Water Temp: Forgot to look
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Took the float tube out on Thursday and hooked four. Biggest going about 2.5 right at nightfall. Used cranks, senkos, frogs and robo worms. Best luck on robo tossing to edge of weed lines.
Friday I launched out of Holland Marina. Fished Connection Slough and Mandy. Caught 8-10 Black Bass and three small stripers. Had a few blowups in the morning on Zara Spooks but no hookups. All Black Bass came on robo worms or senkos.
City: LivermoreTips: Happy to see stripers making their way back in. Can't wait for the weather to cool down so I don't have to listen to rap music from wakeboarders while I am fishing.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched at 2:30 pm at Russos, it was too windy I was not being able to fish at franks, headed to disappointment slough. Fished with senkos but just small fish. Put some topwater and Blue gill started to hit on it. I tried to punch some grass but only one action.
Well headed back to franks in the end of the day, got a stripped 10 lbs on a spook, lost more 2.Tips: I am going after strippers, hehehe because I am not finding big bass, lately.
Top water at sunrise and sunset seems to be getting stripers! -
Water Temp: 77
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched outta Ladds about 10:00am headed for a drop off right off a tulie island point, threw a 1oz spinnerbait and suspending crankbait on it for about 45 mins and didnt get touched. We headed into whiskey and we fished there for the better part of the day losing one frog fish so we headed further back and started throwing the 1oz spinnerbait and crankbait again right down the middle of the slough, fishing the deeper grass and got nothing. We headed to the mouth of the calavaros throwing frogs and nothing there. Headed back to the ramp and on the way in decided to fish the boat slips and my buddy nailed two 4lbs and lost another about the same size on the frog.
City: modestoTips: Fished all day out in the wind and didnt get touched, we hit the boat slips where its nice and calm and hit a couple decent fish....go figure.

Water Temp: 78-81
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Ladds about 3pm and fished the first hour along the meat wall with reaction baits; blade, cranks, frogs, had one blow up on swim frog.
Headed to Turner cut and fished berms and then moved over to the north side tullys and had several blow ups on frogs but could not stick one. Started throwing a drop shot wacky senko and picked up three dinks on inside weed line.
Moved back out to the main channel and cranked on about four pounds on a chart/shad Timber Tiger.
City: HilmarTips: Keep moving until you find fish, if you throw frogs have a follow up bait ready!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Holland at 4:00pm with my Daughter and her friend. I fished the center berm all the way down to the Bridge in Rock. I threw frogs and buzzbaits. 3 Frog fish all on the Sparrow color frog on red colored matts, not the real cheese thick matts. Biggest fish was a 4.3lb. the other 2 were 2+. Only managed one buzzbait fish also a 2+. I did not get any action on the white frog this evening. The Frog needs to be work very slow over the reddish color matts, little taps on the rod to make the frog jerk an inch at a time.
Tips: Work that frog slow, slower with taps on the rod. I do not know why they would not eat the white? I think the Buzzbait was alittle to quick for them this evening. Keep throwing the Bobby D buzzbait in the open areas over the sparse weeds and hold on.
Also watch out for the out of control women on the Jet cycles coming around corners full speed, someone is going to get hurt out there because they do not understand the Delta, or have any respect for anyone else on the water. -
Water Temp: 77

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Started out first light. The topwater bite was graet with the warm morning.Hit every point from Franks to middle river with a rattling topwater. The bite was ok. then my partner tied on a silent topwater bait and schooled me for the next hour. He landed 7 fish in the 3-4 lb range and 1 decent striper. A very good day for us.
City: KnightsenTips: The fish seem to want a silent bait over the rattling/noisy spook bait.Fish across the points. There were lots of 5-6 inch shiners in the water. The fish seem to be feeding on them.

Water Temp: 75
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Orwood at 6:00 AM and headed to Disco Bay. Had one blow up on the frog in Disco but it didn't commit. Started to head toward old river and saw a school of shaker stripers feeding on shad. Partner and I caught about 15 shakers and one black on spooks and crankbaits before deciding to look for some bigger fish. Fished old river and rock slough the rest of the day and got 7 or 8 blacks, mostly in the 1-2 pound range. Pulled up to my favorite tree and stuck a pig on the drop shot only to have her come off right at the edge of the boat. One quality bite all day and she came unglued. Whatever we threw only seemed to produce bites when it was fished very slowly.
City: BrentwoodTips: Slow down...and stay away from the first dock as you enter Cruiser Haven. Some idiot didn't like us fishing near his dock so he decided to break out his shotgun.

Water Temp: 70's
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished out of B&W, headed towards potato and white's. Caught a few on a persuader double-buzz in the morning, then went to throwing a frog. Gave up after a half-dozen fish missed or wouldn't commit!!! Started punchin',stuck three and missed one good bite. Went back towards B&W and fished around lighthouse, stuck three more on a senko around the docks.
City: EGTips: Overall the delta bite seems a little sketchy. Try punchin' when you find decent water cause the frog is gettin' thrown a little too much in this area!!!!!

