Water Temp: warm
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Got on the lake at 8 and fished till 1:30. Cold and foggy in the morning. Threw the buzzbait alot today; didn't really feel like worming out in all those ski boat wakes on the main body. Wound up getting 6 blowups, landing 3 small ones. Also got 3 small fish using worms on points. Not a great day, but the topwater makes it worth it!
City: San MateoTips: For numbers, go worming. For fun, throw a topwater...and remember, topwater DOES work in the afternoon if you are in the right area!!!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Caught 4 from 8pm-9pm on medium chug bug. All fish caught 10-20 feet from shore on right side of launch ramp. Have been going out for 1-2 hours 3 times a week and haven't been skunked yet using poppers and chuggers. Best has been around 3 lbs...
City: San JoseTips: Take some bug repellant...fish are blowin' up all topwater...

Water Temp: 76
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Today was tuff. Couln't get a bite all morning on anything. Fished buzzbaits, spinnerbaits, crankbaits, worms, senkos without a bump. Then Pete finally hooked up in the big shallow bay in the creek channel splitshoting a z shad. The fish was about 1 1/2 lbs then I caught one about a pound on a senko off a weed line. After not getting any more fish back there we moved to main lake points and I caught a little guy on a carlina rigged big ika. Then a couple more hours went buy and I hooked up again. This one was a little over 2 lbs and was caught on speed trap on shallow mudlines. Also tried frogs on matted weeds but couldn't get any bites. Hope you can do better.

Report: Veeery hot on the lake today. Fished from 9 till 2, couldn't last any longer!! Only one fish on the buzzbait today, but it went about 3 1/2 lbs...barely got the trailer hook, mustve been nipping at it. Also got 2 2's on dartheaded worms down deep, and 3 dinks cranking main lake mudlines on a rattle trap. Overall a fun day just too darn hot.
City: San MateoTips: Topwater around thick weeds, crank mudlines, worm deep points.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: On the water at 3 p.m. Saw Dave McKenzie leaving and he said the topwater bite was on, but I had my heart set on using my new Cameron crankin stick. Hit a couple points and tried a few different baits, but nothing doing. Headed to the far back cove and missed a frog fish right away. Then another. Then decided I needed to slow down my froggin, so threw it out there, three tiwtches and let it sit. About 20 seconds later turned to look for the seat to rest my butt real quick, and when i turned I heard it, looked back and the frog was gone and felt the tug. 2.5 lber. No more frog fish, but got 6 more on my new black and purple persuader buzzbait. Overall, pretty good day for 4 hours fishing!!!

Water Temp: Warm
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I decided to leave my boat at home, so that I could get on the water at a reasonable hour. I wasn't about to wait for the rangers to decide to open the gates! I was on the water in my float tube at about 5am. Missed one fish to a short strike at about 5:30 on a buzzbait. After that I didn't see a fish in till 9am.Then I got 2 in a row on a spinnerbait about 2 1/2lbs each. Started throwing a frog, missed one and caught one about 3 1/2lbs. Started throwing a Senko on the weed edge's, saw my line move a little and set the hook my drag started skreething. She weighed 7 1/4 lbs , snapped a couple of pictures and released her back to her home. I caught another fish around 3lbs and left due to the heat.
City: San JoseTips: Fish should be everywhere!

Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Two of us fished from 4-8 and were able to get 7 fish. They ranged in size from dinks to about 3.5 lbs. We caught 5 of them on Magic Worms and the other two were right before we left on buzzbaits. I would have traded in the other 5 to catch one more on topwater. What is up with the ranger kicking everybody off the lake before the sun even sets? Not good for us bass fisherman!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: I fished in the cove by the horse stables. There had to be 10 guys back there fishing, only 1 caught on a Nightcrawler...about 2 1/2 lbs. I tried everything, buzzbaits, plastics, spinnerbaits...nothing! Water was muddy, boy was it windy. Saw several LARGE fish jumping, soon realized they were carp! Next time I'm bringing my can of corn!
