos, jigs, worms, and spinnerbaits accounted for the fish. Nothing big - biggest went 3.0. No topwater yet. Bite really slowed down around 10:30 pm. Weeds are already showing up in shallow water.
    City: Folsom

Tips: I'd stay away from this lake until mid or late June when the summer pattern should finally kick in.

Report: Hey Don, I know what you mean. Fished the Lake 3rd week in April and got skunked!!! The trout fisherman were even bitchen. NO fish were caught the day I fished, by anyone! 8 hours. This lake has a great rep. With the money you pay- you expect to hook-up. However, as we know that is not always the case. Your deadright on the cost. Wayyyyy toooo highhhh. It is what it is. Until I here awesome consistent reports from here, or the costs dropsssss way down-Its not on my list of go to places anymore.

    Water Temp: 72

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Met a good buddy of mine there and fished from 7PM to 3AM. Caught a bunch of small ones on "Drop Shotting" small robo worms and one on a Rainbow Trout colored SENKO in some bushes up in Carson Arm. We switched to Dead Ringers at night in Muscadine and also Black Grape colors and caught only 3 more after dark. Biggest went 2.5Lbs. Lots of dinks. Weather was good, but the fishing was fair at best. It's been a while since I could say the fishing was "Good" at this lake. It's just been So-SO for the last several trips. Getting too expensive for the long trip down there.
    City: Shasta Lake, CA

Tips: If you want to just catch fish...drop shotting was pretty successful for us...but mostly small fish. Big plastics in dark colors only produced a couple of 2.5 lbers for us... Sorry I couldn't give a better report.

Report: Yes, lake Amador is a flipp'n rip off. Entry fee suck. We headed out and got skunked. Caught several dinks nothing big. Stay out from 8pm-2am then decided to get outta dodge.
    City: sacramento

    Tips: Fish Delta!!! Much Cheaper!!!

    Water Temp: 70

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: What a Ripoff! Although this lake is full of bass and trout, it's not worth $32.00! I could not believe they had the nerve to even say "it's 32.00 for 2 guys and a boat". If we hadn't already driven over an hour, we'd have told them )(*&%^ and left.
Ok now the fishing report. If you like trout and can troll in and around about 30 boats, you might be able to catch a limit. I know we caught a 4lb bow and weren't even trying. Bass fishing sucked. Only one keeper and lots of dinks. Did see several beds with single males or both the male and female close by, but not locked on enough for them to get nasty and take an offering. We saw some males guarding fry so the fish are in various stages of the spawn. I can tell you we won't go back and I'm going to recommend our club not fish there this year. Enough is enough!
    City: Roseville

Tips: Go somewhere where you don't have to sell your boat to pay the entry fee and gas $$ to get there.

Report: You Guys are right- Way to expensive to enjoy it enough to fish there- I would not recommend this lake until they drop the price- I paid $17.00 (Me Only) for just one day of fishing off the shore-
I have been "skunked" to many times at this lake to admit-

Report: I am sorry this is not a report, but I am fishing Almanor this weekend, and was wondering if anyone knows how the bass bite is. I catch and release, so I will not hurt any of the fish. I just hope that there not on beds. Any help that anyone can give me will be appreciated!

Report: Great day on the lake friday. Caught 40+ bass on flukes in the morning, and drop shotting later in the day. Size ranged from one to four pounds. Found fish in one to ten feet of water, off points and in the back of coves. Bigger fish came deeper.
    City: Rancho Cordova

Tips: Fish shallow and cover water. Saw some larger fish, but not many. The coves are loaded with crappie and bluegill. Saw only one other bass fisherman all day. Fish during the week if you can and avoid the crowds.

