Report: Stickbait and I went out for some fun fishing. Caught fish on cranks, bruch hogs and jigs. Bite was ok, but not great. Found fish on main points and on tuleberm points near deeper water. Caught about 20, biggest about 3 and also got some dinks. Oh yeah, and stickbait caught a tagged fish with TWO $50 tags in it. i think he is on his way to DFG now!

Report: Went out of holland(crowded beyond belief!)Fished the cut and all other areas.Bite was reasonably tough. No fish on topwater, brown pig and jig worked well on smaller fish.Went with watermelon brush hog in the p.m. and caught the only good fish of the day, a couple of threes. Caught a lot of small fish. Still beat anything else I could have been doing on a Sunday.

Water Temp: 68.7
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished out of Holland Tract. Started the early morning with a buzz bait with no luck. Went to flipping and got a couple of dinks (< 1 lb). Decided to try a spinner bait as the tide started to go out, knowing the fish would be moving out of the tules and down to the grass line. Worked really well. Caught over a dozen but nothing over 2lbs! Made for some fun though!

Report: Fished the NCBF Turkey Shoot on Sunday out of the Hook. (What a blast) Weather had warmed up a little and the water temp came up a couple of degrees from Saturday. Bite was not good for us on Saturday. However on Sunday it was a different story. Bite improved with the warmer water. Fish were tight to tulie clumps in 3-5 feet of water. Best 2 for me went 8.9 if I remember right. Had a 2.5 that came on a Skitter Pop in the morning and the 4 and 5 came on a Strike King Flippin Tube that was texas riged with a 1/4oz wieght.
City: BrentwoodTips: Cold weather is making the bite very unpredictable. Normal summer patters are not working as well as in most years. If your not getting bit try other patterns. If it's hot with no wind try frogs otherwise flip tulies and weed lines.

Report: Launched out of Holland Track at 5:45AM. Fishing is slow. Cranked a few small ones on a crawdad wiggle wart of rocks. Lost an ok keeper on a Chartreuse Rattle Trap in Holland Cut. My partner and myself each flipped a 3-4 pounder. Chased the high tide south in the morning toward Middle River. Flip bite is slow. Threw a Buzzbait...had one little fish swat at it with no hookup. Got off the water at 1:30PM
City: San JoseTips: Stay focused.....especially when flippin. I could barely feel the few flip fish I had today.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Went out to paradise point on Wednesday. Got there about 6:30 , fishing was slow the whole day. I managed to pull in a 3.5# for my first fish and a 2# for the second fish at about 7 or 8 in the morning. I caught another 2# and a 1.5#. Not bad considering fishing was terrible. My friend only managed a 2# the whole day. One thing i was happy about was catching a fish on a spinnerbait. Other than about 5 quality fish I've seen much better days. Oh well that is what fishing is all about. If anybody can email me about how to fish low tide in the delta id appreciate it cause I swear that is the worst time to fish for me.

Report: Fished Holland tract area last evening for a couple of hours. Landed three keepers. High tide, fish were tucked down in the weeds. Landed all three on spinner baits; had about half a dozen blow ups on frogs. I guess my reaction time last night was a little slow. Always a nice time on the water.
City: ConcordTips: Slow cranking spinner baits seemed to be the trick.

Report: This last Sunday i had my Cousin Steve Price up from Castaic. He sold his Tracker bout 3 years ago and hasn't really been out bass fishing since. So I took the oppurtunity, to sneak out with him before our family reunion on Sunday. Not having much time and a difficult tide, I took him up to Vierra's Resort and we went smallie fishing on the Sacto River. We fished from 6:00a till 11:00a, from the ramp all the way to Minor Slough. We cranked fish all the way, probably caught 20+ smallies with the biggest goig about 3.5 pounds. The bait of choice was a Rebel Crawdad. We started out with the Brown/orange, then green/orange and finally the dark brown/red. The better fish all came on that red pattern. Fish were along the rocky banks where ever there was a small indentation that broke the current. The best fish came whenever there was a change from old levee rock, to new levee rock. I had one fish come up and grab that crank about 6 feet from the boat, to my surprise, when I lifted it was a 25+ salmon, bright and silver. I hollared at Steve to get that fish, it was lazilly thrashing next to the boat, he asked, "Where's the net", I said, "Don't have one". Should have seen the look on his face. Well, we gave it a valliant effort, but were unable to land this toad. Come to find out, they are running real strong on the Sacto right now, lotts a folks catching em. Might wanna go check this out. This Delta is just amazing!

City: Union cityTips: When I said drag those blade, I meant "drag" it. Let the it hit the bottom, if feel a light strike don't set the hook, wait just a tap.

Report: Took a friend and my stepson to Walnut Grove for some smallie action. We landed 20 and lost about another 10. The usual crawdad cranks worked: orange/brown shadrap, crawdad fatrap and brown/red poes. Fish went up to 2-1/2 pounds. My friend lost one that was probably around three pounds.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Took my best friend from Fresno and my Dad out this past Monday for a little Delta trip. Very memorable day! We got on a good blade, crank bite at low tide on major moss flats. Bass had all pulled out and were balled up on the edges of the moss ripe for the picking. My buddy nails the first fish, a 2.5#, on a blade, and in the next hour, all hell breaks loose! His next bass is a 10# (his first ever!), then a couple 2-2.5#'s, and just for fun, another 3.5#. I FINALLY get into the act with a 2#, 3#, and a 6# on a Rat-L-Trap. My Dad then sticks a 2.5# and dumps a 5+#, all on a blade. Bite was over by about 10:00am, and we went to flippin' Zippers, jigs and Brush Hogs. I picked up another 2.5#, and we managed a few more small keepers. Best seven would have gone close to 30#. Great day, just wish I'd have been in a tournament!
City: SacramentoTips: Check those big moss flats with dirty water at low tide! They sure paid off for us!
