Report: Great advice man! Also thanks for the tips on saturday. I just ordered some punch skirts. Can't wait for them to get here. For sure next month if you guys do have a small tournament again give me a call. Thanks for giving my boy and I some advice on Saturday. He ended up catching 2 small bass on the drop shot rig you showed us. Made his day. Thank you Sir!

Report: Had a 11 boat tourny out there. Several guys came in with a 5 limit or less(2 or more). Most fish were produced on senco's . Guys punching mats came in @ 5 fish limits also. But they reported they worked extremly hard for the fish. Saw a lot of bass guys out there too. With the national guard out the pressure is definitley on! Look for mats they are ideal but not over fished. The pressure is on! National guard will be pounding mats so if you could resist these guys got a huge purse on the line, let's leave this to the pro's and figure out something else this coming weekend. Definitly a good weekend just to get out and watch these guys duke it out. Remember guys let's keep our distance. Bub tosh's paycheck skirts with the sweet beaver or any other plastic will work great. Good luck trying to find a Mat not already beaten. I'll focus on stripers this weekend and leave the bass to the pros.
    City: Elk grove

Tips: Great time to start paying attention to the national hairdos tournament and see what these pro guys are doing. The winner gonna definitly have a trick up his sleeve. Keep your distance if you happen to be out.

    Water Temp: 72

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launch the boat at 6:15 just before sunrise at Big Break Marina. The tide was going down and we still had a good four hours until it bottomed out. We started on a weedy flat just outside the marina. I was throwing a Lunker Punker and David was using a popper. About 15 minutes into the day, David misses a good sized striper on the popper. Not more than a couple minutes later, I see a guy fly fishing about 100 ft. away from me miss an absolute monster. It looked like someone dropped a VW Bug in the water. David then catches a couple 2lb largemouth on the popper. We then move to the mouth of Little Big Break. I catch a 9lb striper on the Lunker Punker. Just as the tide starts pushing back in at around noon we move to the ship wreck and catch a half dozen schoolie stripers on Rattle Traps. They were all about 18 inches long. By about 12:30 the light breeze we had in the morning shut down, and the surface was now glassy calm. We tried fishing some of the weed beds out in the middle of Big Break, but had no luck. By 2:30 we were in the middle part of the incoming tide and it became quite hot out. We switched gears and decided to pull out the flipping rods and target largemouth bass. Punching Sweet Beavers and Paycheck Jigs, we catch 5 more bass fishing Iron House and Emerson slough
    City: San Bruno

Report: My first Delta excursion, and I was successful to some extent, so hooray. Followed around my neighbor and his buddy, just getting a feel for the waters.

Fished mainstem Moke and sloughs, top end of Franks a little bit of Whites and a bit of stuff in between. Lots of rats on spinnerbaits, probly half a dozen keepers, a 3.5 and a couple 2.5+. Keeprs pretty much evenly split between Spinnerbaits, Swim jig and Beaver.

Hopefully the bite will pick up in a couple weeks if the bass start railing the shad (saw LOTS of those today!)
    City: Lincoln

Tips: Spinnerbait for numbers and the lucky big fish. Plastics bite seems slow, and nothing on the frog.

Report: Lauched from Big Break. Gin clear, nutrient poor water with 5-8 ft. visibility made it an unusually tough day on the water. I spent more time running around in an attempt to find some good stuff, but at the end of the day, I only caught one 16"er flipping tules near deep water with current.

Report: Took the family on a two day RV trip. Stayed at Snug Harbor with a dock just 40 feet away from the RV. The morning bite was better than the evening. I caught fish on a super spook and 1/2 oz jig. When things got slow I tried using a flick shake worm and caught several shaker small mouth bass and one nice keeper small mouth. No blacks bass over 2.5 lbs., but I did miss a huge blow-up on a spook yesterday morning, wish I hooked him. Total bass over two days was 12. Lots of blue gil for the kids and a few carp for a good fight.
    City: Millbrae

Tips: First time fishing north Delta and it seemed that the fish where relating more to the trees in the water than rocks and weeds.

Report: Had a last minute ok to take my kid fishing. Off to wimpys we went close to home. Started at 2pm fishing right there in the mokolumne. Current is really moving again up there so i started looking for fish outside the weed edge in the current it diddnt take long pow a nice one on a spinner bait and a Florida Strain fat little bass with a creen colored craw in his mouth. Started flippin a new Berserk Baits Big Brawler watermelon red flake, flipping near wood and bamm! They were on it. Every fish I hooked my kid would run up and make me let her reel it in. She is 6 this is awsome she has some RB BASS in her DNA. Continuing up the mokolumne I started cranking near wood and POW the spotties came alive. Caught a few fish and my kid wanted a boat ride. So off we went out to the locke and up the Sac River. We went near the mouth of sutter slough and started cranking for little smallies and they were all little except one good one. Down to Steamboat we went and started using tubes and caught a few good ones on the switch of the tides. Moved out to the sac and watched the bankers keepin the smallies on night crawlers. Well its there right. we caught a bunch more little ones on Persuaders popping walker in a shad color. We had fun for a 5 hour trip Daughter and Dad little boat traffic and a lot of small fish. We caught northerns, floridas, spotties and smallies really cool.

Report: This was my first trip to the Delta. What a fishery started at 6:15am. My second cast produced a 3lb largemouth followed by 7 more 1 to 4 pouder's. All this in a quarter mile stretch of seven mile slough. After a lull in the action.I spotted a school of strippers pushing small fry to the surface. I quickly pick up a lucky 13 and before it hit the water it was fish on. I caught 7 strippers before the action stop. These fish were all carbon copy two pounders. What a place I will be back and back often. I never started the big motor and only traveled two miles from the dock. fished for 3 hrs then off to work.
