    Water Temp: 62

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Entirely different than last weekend with staging fish stacked on points in 0-15'.

Now...Very windy, Water dropped 2' since last weekend, MAJOR algae bloom ("Delta Cheese") all over the lake now (Hmmm, Frog bite coming soon!) and Fish locked on nests now.
    City: Cameron Park

Tips: Fish nests with fish on them, don't fish the empty nests. Seriously though, I didn't sight fish, but would cast onto bank and if I got bit and missed, would cast back to that spot until I hooked the fish. All 2+ lbs. Couple followers on swimbaits too.

Report: Went out today and to bite was good. Caught over 50 fish (two in boat). All fish came on drop shot in 4-15 feet. Caught a bunch off beds but no big ones 1 1/2- 3 lbs. I don't know what the other guy is doing but if you can't catch fish at this lake right now then I would stop fishing and take up another sport.

    Tips: Drop shot oxblood worms.

    Water Temp: N/A

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I went out fishing for the infamous large trout and endud up catching bass. I was using just a worm, weight, and a hook. I caught 15 bass sitting on beds. The largest being 4.5(lbs.). I was too late to make it around the corner when I heard the splash. Someone had beat me to the spot. They had just reeled in a 7(lb.) bass. I couldn't believe it. I just missed the opportunity. I did see some giant black crappie caught that were the size of some bass. Baitfish were everywhere. I only saw a few trout caught though fishing from shore. I will be coming back to this lake for sure.
    City: Rosetown

Tips: Crappie were hitting minnows, jigs, and worms. Bass were hitting worms(live), jigs, and minnows. Trout were hitting power bait and worms. Keep fishing, they are there.

Report: DL, they removed my previous post...perhaps it was too harsh. Just wanted to tell everyone that you are a liar and Amador is not producing 73 fish days for a single boat/angler. Of a dozen bass boats we talked to, only a few fish were caught and we tried everything the day after your so called 73 fish day.

Report: Could not stay away from Amador after my trip last week. Did not think it could get any better, but it did. Caught 73 bass today, all on a dropshot rig with Robo worms. Did not catch anything larger than 4 pounds but did catch more 3 and 4 pounders today. Many more bed fish this week and with the clear water it made for a fun day. Found one bank with 10 bed fish on it. Did see some large fish in the coves.
    City: Rancho Cordova

Tips: I have fished this lake for 25 years and have never caught this many fish. Only saw one other bass boat all day. Caught fish on rock and clay banks from shore to 10 feet deep. Hit this lake now before it gets busy.

Report: Had a great day at Amador Thursday. The wife and I caught 48 bass. One 5 pounder, four 3 pounder's
and the rest, one to two pounders. All fish caught on a dropshot rig with Robo worms. Fish where caught between shore and 15 feet deep using a slow retrieve. Did catch 2 fish on the beds.
    City: Rancho Cordova

Tips: The spawn has started. Most bites are still soft, so watch your line. The next month will be the best fishing of the year on this lake. Go now and have some fun.

    Water Temp: 49-51

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: On the water at 7:30- started with a Huddie with no takers or follows. Tried dartheads and brass n' glass with no takers. All fish came on jigs- brown and purple 1/2-3/4 oz. Final count was 6 fish in the 2-3 lb. range.
    City: Elk Grove

Tips: Don't wake up early- first fish came at 10:00 and the next 5 came between 12:00 and 2:00. Work jigs parallel to shore slowly. All fish came out of the front of coves near creek channels about 15-25ft deep. It did not matter whether the bank was in the sun or shade.

Report: On the water at 6:30. Threw a Rainbow Trout 9" AC Plug...no takers or follows. Dartheadead 7 fish to 3 lbs- they were right against the bank. Looking at the graph, saw big fish suspended in schools of bait- tried spooning and couldn't get bit. The water is extremely low and lots of trees in the water. In hindsight I should have thrown some wacky rigged senkos into the trees. Tried a jig with no luck.

    Water Temp: 67

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I fished Amador yesterday afternoon and for awhile at night. Beautiful weather and not so beautiful fishing. The afternoon and dusk bite was terrible - I could not catch a bass. The night started out slow - I was fishing a brush hog and a 10" black Power worm. At 9:45 PM - it happened - for about half an hour. I was fishing an off-shore hump that was almost out of the water and a bass finally jumped on the worm. That one was 2 1/2 lbs. Next cast a near 3 pounder nailed the worm. A few casts later, a 4 1/4 hit hard and found her way into the boat. What is going on? Fished the other side of the hump and nailed a 3+ pounder. Wow, the night bite is on! BZZZZZZZZZZ! Wrong answer - that was it for the night. Quality was good however. I quit about 11:30 pm.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: The lake is some 40 feet down, but water level is steady for the time being. Topwater and crank bite are dead. Some small bass chasing shad. Most bait is still quite deep. Surface temp needs to drop several degrees for fishing to heat up (I like that!). I did a lot of spooning in the late afternoon, but had no takers.

Report: The water is way down and has a lot of bare tree tops sticking up. These places looked good for bass but no luck. We boated 5 small bass and 4 trout while fishing for bass. The trout went for white spinnerbaits in the tree tops and were caught first thing in the AM. Once the sun started hitting the water, the trout bite stopped for us. Some trollers were catching trout through the day. The bass bite didn't really happen but the ones we did catch were near steep rocky walls in shady areas on small minnow imitating baits on a drop shot.
    City: Citrus Heights

Tips: beware of a snaggy bottom. I lost a lot of tackle.

Report: Water level is LOW!! Ramp is down to 1 lane. Started out around 6 at night and fished till 4 in the morning. Worked points and around some islands. A lot of the coves where invested with old tree growth. Used B. Hogs, drop shot, and jigs for slow action. Talked to the other 4 boats on the water and only 4 fish were caught between them all. Best action was right before and after sundown.

Report: Launched around 6:00 P.M. Only had two fish before the sun went down on a texas rig (no size). Bite picked up about an hour after the sun went down. Fished until midnight. Caught 10 fish after the sun went down (most in the 2 to 4 pound range). Had a big one break me off at the edge of the boat.
    City: Brentwood

Tips: Texas rig a trick worm after the sun goes down. Don't be afraid to use 20 lb. line.

Report: Lake around 24 feet from full - dropping about 2 feet per week. Fishing very slow except for one quality fish.
    City: Folsom

Tips: Watch out for snakes trying to swim out and climb into your boat! Lodge closes 6 pm most nights so arrive early! Only a couple of lights were turned on in parking lot so park in south parking lot if you want your vehicle parked in the light - not too cool. Blades. Fish during daylight.

Report: Actually, if this makes the previous poster feel better, I caught the 7-3 a few minutes before I picked up my clients. I included it as part of the total report. Did you forget about the "7" the client caught? He caught the big fish on our trip. Hope you can sleep now! Noticed that you didn't mention his fish on your stupid post. Glad you read the reports however. Have a good day.

Tips: Don't think a tip would help here!
