    Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

    Report: Launched out of Holland at 7am. Spent the morning fishing around the Middle River, and a little time in Old River. Caught about a dozen, biggest went 4.7. Best luck w/ a gold/gold dble willow white/chart blade. Had a few bite a brown/purple jig around pipes in Connection Slough. Also caught a few small ones on a watermelon-red senko. Water was surprisingly clear in Old River. Tried dropshotting several tule islands that had produced in the past, but no luck.

    Tips: Pretty good blade bite around shallow tules.
    Jigs on rocky structure.

    Report: Jim Ryan and I started out with some of the bass fisherman from Basin Bass Master at Bishop Slough in the early morning. Windy and cold, not the best day to be on the water. We fished Disapointment for most of the morning finding some small bass and stripers. The winds picked up as we were in Hocker Cut. We were cranking a orange/red/black rattle trap, black/blue flake senko worms, white/white spinner baits and some red/black also. We also used long black worms. High tide was at 9am and out going was at 10am, so work the tules at each end in the curents.

    Report: Took a friend out fishing on my bass boat because he has always wanted to go out and fish from one. Let me tell you, although it was his first time out on a bass boat this kid new the 8 mile tract pretty darn good and also knew how to fish it.Maybe it wasn't his first time out on a bass boat? He did pretty good for himself by almost landing a 20 to 25 lb. stripper on 8lb test line. He lost it because he didn't set the hook. The rest of the day he threw chartruse/red spinnerbait at the brush and caugth 3 three pound bass. Yes, he did out fish me! I'm just glad he had a great time. He taught me a few things! Tight lines everyone.

    Tips: The fishing has cooled down a bit but I suspect that things will pick up again especially if you are into strippers. Only thing that worked for us were spinnerbaits and only in chartruse/red.Tried lipless and worms but not many takers.

    Report: Stripped Bass and SALMON are biting on Grant Line canal. A 17# salmon was caught today and fisherman limited out on bass. This is not the first salmon that has been caught this season. The bite is right and will not last heavy for long.

    Report: I had a chance to sneak out this afternoon and got on the water at about 1:00. Since I was only going to be out for a few hours, I launched near Franks and hit the several known spots. At about 3:00 the wind lay down and the bite picked up.

    The north side of franks was muddy, but I still managed several bites. The most productive spots were where the end of the tules. But Gary's baits (Yamamoto) were only producing dinks. If you get bored, throw a senko inside the weed line and their is a 10" fish waiting to help you out. Blades produced better fish, but still squeekers.

    So I moved south to cleaner water and began to fish a little deeper. Before, I was fishing the blade over the top of the weed beds, when I moved south, I started to throw to 5-8' and let it sink to the bottom. In my last hour, this produced a small set of keepers up to 3.5 Lbs. I pulled 13 fish in 4 hours in a post cold front condition... I'll take that.

    Tips: Don't ask me why, but titanium spinnerbaits are out producing stainless blades. I was throwing 3/8 oz in white.

    Report: Fished Tracy bass today. Though I didn't do that well myself many of the 36 boat field did great.A lot of blade were thrown with success and cranks seem to work well also. If you are looking for a amateur circuit to run this winter Tracy bass is a good bet. I had a great time today.

    Report: fished the old river from 11:00 am to 5:00pm
    striper bite was on! caught 10 6 keeper size to
    12lbs. also caught a limit of largemouth crankin' for she stripes. all fish caught on
    rattles and timber tigers. (see photo)

    Report: Touugh bite for me, mabe the sudden drop in water temp made catching fish. but then agian hoo knows.I onely caught two fish from noon till 4:30 well good luck out their.

    Report: Had a chance to fish a few hours yesterday afternoon so I hitched up th' boat and arrived at Paradise Point in time to catch the incoming. Started along a rock bank in Disappointment and worked my way west. Threw brown jigs, craw patterned cranks, traps and worms--turns out worms was what they wanted. Picked up seven bass, ranging from mostly dinks and barely-keeper-fish up to a 3.1 pounder. Most of the fish were caught in the zone five feet off the bank (~4 foot depth), on Senkos, Iovino spadetails and Speed Worms. On the water at ~3:30 and off by 7:00. Glad I went out yesterday as it's raining and blowing pretty hard right now and there's a downed power line blocking the street.

