Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: We fish the Delta frequenly and noticed the tip on using o rings on senkos. Try our method of using a short piece of shrink tubing. 3/8" will work for 5 and 6 in. senkos. just cut pieces of tubing about 1/4" long and work it up the senko from the pointed end. you can strech the senko slightly while installing. the fit is tight. run your hook into the shrink tubing about 1/8" and back out again. the hook sets perfectly perpendicular to the senko and the shrink tubing is super strong and can be used over and over again. you can catch several fish on each senko this way. its a great alternative to o rings and the worm cant slip out. works great. heading to delta sat. will report then...good luck guys.

Water Temp: 75 - 83
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Wednesday 7-25-12, my buddy and I launched from Rivers End Marina at low tide (7:00 AM) and fished Coney Island. The tide had just started moving in. However, I don’t think it was the tide making most of the water move in but it was the large pumps at Rivers End. The last time I fished there, I actually saw the water running in the wrong direction, that is, toward the pumps rather than out as would be expected for an out-going tide. We ended the day at 3:30 PM with about 38 fish. One was 3 lbs 2 oz, a few were in the 2 – 3 lb range, many were in the 1 -2 lbs range and perhaps 7 were dinks. The first fish I caught was with a Texas-rigged 6-inch Senko. Then, because I missed hooking 4 fish in a row, I dropped down to a 5-inch Senko and started to catch fish again. Now the only problem was that I was only catching one or two fish per Senko before it broke in half. The solution was to rig the 5-inch Senko wacky style using an O-ring around the Senko. Problem solved. My buddy caught most of his fish drop-shotting a 6-inch RoboWorm. We found most of the fish stacked on a ledge where the water dropped very rapidly from about 3 feet to 10 feet. This ledge can be found close into shore or as far as 150 feet out in the middle of the channel. Just look for it with your depth finder. Fish were also caught around points with weeds and moving water.
City: PinoleTips: To save Senkos, rig them wacky style with an O-ring. Make sure the O-ring fits tightly around the Senko. If not, the Senko can slip out of the ring during the cast and be lost. For the hook, I prefer one with a wire weed guard that loops over the point like a Falcon Hook. Just make sure the loop of the guard is adjusted so it doesn’t get caught behind the barb and prevent it from opening when setting the hook on a fish.

Report: This is more of a Thank you than a fishing report. I happened upon a fisherman near Disco Bay, who was generous enough to share some topwater tips with me.I was able to utilize some of his tips and catch 5 fish on a popper, which is alot for me. No big ones, but they were fun. Anyway Byron, thank you for sharing your knowledge and I hope to see you again.
good fishing!

Water Temp: 77 - 80 degrees
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Luanched the Custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's about 7:30 a.m. and was out of the water by 2:30 p.m. My original plans was to run to Disaapointment and White Sloughs today, but never made it that far. The bite was on in 14 Mile Slough between ski beach and "T" intersection that would lead to LVW Marina or Disappointment Slough. The awesome bite lasted until about 11:30 a.m. Between 7:45 and 9:00 a.m. I had 13 buzzing swimbait bites. Lost a duoble digit at the boat. I lost several so I no longer had confidence in the treble stinger hook I was using and switched back to single trailer hook. Today I had a total of 56 bites and caught/released 24 bass ranging from 2 to 7 pounds. The bite was wide open using buzzbait, spinnerbait, california swimming jig, flipped/pitched black jig w/sweet beaver trailer, punched strike king green punkin tubes, zoom super flukes double rig, mojo shot zoom trick worms, and most fun I had with was good blow ups was using my white frog as an open water topwater bait during the bottomed out low tide. I stayed in the main slough most of the time, but did catch a few of the bass in the two cuts flipping my jig along the outside weed line.
City: StocktonTips: Just about any thing and every thing worked today.

