Water Temp: 51.9
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out to get into some stripers. Super windy saturday after the rain stopped...went out alone and did not feel safe making any long runs from B&W so I stayed in the general area. Started throwing a white bucktail jig with a fluke as a trailer...no takers or followers. Switched to a chrome/black 1oz rattle trap....nada. Picked up a red speed trap and hooked a 5-7lb salmon on the 2nd cast. Worked my way to tower park and found some stripers working bait on the surface. First cast with the rattle trap produced a 19in striper. I stayed in the area for the next 2 hours and caught 4 stripers with the largest going about 8lbs.
City: FairfieldTips: If you catch one keep working the area as I found them to travel only about 25-50 yards up and down one bank. The bank was an inside bend and they had bait pinned up near the bank.

Water Temp: 44 to 46
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Was 28 degrees when I left whiskey Slough Harbor at 7 AM in freezing fog. First water temp reading was 43.9. Didn't look real promising. decided to start fishing the outside weed line in 5-9 feet with a suspending husky jerk. Got a small fish on the first cast. he hit 8-9 seconds into the 1o second pause I started with. Then I got nothing at all the next 3 hours. Tossed a carolina rig with a 4 inch robo worm and got bit a couple times. Then the fog lifted and I ran to cleaner water and pulled out the husky jerk again and soon after i was into fish after shad bulging bass Caught 17-18 decent fish..2 to 3.f fish. The water temp didnt move upi but after the fog bured off the bite was pretty wide open. I'm sure this storm will affect things but I'm going tuesday
City: Union CityTips: rapala huskie jerk ..3 or four feet off the outside weed line...twitch twitch twitch 7-8 second pause did the trick with 1/2 oz all silver husky jerk

Water Temp: ?? no temp gaug
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Ran the custom valco bass boat, "BASS BUSTER 1", to Dad's Point to start loooking for feeding stripers. Then ran all the way past Garlic Brother's in 14 Mile Slough stopping off at spots on the way checking some favorite sports. It was a really tuogh day today. Just one striper, 5 lbs., and one bass, 2.5 lbs. Both hit a super fluke on a darter jig head. There was a seal today at the mouth of 14 mile. He definitely cuaght more fish than me. I stopped for a while just to watch him do his stuff. Wish he saved some fish for me. heh heh!!
City: Stockton, Ladd'sTips: High blue skies forced me to fish deeper today and slower. Both fish were taken in 10 to 15 feet of water off of channel points.

Water Temp: 47
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Tough cold day on the water. Launched out of Big Break and fished for stripers along the marina mouths and the Antioch bridge. Had 1 bite in a few hours but watched a seal eat probably 50 fish not far from where we were. Hope the fog lifts soon.

Water Temp: 49
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched at B&W, cruised around corner to Oxbow. Fished jigs, red, brown, chart worms to no avail. At around 2pm hit a 1 1/2 lb and a 2 1/2 lb five minuets apart on dark green 6in Senko. I trimmed about 2 inches off, so it was still fat. Was surprised how lively they were. Coming back tomorrow.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Bounced around 14 mile, dissapointment & whites sun morn tossn' rip baits. Started w a 7.5lb salmon, nice. Then off to 12 largies ranging from barely keeper to 2 1/2lbs for a 5 fish bag of about 11.5lbs. Most bites were on the pause, the longer our baits sat motionless the better.
City: TRACYTips: Find clean water, fish at a slow pace till you get bit, then slow down even more as they're schooled up pretty good this time of year.

Water Temp: Low 50's
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Sycamore, Hog, and Beaver sloughs today with my cousin. Was a tough day. Each of us had only 1 hit for the entire day tossing Rat L Traps (Musta toss that 3/4 oz trap at least 250 times during the 5 hours of fishing). My 1 hit was a 16 lb striper so it was worth it. Cousin caught a 2 lb bass.
City: DixonTips: Keep tossing them Rat L Traps.

