Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: No report. Just want to commend Kris for his last post. I couldn't agree with you more! Take a camera, snap a pic, and release them. Besides, nothing pretty about a pic of a guy holding up a dead Bass as he poses in his garage!
    City: San Jose

Tips: Take nothing but photographs, leave nothing but footprints.

    Water Temp: 58-61

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Due to high wind water has a great color. Big fish 9+# being caught on plastics on leadheads. A note to the new guys out there. I,ve seen the removel of some of our Calero giants in the name of recognition by your piers or what ever( I doubt these fish were for food) in the last few trips out. The best fisherman brings a camera, snaps some shots, then PUTS THEM BACK!!! Once these fish are gone we all loose. We loose a precious resorce, loose the span and deplete our fishery.

That one really surprised me

Report: Fished back side of Calero Sunday. Wind was tough, so fished 8" lizard on carolina rig with 1 ounce weight in order to cast and keep contact with bottom. Ended the day in the 5 mile/hr cove, caught quite a few in the 6-10'depth. These all came on brown worm, witchesT, green pumkin brush hog. Total fish +20 for the day, 4 in the 2-2.5# range, most in the 1-1.5# range, with a few that wouldn't keep.

    Water Temp: ~60 degrees

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Launched at about 1pm. Managed one fish. Also lost a fish just like that Berkeley Trilene commercial where the fish takes the guy's spinnerbait, he goes to set the hook, and his line breaks! I did however, refrain from throwing all of my gear in the lake. That's what I get for not re-tying frequently. Cost me a brand new Terminator spinnerbait and a nice fish. If anyone catches this one, my email address is above :). It's been my most productive bait lately.
    City: San Jose

    Tips: Re-tie!

    Water Temp: 53-60

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: I fished from 8:00 to about 3:30, THE WIND WAS BLOWIN!! I talked to just about everyone out there and the fishing seemed to be pretty tough for them, allot of small fish today. I think the problem was that everyone wanted to fish out of the wind. I went and found points with the wind blowing directly into them, I managed to get 12 fish today, I was useing brown and june bug ISG spider grubs. I was fishing 1-25 feet deep today, I also had a rip bait rigged up and managed to get one taker that weighed 4.7 pounds. that was my big fish for the day, I know not very big for calero!! Next time.
    City: Redwood City

Tips: For ISG baits go to www.isgfishing.com tell them Jerry sent you, they like to know where thier business is coming from.!!