Water Temp: 74 - 78 degrees
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Luanched the Custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's today around 8:30 a.m. and was off the water by 2:00 p.m. Basically no money, no gas, so no go any where. I stayed local and started fishing the mouth of Smith Canal and fished my way back to the luanch ramp. Mojo shotting Zoom Trick worms and wacky rigging them too. The best action today was back in the cove of the sail boat club where there was a good frog bite. Still some spawning going on as I hooked 3 pounder with the wacky trick worm the 8 pound female followed the male during the fight so I picked up my drop shot rod during the fight with the male. Hooked her also so was fighting two bass at the same time with two spinning rods. I sure wish I had the video camera running today becuase it would have made an awesome video. Ended up with 12 bass today with total wieght/5 fish limit of around 18 pounds.
City: StocktonTips: Be prepared for the unexpected. I always have a primary rod(currently in use) and a cuople secondary rods ready for a quick change. Example: If tossing a buzzbait and miss the hook up, slow the presentation down by using a Zoom Super Fluke. Just about works every time for me.

Water Temp: 70+
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched from Franks at 0800 and fished on the north side of Franks at the tullies and then moved to the San Joaquin and fished the shore tullies and island tullies across from Libordi Shoals and across from Venice Island. 7" senko green straight no weight and 5" senko green wacky with weighted hook. Later in the day switched to a 5" crawdad color for the wacky rig. 25+ fish from dinks to 3+ lbs.
City: Morgan HillTips: Fished some of the same water when retracing path back to Franks with the differant color wacky rig and had good results.

Water Temp: 72-75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: At S. Victoria by 6:30. froggin for 15 minutes with no blow-ups so went to Gr/prpl flk wacky weightless Senko. Slow to get hits in 2-5 ft but did get them. DK purp liz. also worked. Tried the rest of the tackle box off & on but nothing consistant. Outgoing tide was fierce and dictated how we fished. Also hit N.Vic, Middle River, Mandeville Is & N.Midred. Same dinks with an occasional 2.5 to 3.5. Oh yea, the Wake boats were fierce also.
Tips: 4 ft tides means fast water. I should have planned for it.

Water Temp: 72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: launched late (730am) at new hope...i put water clarity as clear but it fluctuated from semi-stained to clear in different areas... worked tules, cuts, and rip-rap throwing lipless cranks and speedtrap in red craw... picked up numerous dinks and 10-11"ers over weedbed tops with an occasional 1.5er... started working senkos in blk/red flk and junebug...picked up a couple nice 2.5lbers and one 4lber. Ended the day with nine decent keepers and at least 20 barely keepers...fun day on the crankin' and senkos.
City: folsomTips: not really sure but all of the above is what worked for us...didn't try topwater but felt like there coulda been some blowups. stayed with the favs...crankin' and senkos.
btw...unless there's some kinda secret code, not sure if the prev report was just trying to be funny and hopin' it wasn't meant to be worse. would appreciate just real reports here. thanks. -

Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished the outgoing tide in Disappointment Slough. Several dinks. Two had crawfish still in their throats so I switched to a red shallow crank and a red lipless crank. More dinks. Went to Potato Slough when the tide starting coming back in. Caught several keepers up to 3 lbs – mostly on a sexy shad shallow crankbait close to rip rap and weeds.
City: StocktonTips: There are lots of boats and wakes to deal with due to holiday crowds.

Water Temp: 74 - 80 degrees
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Luanched the Custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladds around 9:00 a.m. and was off the water by 2:30 p.m. There was alot of early holiday boat traffic today and was hard to find calm water to fish. Cuaght 8 bass today using a shad pattern lipless crankbait as a search pattern and then slowed down mojo shotting same areas with zoom tricks for the better quality fish. Also enjoyed drop shotting the points along the main channel. The Delta Schooling Rig was a "No Go" with the warmer weather and increased boating traffic. Finesse was the ticket for me today.
City: StocktonTips: Mojo shot black colored worms where the boats chopped up the banks, if found clearer water then swithed to a junebug color. Earlier in the morning when water conditions were calmer noticed shad being chased towards the surface and near the banks.

