Water Temp: 49
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Most of the ducks and geese are on the farm islands feeding. Went hunting this morning in my kayak but didnt fire one shot but saw thousands of ducks and geese moving between islands. If you were at sherman or almost anywhere in the delta then you should of saw ducks and geese or you should have at least heard them from a few miles away. Back to fishin, caught 3 stripers and a couple black bass. Nothing big, just small keepers.
Tips: Bouncin bluegill on the bottom for stripers. Brushhogs and zara spooks for black bass.

Report: Went into Disco for a quick check on the striper action and found two seals munching on catfish. As we looked around the different bays we did not see any bait or stripers or anything. It looked like a bomb went off and all the fish/bait were gone. Whats up with that?? do they just scatter or hide or what. I know all the fish cant be gone. We did see 6 half eaten catfish on the way in and some were still trying to swim with no tail section. Strange but all the guys I asked had no fish for the day...?????

Water Temp: 57'
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Discovery Bay this morning in search of some striper's. Only to fish for the first 7 hours without a bite. Finally we slipped into the one bay we had not tried all day and finally hooked up. The fish were stacked up in there thick. We caught them in about 25 feet of water right off the bottom. It was a long day but persistence pays off. The fish were all in the 5-7lb range with the biggest going 11lbs.
City: San JoseTips: Make sure you have a good graph because you'll be in for a long game of hide n' seek. We caught our fish on live bluegills, minnow's and spoon's. If you have graph run around until you mark fish before you drop your line's. Also, try to be as quiet as you can. When boats were running around they quit biting when they left it turned right back on!!!!

Water Temp: low 50's
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Haven't posted for awhile because my PC crashed. My cousin and I launched out of Paradise Marina yesteday at 7:30A. Am glad that we wore our thermals and had our Fish Hedz - with the wind chill - it had to be in the high 20's. Decided we were going to try to catch some stripers or salmon since the water was so cold. Fished Disappointment for about an hour but got no bites. Decided to head up to our favorite slough. Had my first bite at 10:45A and landed a 5+ lb striper. Had only one other bite -- shaker striper. Around 12:00P, we were getting ready to leave when we noticed a school of shad getting clobbered. Both of us had 2 rods rigged with 3/4 oz Rat L Traps. We made 4 casts and caught 3 keeper size stripers and lost 1. This action lasted less than a minute. As soon as we netted a stiper, we cut the line to that rod so that we could net the next striper. We had 3 5-6 lb stripers in the net with Rat L Traps hanging out of their mouths and had to be extra careful afterwards. It was the fastest action that I've ever had.
In the same slough about 2 weeks earlier, I caught my biggest salmon ever on a 3/4 oz Rat L Trap - 27 lbs.
City: DixonTips: You never know when you get lucky. We did a lot of cranking, but had only 6 bites for the day. Our Rat L Traps were 3/4 oz shad color and 3/4 oz chrome w/blue back.

Water Temp: 53
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Our club outing (Rivercity Bassmasters)launched out of B&W today. Half of us went south and the other north. After about 8 hours of fishing guys reported mixed results. Some had a hard time such as short striking on Senkos and some found areas that were concentraited with fish. Crankbaits and brush hogs seem to be the ticket. My partner and I found most of our fish around wood and weeds. Just like the summer pattern, these areas were flowing at a steady slow rate on an incoming tide. Incoming is easier to fish because you can see the weedline. Although not a large sack, we did manage to come on top with a 11-11 lb sack. Just couldn't find that kicker.
City: SacramentoTips: Fish are concentraited along living weedlines with current. Fish these areas in an incoming tide to make them easier to locate. If you are confident there is fish on a particular spot, then work it slow. The water temp is almost like winter so work it slow with some type of plastic. When you throw a crankbait, make long diagonal casts with weedline and bring it back slow with some pausing from time to time.

Report: Launched out of Holland Marina. Fished Mildred Island caught a lot of dinks with Jerkbaits. Couldn't get any quality fish tried Jigs deep, blades over points through the tulles and cranks along the rip-rap. Calm and bird blue skies all day so to be expected. Any pointers on what to do under these circumstance would be much appreciated.

Report: JiChongGi Pond, South Korea
Winter comes early here in Korea and the first snow should fall very soon in my part of the country. The bass are slowing down now and moving deeper. It was a very good Fall Turn Over. My new Rattle Trap (Bill Lewis Chm / Blu) looks 10 years old now.
Currently Drop Shotting, small jigs, and grubs have been the ticket here. The Korean ponds and lakes are much similar to the California Lakes.
For the fisherman who know me I really miss my customized Valco Bass Boat "BASSBUSTER1". I could really make a killing here with it, but I'm having much fun hiking the hill sides (need the exercize)to get around the different parts of the lakes and ponds here.
For the ones who have been wondering where I've been or how I've been doing. I'm doing ok and my family and I hope to get a five year extension.
City: Daegu, South Korea (currently)Tips: When reading these reports keep an open mind and see what works for you. I've used this web site for the last five years and I'm very thankful.

Report: Launched out of Wimpies yesterday and concentraited on dead end slough hoping to find LM feeding on bass. Tide was outgoing all day. Managed to catch only a hand full between my partner and I, but made it up by killing the large crappie. Large crappie on Ultra Light tackle is fun. Some were approaching Clear Lake size.
Hey, No Name, I fish the Delta every weekend. I usually report better catches, but that is why they call it fishing not catching. In my opinion the Delta and Clearlake is your best bet for trophy bass. And just like anywhere if you don't take the time to learn the waters then you'll never be consistent. From my experience, these reports and pics are not BS, so keep you line wet and keep on fishing.
City: SacramentoTips: Keep you line wet and quit blaming other people for your shotcomings.

Report: Fished outside of Franks Track for Stripers. Found A few good ones up to 11 lbs. on Gibbs Minnows. Going to try some top water next time if I can get my lazy @$$ on the water before sun up.

City: SacTips: Hey no name that is why 90% of the fisherman go fishing and the rest of us 10% catch fish. You have to spend A lot of time to learn seasonal patterns on the Delta to be succesful and even the best of us still get skunked!!!!

Report: Launched @ 8:00am in middle delta on outgoing tide. Fished nothing but tule islands and rock points. My partner cought 8 largemouth up to 3 lbs. on spooks and spinnerbaits. I was throwing pencil popper and luckycraft pointer (white) and cought alot of stripers but no black bass. (??). Just a great day on the water with very good weather and calm water. Off the water by 1:30, about 25 fish between us. All stripers were of keeper size, but nothing over 5 lbs.