Report: Took one last trip to the North Delta Sacramento River. I had a freind who had not Bass fished in a long time. We went up and started throwing crankbaits and before long we were into the Smallies. Small Crawfish cranks in orange /brown or Red worked fine. Caught fish rippin and on buzzbaits. Most fish were smaller this time around but we killed them until 1pm.
This trip I caught,Largemouth,Smallmouth,SPotted, and StripedBass as well as a crappie all on crankbaits.
City: SacramentoTips: Fish the outgoing tide were trees are sparse on the bank with current and rip rap. 8 lb test small cranks in natural color craws.
Right now the crawfish are dark redish brown on top with aqua blue on the sides and really red orange on the bottom.....match it!!!6-8ft diving.

Report: Launched outta Tower Park 6:00 am hit the wall straight across from the ramp, i started with a spook, mt brother was throwing a red with darker green back speedtrap and my buddy throwing a spinnerbait. I got nothin on the spook, my brother hit three keepers on his speedtrap and my buddy got nothin on his spinnerbait. So i tie on a red yozuri and hit some smaller fish, then right outside Tower Park i get a keeper. We move to sycamore my buddy lost one on a frog and missed another, i got nothin punchin and my brother got nothin crankin. We move to whites and get nothing. At the end of the day we move back to the wall and fish our way back to the ramp, i missed two on a buzzbait, even had a trailor hook, my buddy gets three blowups on the frog with no hookups. Water Temp: Not Sure
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Boat was kept in the shop a little bit longer than I thought but still had the urge to fish. So I blew off the dust on the float tube. Got out there later than I hoped to but was greater by two nice 17 & 18 " fish right off the bat. Caught another 10 or so before getting sea sick from all the wake boarders coming down the channel. Threw worms all day TX rigged & Carolina rigged. Margarita Mutilators 4 1/2"
City: LivermoreTips: Slow down, slow down, slow down. Get out early before the yahoos muddy the whole place up.

City: modestoTips: Today was a long hard grind covering alot of water but we are learning more areas covering this water. The bigger fish are in the heavy stuff, shoulda just went to punching but didnt want to put in the work, wasnt mentaly prepared for the patience it woulda took, just wanted to keep moving in hopes of running into some fish but it didnt happen. My plan has been to pick a bigger river and stay on it all day.Rabbi sup

Water Temp: 68=70
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Started out of B&W at 6am, windy than S!!!. Started with a spinner bait along the tules with rocks and heavy winds best fish went 3.0 + lbs. Flipped Green pumkin brush hogs did ok. Crankin speed traps ok. Stayed on the Mokelumne River until the winds layed down. Moved out onto the San Joaquin just inside of the big tule islands, flippin and crankin did ok. The tide was going out until noon then back in at 1 pm.
City: RocklinTips: Stay with the tide, look for the morning top water with the frogs.
-

Water Temp: 76-78
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched S delta 3 pm start. Fished sloughs off Old River and Middle River, south. Had tide just coming in. Had been out at least once per week latly. Today I finally had a fairly productive day. Started flippin outside edges (and pockets) of weedline with a 420 Beaver. This time for no particular reason, fished with the current. We were moving a bit too fast, but I started catching fish, so I stayed with it. Anyway, had alot of bites, getting most in the 1-3 lb range, but did get one that went a bit over 5lbs. Fish mostly picking it up on the fall or when I was working down the edge of weeds. Also, was a bit windy as well. I got quite a few VERY small ones on a popper also. Guess they were schooling, this happened when tide was almost all the way up. Back flippin beaver again for several more, off water by 8:30. Total was about 15 or so fish with best 5 going a bit over 14. Not great, but better then I had been doing. Hope this helps.
Tips: flippin outside edges of weedlines on incoming tide w 10-12 ft water at the drop. Sweet Beaver, 420 color.

Water Temp: 70's
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched at Wimpy's, headed towards Lost and snodgrass. Started throwing a persuader double buzz stuck two fish in the 2-3lb. range. Picked up kermit, started huckin' it over the cheese, and proceeded to boat 8 keepers with one missed blow up around the 5-6lb. range. Overall 15- 20 blow up's the 4 hours I fished, it was good!!! Don't be fooled by the Lil' tracker, she'll stick a toad!!!!!
City: Elk GroveTips: Frogs(get your sharpie out!)

Water Temp: 78
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Traveled from S. California and fished the Snag Proof Frog Open with Ricky-S. Got a tour of the Delta and a frog fishing lesson over the next three days. Friday pre-fish went well, about ten blow ups between us. All in the heavy junk, no open water bites. Day one, one solid keeper for me, three for Ricky. Five missed bites, and two were the kind that help you win derbys. Day two, one small keeper for me, three for Ricky, and one was a 7.5 giant. Five more missed bites, two really big ones missed. End result, 4th place for the S. Cal guys!!
City: Sun CityTips: Black and dark brown frogs. If a bass started tracking it under the mat, dead stick it with vibration. Throw back quick on missed blow ups, got several to bite again. Wait for the rod to load before you swing for better hook up ratio.
