    Water Temp: 80

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Had a nice trip with a riend o mine in his boat - ished rom about 6pm to 1 am. His caught the biggest - a 4 pounder on a power worm in the evening. The heat slowed down the topwater bite, but I did manage to get a 3 3/4 and one nearly 3 on Chug Bugs. Lost two nice ones. Ater dark we did catch several nice bass on worms rom 1 to 2 1/2 lbs. Big thrill o the night was a terriic strike on a crankbait ater dark - a 5 lb catish!!!! Talked to guys that were catishing on a boat - they didn't catch anything. Leave it to the bass guys!!
    City: Yuba City

Tips: As has been mentioned beore - ish were right on the bank - but mostly smaller ones. Deeper ish would not bite. Some nights it's like that.

Report: I cought a Black Bass right inside a grassy point across the lake on the right side o the dam and down a waise. I let all o my spinner baits at home that day as I had orgot them on the bench in my garage. So I put on a Git-Zit rog, and was making some cast o the point. When we got just inside o the point, I hooked this monster Bass, I must have hit him in the head with the lure because he swollowed it as soon as it hit the water. He made some jumps, and I dont think that he could make up his mind to witch side o the boat he was going to come in on, but ater a ew minutes, with the help o my son Matthew, we got him into the boat. I was not sure, but because o the size and the girth o the ish,My irst thought was that he would go 8,9, pounds. We headed back to the dock and took sime pictures o him, then I carrred him up to the store to weigh him on the digital scale. Well, he was 6 lb. 15 oz. What did I know? My biggest Bass caught to this point, and I must say that I have been ishing Bass or 35 years, was 5 lb. 4 oz. We took this bass back down to the dock and the boat and my son and I let it go. As we bid arwell to him, we said to each other that we would continue to to ish or that 10 pounder. I that day ever comes, thats the day that we will have a trophy on the wall...

    Water Temp: 76

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Yesterday's trip was a guide's dream! Took a nice ella and his 11 year old son - who really knew how to handle a rod and reel. They had ished Amador a ew time, but never had caught any bass. The boy caught the irst ish - a Warmouth bass. Don't see many o those. The worm bite was slow, so we tried topwater as the sun dipped and the shadows ormed. I had the ather and son using Storm chug bugs. In the irst 10 minutes the boy landed his irst 2 bass ever - on topwater - a 3 1/4 and then ater a big explosion and good ight, I net a 4 pounder. Incredible!! The look on his ace reminded me why I'd rather guide than ish tournaments. He caught another, about 2 lbs. I got one or two on a spook. Dad never got one - but he did catch a ew worm ish at night. Ater we started night ishing in the Mountain Spring arm, who caught the irst bass - junior, o course!! He landed a 3-7 on a 7" Berkley Power Worm. A pro in the making!!! Dad and son were using 6 and 7" worms and catching nice ish - I was using a 10' Power Worm catching smaller ish. Go Figure!! I did get a nice one on a crankbait about midnight. We wound up with 13 - no monsters, but a great trip!
    City: Yuba City

Tips: I think Amador is turning around a bit - not great ishing, but better than earlier months. Crank bite is good - I need to do more o it!! Lake hed good color, too.