Water Temp: 71.5
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched 715am at New Hope...outgoing tide but still on the high side. Started out at fav island near sycamore... picked up a couple 1 lb keepers and a bunch of barely keeper and dinks...mostly on light crankin'...so light we used ultra light spinning tackle...fun to catch. Moved to Mokulemne by b&w...managed a couple more keepers at the tules and a whole bunch more dinks and barely keepers. maybe 25-30 fish today but only 5 keepers. where'd they go? and low tide + wind + no more catch was the signal to go home.
City: folsomTips: have none...hopin' someone will offer up some tips on workin' low tide. we tried moving out further and working outside weedlines...all dinks. where'd the keepers go??

Water Temp: 72
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Launched the boat at high tide, found fish shallow near point with moving outgoing tide willing to take a crankbait but they all shook off for some reason, just about low tide started throwing a 5" senko with no takers, switched to a 9" senko wackey rigged and caught three fish and they all had fat bellies, they appeared to want a bigger bait that moved more water.

Water Temp: 73+

Water Temp: 73 - 76 degrees
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Luanched the custom valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's around 9:00 a.m. and was out by 3:00 p.m. Using just the Delta Schooling Rig I caught 1 bass and 15 stripers. I started out at Big Al's (Light19) and worked my way back when I got tired of the wind.
City: StocktonTips: Carry a first aid kit in your boat when you have those unexpected emergencies. There was no one around so I got to scream and yell all I wanted to while I was pulling a fish hook out of my finger.

Water Temp: 71 - 75 degrees
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Luanched the Custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's around 8:30 a.m.and was out by 3:00 p.m. Today cuaght 13 bass and 8 stripers using a shad pattern lipless crankbait, mojo shotting zoom trick worms, and the Delta Schooling Rig (aka alabama). The stripers were nailing the Delta Schooling Rig in the main channel. When fished the rig in shallow areas (10 ft or less) in 14 Mile Slough I got many tail shots, but no hook ups. I observed shad skipping along the surface being chased so switched to my lipless crankbait to "match the hatch". Majority of the bass were dinks, but did hook a couple near 2 pounds each. I love using my little pistol grip ugly stick becuase it makes the small bass feel larger during the fight. When the sun was "high noon" I switched to mjo shotting zoom trick worms and hooked a couple better quality bass.
City: StocktonTips: If you are using 1/4 oz jig head currently on your Delta Schooling Rig and want to fish it shallow remove the back/middle jig head and replace it with a heavy-duty straight shank fliippin hook to make the swimbait wieghtless. Add some super glue to help hold the swimbait in position. This helped to fish the Delta Schooling Rig in less than 10 feet of water.

City: SacTips: Throw the 6" Senko 4/0 hook with a nail weight for some action around the tule clumps.

Water Temp: 74
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Saturday 6-23-12, my buddy, his son and I fished the West side of Mildred’s Track to stay out of the wind. We caught about 40 fish. A couple of them were 2½ lbs and a few were 1 -2 lbs but the rest were all dinks. Almost everything that we threw worked. Most were caught in 3 – 6 ft of water drop-shotting 6-inch RoboWorms, Texas-rigged Sweet Beavers and wacky style 5-inch Senkos. We also had a ringside seat for the Patriot Jet Team practicing over the Delta. It was fun watching some of their maneuvers right over our heads.
City: PinoleTips: It is possible to find places to fish that are protected from the wind.

Water Temp: 73 - 75 degrees
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Luanched the Custom Valco "BASSBUSTER1" out of Ladd's today around 8:30 a.m. and was out by 3:00 p.m. My focus today was to just use the Delta Schooling Rig (aka alabama) and field test PLines new swimbait Kick-R Minnow. The morning started out nice point hopping the main channel until it got to windy to stay out in the channel. Then ran for cover in 14 Mile Slough. Using the Delta Schooling Rig I ran into a school of stripers in front of Wind Mill Cove, but was not able to hook my first LM Bass on it yet. Experiencing the rate of fall with 1/4 oz jig heads I diffinatly need to find some 1/8 oz or less so it can be worked in shallower water.
Later I switched to casting PLines New Kick-R Minnow swimbaits which are about to hit the market. I really like the swimming action and color patterns that were given to me to feild test for Team IF. I was having fun junk fishing for stripers and LM Bass.
City: StocktonTips: The bass were feeding on the windy side of banks today.