Water Temp: Low 50's
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Met Fire Jon in Sycamore. Had my greatest days catching stripers on Rat L Traps. I caught 6 and my buddy caught 1. My biggest 4 were 21, 15, 15, and 10 lbs. Caught them in the morning at the end of the incoming tide. Didn't try for bass.
City: DixonTips: 3/4 oz shad colored traps fished with "stop n go" retrieve. That made the difference yesterday. Both of us used the same colored trap, but my buddy used a steady retrieve while I used "stop n go".

Water Temp: 50.3
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished for stripers and black bass in sycamore sl. Met a friend who did well on stripers. We could not catch any ourselves. We did manage four black bass two two lbs. They were caught on Kreature bait and pumpkin curly tail worm. Great weather all day and it was cold but not too cold. Thanks for the fishing lesson Burke!
City: San BrunoTips: Bass were on the outside weedline and when they hit they were not shy.

Water Temp: ?
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Big Break with my friend David Alarid at about 8:15. We basically just stayed in the marina and caught about 20 fish or so. We had a lot of dinks though. We caught fish on rip baits, cranks, drop shot, and spinnerbaits. The best fish was caught by David on a spinnerbait near some tules. It went 5lbs. 4oz. Our best five went 13lbs. 11ozs.
City: AntiochTips: Cranks, rip baits, and spinnerbaits in shad patterns. The crankbait fish was caught near rocks and weeds. The ripbait fish around weeds. Spinnerbait fish were caught near tules, right on the outside edge. Margarita Mugilator 4.5" Robo on drop shot caught better fish than the shad colored worms.

Water Temp: 45-49
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Basin Bassmaster from Loomis and I went out of Miner Slough. Put the boat in at Arrow Head Marina in the fog/pea soup. Denny Howard and I fished spinner baits getting a 5 lb and 3 lb striper first thing in the morning. I was using a brown/purple 3/8 oz jig with a brown/blue double tail grub. Most of our fish came in around the tules next to rocks in deep water in front. Water was very muddy and curent was fast at times. Use bright colors in that muddy water and smellie jellys scents help at times. Run your lights in the fog, or the local castople will stop you. Have fun and be careful out there.
City: rocklinTips: fish spinners and Rattle traps , speed traps and jigs.

Water Temp: high 40's-low 5
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out on Thursday and Friday. Fished Hog and Sycamore sloughs. On Thursday, we had 2 boats with 4 of us fishing. Keepers for the day were 7 stripers (4 - 9 1/2 lbs) and a 1 1/2 lb bass (also caught a 11 3/4 inch one too). My friend and his buddy caught their 2 limits of stripers in an hour. On Friday, just 2 of us fished and we caught 4 keeper stripers (6 - 7 lbs - actually caught a 5th one about 5 lbs that we released) and a 2 lb bass. We caught our limit of stripers in a hour too.
City: DixonTips: Just keep tossing a shad colored Rat L Trap. 3/4 oz Rat L Trap caught most of the stripers. Fish the channel behind the boat -- that method caught 9 of the 12 keeper stripers. All the bass caught on a 1/2 oz Rat L Trap.

Report: Hit the trusty West Delta on Tuesday afternnoon and Wednesday. Fished Tuesday afternoon with a few small fish nothing too exciting. Throw on a top water plug and bam first cast a 8lb striper. Missed one more blowup(squawfish I think). Wednesday was great! Really heavy fog until almost 10:30. Fished around Big Break and Bethel Island, probably got around 20 fish. A couple of nice ones thrown in the mix was fun. Best 5 around 15 all on Beavers.

Report: Went fishing with a friend out of Ladds , had cold but good day fishing. We had to dropshot but caught lots of fish 2 to 4 lbs, and a lot of smaller fish . No reaction bite and most the time line just felt heavy so tight lines .
City: ModestoTips: green and brown worked the best, but think they would have hit others shades to keep warm

Water Temp: 48 to 50
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: left the custom valco bass boat at home today to spend time with a buddy. Happy birthday to you know who. We hit a spot at Venice island after stopping off at Dad's pt. first waiting for the fog to clear. All we have to say is that the sea lions cuaght more fish than us. That's all folks.
City: Stockton, Ladd'sTips: Find a school with no sea lions. By the way, keep warm.
