    Report: Had a couple of rough days this weekend. Fished a club tournament on Saturday and only weighed 1 fish for about 3#. Had a lot of blowups on frogs, but only caught the one. Fish were in the shade under weeds in 1.5-3 feet of water. Nothing flipping. Went back out after the weigh in a caught 3 from 1.5 to 3#s on Senkos inside the Break in the clear lane between weeds and tules. Sunday went out for a couple of hours and looked for some new current spots. Caught a 2.5# on a ReAction Gator Dog and a 3# on a Senko. Both came out of 3.5-4.5 feet of water on edge of current with deep water near by. While it was a slow weekend I still learned a few things.

    Tips: Have had best luck flipping plastics, jigs have not been producing very well for me. Be sure to add a couple of glass beads inside your frogs. Did make a difference on the number of blowups between me and my partner on Saturday.

    Report: Launched out of Hollands at 5:30am. Fished the rock bank to the right all the way down to the fork. Had 6 blow ups on a buzz, no hookups though. Got a few on a jig, few on a 7" red shad and a couple crankin a fire tiger wiggle wart. All in all a slow day only had 7 or 8 fish, largest went 2 1/2. Off the water at 11am.

    Report: Fished out of thee break and found some fish willing to take the buzzbait. ,They are only slurping them. I waited for the tide to bottom and started hitting blade fish. Most of the fish were in 3 feet but very close to 15. The current was key. All were 2-3's. I was havin so much fun wih the blades I did not need to go to the frog until 2:30 when a 7+ munched happily. Best 5 went 16.5. The fish are as sick of the bluebiird skies as we are. Fall is around the corner. Keep it slow.

    Report: Fished the south delta took my cousin for a prefish for aba out of Ladds. We caught Several fish on Buzzbaits and flippin worms.We caught 16+#'s for our best 5. We had one 6+.Most of the big fish were caught on Buzzbaits.Caught the rest on the outer edges of weeds.My cousins is from Or.so I hope He and his partner show these Locals a few things or two.Ha Ha.Good luck Mike and Jesse.

    Tips: We fished the buzzbaits slow just bearly reeling them I think that made the difference. Also we tryed SENKO'S just caught baby's.I think the fish are on a summertime pattern now.

    Report: fished the pro teen today with a great pro named Wayne and we had a fun day and caught a bunch of fish but no hawgs. He put me on fish and taught me somethings about cacching the hawgs on the delta. We got our limit, being 7.56 pounds and got 25th place. Even though the wind was blowing a 100 mph at the break his 2000 ranger handled it great. thanks NCBF for the pro/teen and thanks Wayne for a great day and hopefully we can fish together again.

    Report: Fished the teen pro am today with a great kid named William Probe from I think he said was from Forest Hill up by Auburn. As it has been for me lately the bite was tough. William did get his limit, one on a white spinner bait and one on a senko. We caught about 10 fish and four of them were big enough to take back and weigh in. They were good enough to push us up into 41st place. I heard that there were 71 boats. I would like to thank all of those involved in putting on this event and especially Andy Cuccia for inviting me this year and God willing with my health I would like to participate again next year. P.S. Liz Cuccia you can sell me raffle tickets any time. I won some great prizes.

    Tips: To be sucessful with the bite the way it has been I have to keep the trolling motor down and cover a lot of water. Good luck and for those of you who are struggling like me just bear down and fish harder. The bites will come.

    Report: launched at hooker cut about 6pm within 30 minutes had nice fish break of 12# line using black senko fished till about 9.30 caught two more keepers .next morning on the water by 5.00 am low tide fished rock points with senkos again my son boated two 3lb fish and i managed two dinks flippen a 3/8 jig and grub all in all good trip nice weather not to much wind or boat traffic

    Report: Fished WCB team out of Buckley cove. Weighed 10# limit which wasn't bad since a lot of teams struggled. Event was won by 17 pounds and it only took 11 to get a check. We caught our fish on Iovino worms, Senko's and crankbaits. Had to sort through a lot of dinks to get a few decent fish. Most of our fish came tight to isolated weeds.