Report: The bass fishing really turns on at about 4:00p.m. Throw senkos right up close to the bank in rock creek and let it fall. Watch for any line movement or any ticks set the hook as early as you can though or else the bass will swallow the hook. Use dark colors. Bass were in the 1-3 lb range. The blue gill fishing has also turned on. I got a lot of .5- 1 lb gills.
    City: cv

Tips: fish low and dark senkos

Report: With the rain here again and it cooled down the trout bit was good. We went in the back of coves looking for the bass on beds, not finding any. We went draging a green pumkin 4 " lizard in 10-15 ft getting 8 1-1.5 lb bass. no swim baits, no jigs just draging slow. Fished around down trees with senkos finding small smallies. Stay with browns/greens for now.

    Water Temp: 63-68

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Lake wasn't muddy anymore, just pretty stained - just the right amount I'd guess considering the final results. Got a few bites from very small fish - they were too small to eat a jig but could eat a senko - caught maybe 4-5 of these 8 inchers. Finally got a few keepers in the 1 to 2.5 pound range. About 9:30 pm got an 8.1 then no bites for about 2 hours until I got a 5.7 followed by no bites for about 2.5 hours and then got a 4.8. A strong north wind came up that shut the fishing down but I finally got some quality fish that made up for a few slow trips in recent months. Five fish limit was a bit over 22 pounds. Most fish were in about 10 feet of water.
    City: Folsom

Tips: Cover a lot of water, fish the shallower sloping banks, and never count on the weather forecast. Always assume they're wrong and make sure you go on a night at least 48 hours from predicted rain because you may find out that the storm comes in a day early. I was wanting to go on Friday night but went on Thursday instead just to play it safe. I'm glad I did! Wind, clouds, and rain came in on Friday but Thursday night had nice thin clouds to filter the moonlight and the big fish were (finally) up.

Report: Launched at about 9:30am and started looking for beds. Spotted several nice fish on beds but none were very committed. Caught 10 fish for the day the biggest at 3.5lbs. My brother lost one at the boat that would have been around 5-6lbs. Caught most of the fish on spinnerbaits.

    Water Temp: 63

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Tried to make it out yesterday the 6th but my Father had a stroke and so I spent most of yesterday at Memorial Hospital in Los Banos. He is back at home and doing well. Got to the lake today @1:30pm with overcast skies and air temp at 56 degrees. Started back in Jackson Creek throwing everything at them.Started with Black/Blue jigs with no luck.Tried spinnerbait and jerkbaits with some followers in about 10-15ft of water(looked like females by their size).Swithched to spit shot blue ghost 6" worm only to catch one Crappie in Rock Creek. Saw a lot of males in 1 foot of water fanning beds and I am sure that the females were close by. Very muddy water made it rough along with 10-20mph winds. Spoke to a couple of fishermen fishing the opposite side of Jackson Creek with Black/Blue jigs and had landed 8 fish in a very short time between 2:30-3:30pm. I had a great time out on the water but no bass to talk about. I think that I am losing my confidence in my ability to find and catch fish. I know that there are a lot of Bass in this lake but I am just not on my game. Good luck to all who fish this lake.
    City: El Dorado Hills

Tips: Don't fish in between cold fronts unless you are willing to spend a lot of time trying to figure out a pattern.

Report: Went fishing on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday had a hard time finding fish until we hit the rocky points and banks. Must have caught 15-20 bass on saturday and 30 on sunday. Caught most of them drop shotting roboworms, few on t-rig. A lot of small fish, but the big fish are mixed in.
    City: San Jose

Tips: Fish any bank with a hard bottom. There are some fish on the edges of the weed lines. Use dark colors. Fish 3-6 ft.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Fished from 5:30am till 6:45pm- Fished Carson Creek, Rock Creek, the mouth of Mountain Spring and the mouth of Jackson Creek. The fish where holding in 4'-12' of water on the secondary points just off the main lake. The bite was on worms only early but spinnerbaits/worms as the water warmed up. My partner Burnie caught the "Big Fish" of the trip with a 5.9lb bass.
    City: Rancho Cordova

Tips: Wait till the trout fishing is done on this lake.