    Report: Dude thow the biGGGGGG swim baits Bass are on them---6.60 to 7.9lbs bass plus smaller...on hit for the momma baits!----get the fish where the boats and the wake boarders are they seem to like the turbulence of the wakes....crank baits to 30+ feet on in line sinkers

    Report: fished our two day club tourney this week end. bite has been tough for me lately . saturday i did get 11.7 good for first day lead in our club including a 4.94. got 9.71 sunday includind a 4.48 but dropped to second as one member brought in an 18 + bag including a 6.25 and a 5.8. both days we caught bunches of dinks... keepers were tough to come by .. we spent most of sat and all of sunday in victoria canal. saturday 90% of fish were caught on wacky worming a yamamoto cut tail worm .. the few others on spinner baits . sunday just the opposite 90% of keepers on spinner baits and rattle traps and the rest on the worm. both days the bite was the best for keepers on the end of the tides and the first hour after the change... dinks bite all day ..broke my trolling motor cable sunday.. luckily only had an hour to go when it broke. rained on us sunday but just a little. wind came up around 10 am each day ..

    Tips: fish tight to the tules . after sun comes up fish are tight in shade pockets..chart/wht spinner baits and watermelon worms seem to wotk the best .rattle trap fish were caught on the rocks .

    Report: Fished on the 16th with my fishing club. Windy, difficult for boat control, or baits for that matter. Flip/pitch bite was nothing for me, started cranking. Areas with current and bait was the ticket. Caught a small limit, with a four pounder for the kicker. Had a big fish bite, but never turned on the bait. That fish managed to blow out a crank loaded with Gammie trebles and not one hook touched it. Amazing.

    Tips: The was a Timber Tiger DC-8 color light tan or 203, had to go down to ten pound test as it was high tide. Crank the submergent grasses, with moving water. Have fun with it!

    Report: Spent one of my vacation days on the water. Launched out of Sugar Barge at first light and fished until 4:00 PM. The weather was so calm and balmy I thought the world was going to end. Spent the first hour in franks throwing topwater and the bite was poor...Decided to move up river and headed to Sycamore Slough and for the first two hours the bite was terrible. I then came upon a point as the tide started to drop and caught a 7.6 Largemouth and 15lb striper within three casts...Both on topwater. Moved down river and fished the middle delta where the topwater bite from 11:00 - 2:00 was as consistent as I've ever seen it, unfortunately, the fish were in the 2-3lb class. Mix in two 8-10lb stripers and the day was extremely fun.

    Tips: Tide is key...when it is either at the top or bottom the bite is real good using topwater baits. Fish outside edge of weedlines at the bottom of the tide and fish inside the sunken islands at high tide...White is the ticket for me. Same bait, new day, consistent results. Stay safe and take a kid fishing. TG

    Report: Had a mixed bag day. We caught 3 limits of black bass, 2 stripers (largest - 7.5 lbs), and a 7.5 lb salmon. Largest bass was 3.5 lbs, but I loss a bass that we estimated to be 6+ lbs. Caught it in the middle of a slough on a Rat L Trap, but it jumped out of the water and did a couple of flips and threw the hook. Also caught a 5.5 lb sacramento squawfish.

    Tips: Salmon and stripers are moving up. Use a shad colored Rat L Trap. Fish near the end of sloughs.

    8.2 pounds on a fluke. Threw it into a brushpile with my pink fishing rod. Dad was proud. By the way, I love you Ryan.

    Report: no wind yesterday. we fished dawn til about 1pm .. was starting to get hot . caught several dinks and some keepers . still some frog fish out there but with water temp dropping not as many as a couple weeks ago ..caught a couple and missed a couple ..was mainly pre fishing for or club tourney coming up this weekend so don't want to give much away as i know vince reads rhis.. also with won bass saturday and the hook tourney sunday we will already have enough competition as ours is a two day ..

    Report: Went out around 0630 out of Franks and got a 6+ at first stop. We fished until 5:30, a long day and got several Flippin over 4lbs. The only wind today was moving from one place to the other. Flat all day long had to work for the fish but had a great day.

    Report: Went fishing at 1:00 PM in back yard with senko.
    Caught largest bass of life. 7.25 lbs on dads Cul m right scale. Later caught a bunch of smaller bass.

    Report: Three buddy is out just called and said they have 3 small ones 7 to 10 lbs range. Waiting for the tide change at noonish for the bite to turn back on. Sorry fell to mention that in front of the diversion dam we tire up to the floating dock and cast out to middle of the river when the tide is slack or slowest that's has been the best action last week and this week so far. This area usually fast running but the damn gates are not open so the tides are perfect. When the water are moving then we drift or slow troll.

    Report: Got out on the water about 2:00pm today, with my buddy Rich. started with rattle traps, got one shaker in the old river. Decided to switch to crankbaits on the rock banks. Got seven bass to 3.9lbs. Went back to the traps and caught two nice stripers. 6:45pm off the water.