    Tips: At low tide, when water stops moving, throw plastics very tight to isolated weeds and shake or move past the weeds fairly fast. Slow moving baits like the Senko didn't work during the slack tide...faster motion seems to trigger the strikes.

    Report: Fished in 14 mile and up Bear creek. A few fish to 4 lbs on shad colored Senko's. Wacky rigged on a EWG 4/0 gammie. Not really consistant. Partner caught a few crankin'

    Tips: For you guys that don't like using Senkos, there are just as many guys who will take your money at the next tournament!!! HAR HAR

    Report: DDawg and I spent most of Sunday trying to get bit on anything OTHER than a Senko! Haha! Only managed two fish - DDawg got a 5+ on a popper and I managed a small fish on a 10 inch worm. We finally put on Senko's and within a short time were able to stick a 16# limit for the day. Caught fish right threw the slack low tide flipping Senkos into weed pockets and outside weed edges. Don't know where the frog bite went for me...it was pretty good a couple weeks ago.

    Tips: Be flexible...try lots of approaches until you find the money presentation. The fish are THERE!

    Report: Launched from Buckley Cove at 5:30 A.M. I had 6 keepers for the morning. The biggest 3.8 lbs came on a brown jig with blue trailer around boat docks. I caught a couple on white spinnerbait with white trailer throwing against a rock wall with weeds next to deep water, just off the main channel. I threw a buzzbait and pop-r along the same type water and had not action. I caught a three more, throwing a 7" Senko, smoke with silver flakes, between the weed line and rock wall.

    Report: Basshopper and I launched out of Lazy M at 8AM. Caught two fish on white senkos in between rip rap and weedline. Fished Victoria and picked up three more on motor oil w/red flake and watermelon red flake senkos. Lots fo ski boats. Ran to Discovery Bay and picked up one more. Very green in Disco. (Algae bloom?) Basshopper missed three on a junebug colored senko. She didn't catch any today though. Interesting tidbit for what it's worth-one fish had a large crawdad in it's mouth. Very dark red and black in color. All in all, caught six and lost four. Mayday

    Report: Launched at holland tract at first light. the parking lot looked like it does in the middle of the winter.Caught six or seven on slow moving floating top water for the first two hours. biggest was 2.5 most were 12''. Went as far as the north side of Quimby Island flipping as the tide dropped . The bite is slow now. We need another hot spell to get the topwater bite going again.Came off the water at 11:oo to beat the mad rush at the launch ramp and there was still no traffic. Where were all the people. Hi Scotty Perrin. I saw you out there yesterday.

    Report: Had numbers days on the 23rd and the 25th. Fish on Tuesday were very active and caught about 30+ in 6hrs. Everything working for us but had to locate transition areas from shallow to deep. Had about 18#s by 9:30 using frogs, cranks and jigs. 7#er was the best fish that day. Top water fish going all day but could'nt find the normal brusers on them. Thursday about the same except there was more wind.

    Tips: I hear it is a post spawn bite but there are a ton of fish that don't seem to know this. Work on locating spawning areas then move out and fish the edges. Weeds very important right now.

    Report: Beach Cities Bass had its annual tournament launching out of Ladd's Marina. Pre-fishing Friday afternoon, I flipped a couple of dinks and a nice 3-12 with a 4-inch red shad powerworm in Turner Cut. Should have gone home then. Flipped three more Saturday, small keepers. I mean small. Weighed in 2.65. All bites came early. Totally blew it Sunday, but other club members weighed good bags on topwater and flipping brush hogs on Middle River. My girlfriend and I stayed an extra day. Caught several on poppers, flipped three more on red shad power worms and caught some on spinnerbaits (my girlfriend's first and second ever!) All on Middle River.

    Report: Well fish a lot of the time this weekend and did o.k. Caught about 20 fish in two days but the only problem is they were all small. The biggest only 2# and the smallest 7 inches. They are biting but had a tough time finding the big ones. Well theres always next weekend!! Hello Bill&Gail Martin!!
