Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Got a late start...went with a buddy out of Big Break and were on the water around noonish. It was perfect when we started, then the wind picked up to about 15 knots around 1:30...and never died. I fished Flukes and Z-shads all day, landed 10 (not much size). My partner caught 6, one on a pig-n-jig, 2 on a buzzbait, and the rest on flukes. Biggest fish of the day went only 2.5 lbs. Although we both got burnt to a crisp from the sun and wind, it was still a good time.

Report: Fished White, Dissapointment and King Island area. Did best early during high tide with blue/chart/white Vyper blades, 3 2-3# fish. Switched to Flipping as tides got low, got 3, all bucks. Saw the beginnings of some nice froggin areas, but did zilch. Spent an hour helping two cruiser lunkerheads try to get their boat out of shallow water.

Report: Went out to paradise point on Sunday. Got there about 5:15am. Right away my friend caught a 2.5pounder off the dock on a crankbait. As the day progressed we managed to get about 4 over 2 pounds, I lost about a 2.5 pounder and at least a fish over 3.5 , needless to say some profanity was involovled. My friends dad managed to catch a tagged fish, i asked him how much, he showed me two fingers, i said 20 bucks? he said no, i said 2 bucks , he said no, i said 200???? he said yep, i had to look for myself and to my surprise there it was. Overall a very good day on the delta.
City: SacramentoTips: Tips: Flippin motor oil brushhogs into the tulees, or 4 inch power worms pumpkinseed. Neutral colors seemed to work very well!

Dan caught a HAWG!! it went 10-2 on the digital. Think she was on a bed. Had eggs coming out and wasnt holding on anything. The wind had us at bay..but the fish were bitin our jigs thats for sure.

Water Temp: 64
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Started, False River at Fishermens Cut 9:00am. Bait fish 1hr. on sardines and reeled in (3 Cats, 7 to 10"). Way too windy, anchor was slipping, so we headed down Taylor Slough from False River, Drifting using crank and buzzbaites with no luck. Unable to control boat because of the wind, made my life misery. It wasn't until about 11:30am when our luck started to change. Still on Taylor, we come up to a couple of kids floating on innertubes near Anchor Marina, spinning with purple and brown powerbait 7" warms. We watched them 10min. pull out (4 largemouth). Need I say more
City: AntiochTips: Tips: Until the wind dies down and the water clears up a little bit, plus a little warmmer water, look for the fishing in Delta to remain the same. (LOUSY)

Report: I fished at Discovery Bay for stripers. My friend, my dad, and I caught 8. We caught them on anchovies. It was really windy! We only fished for a few hours. I took my little boat out and caught a 4 pound bass on a big crankbait in the riprap.

Report: Did great today for the first three hours, at high and outgoing tide. all fish were on cranks. biggest was about 3.5 When the tide hit bottom we lost the fish and could not find them again. Only picked up a couple after that. All together about 18 fish most & all but a couple were keepers.
City: Los BanosTips: Tips: Could really use some tips for a low tide.

Report: Fished holland tract area with two friends visiting from out of town. Wind was a little tough on us (I have an aluminum boat). We managed about a dozen bass up to three pounds. They were concentrated on the tules, along the bank and especially around the tule islands. One was a female still with eggs, the others appeared to be post-spawn. all were caught shallow.
City: ConcordTips: Tips: Fish in and around the tules in shallow water.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Decided to enjoy the Memorial Day Madness. It was interesting - lots of wind, skiers, cruisers and topless women. Yay. Fished the three spots that are fairly sheltered from wind. First spot, got 6, best went 3#, all on white/chartruese spinnerbaits pitched under trees, slow rolled. Second spot, zilch. Third spot, did great - five fish, all quality, biggest went 5#. All on jigs.
City: BelmontTips: Tips: A bit of wind makes a good spinnerbait bite. Watch the entry, as most of the bites are within the first 6".

Water Temp: 68
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished after work last night near Orwood. Was great being on the water with no other boats. Only saw 1 boat and 1 jet ski. AHHH how peaceful. Tide was low and incoming. Fish started off at the outside edge of the weed line then moved up to wood cover as the tide came in. Tried several baits. No luck pitching plastics (zippers, and lizards) picked up a few on a white spinner bait. At dusk I tried some topwater. Caught a few on a Skitter Pop. Tried a buzz bait with no luck. All fish were small biggest went about 1.8.

Water Temp: 60+
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Had a great day 5/16/99. Fished Rock Slough and caught 11 fish, lost 3. Largest was 7 lbs. Aside from 1 dink, the rest were all in the 2+ range. Most caught early on a spinnerbait, later fish caught on jig and pig. Fish hitting pretty hard so no problems telling a hit from bouncing off a log or rock. Caught fish all during the falling tide. Most were sitting in 4 ft of water or less. As tide went out fish moved deeper and started hiting rubber worms in about 6-8ft of water.
City: OaklandTips: Tips: Spinnerbaits early then switch to dark color jig and pig or rubber worms.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished from 3:00 PM to dark and caught over 30 fish. Up to multiple 4#ers and one that went about 5.5# on the scale. We killed 'em. It was a blast. Mostly on shallow running crankbaits. If was low tide for most of the afternoon AND WINDY! Caught some on spinnerbaits, some flippin', but mostly cranks. No topwater bite at all (where we fished) and we really tried to make the top water bite happen. We fished in the Holland Track area.
City: DanvilleTips: Tips: They are everywhere. It's hard to miss. Some fish are spawned out and some are not.

Report: My wife wanted to get out and do some fishing for Mother's Day. Dang, I'm lucky! Only got to get out for about four hours and it sure was windier than I'd like, but hey, sometimes you got to get out when you can. We caught seven. Big fish went to our son, Little Mike, 3-14. We tried a jig, speed trap, spinner bait, and even a buzz bait for a while. The only thing we caught fish on was a 6" greenie weenie.
City: SacramentoTips: Tips: Tips? I don't know if I'd listen to my tips. I just like being out on the water!

Report: Fished several areas with no luck then found an area near Mildred Island with good numbers of 2-4 pound fish. Fish were in areas with quick access to deep water. Picked up 20-30 fish within 2 hours. Best 5 went just over 15. Bigger fish were on a flat adjacent to deep water till the water dropped to under 2 feet.
City: BrentwoodTips: Tips: They seemed to have an appetite for black lizards. Keep at it! I did not get a fish till 10:30.
