Caught one more small one on a swimbait and called it a day.

Report: WE NEED TO START A NEW PROGRAM ON HOW MANY BLACK BASS YOU CAN KEEP. 2 PER PERSON. I PRACTICE CATCH AND RELEASE FOR SOME MEAT HUNTER TO CATCH WHAT I JUST PUT BACK.5 PER PERSON IS TO MUCH FOR ONE MAN TO EAT IN ONE SETTING.I THINK FOR NON TOUNRY ANGLERS THEY NEED A SLOT LIMIT OF 12INCH TO 15INCH YOU CAN KEEP.

Tips: ALL TOURNY RULES STAY THE SAME 5 PER PERSON BECAUSE OF ARE GREAT CATCH AND RELEASE PROGRAMS. IT IS SAD THAT ALL THE WEIGHTS ARE DOWN ON THE DELTA AND CLEAR LAKE BECAUSE OF THESE MEAT HUNTERS. IF WE DON'T DO SOMTHING THESE PLACES ARE GOING TO TURN INTO SHASTA AND ORVILLE.

Report: Took Mac out for a frog fishing experience. Went to Middle River & south Delta to avoid the wind and got hail and rain instead. We landed 10 total with several other blow ups/swirls. Had one suicidal fish that smacked the frog and launched it so I started reeling in to cast on the spot and he hit and missed it again so I dead sticked it and he hit it a third time and I set the hook on him and landed him. Never seen a bass want something so bad.
    City: Delta

Tips: Focus on tulles at higher tides and the inside edge of the outer submersed weedline at lower tides.

    Water Temp: 69

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: We got on the water at 5:45A. It was windy so we decided to hide out in Sycamore Slough. Since it was a minus tide, I decided I was going to focus on using a chartruese/white buzz bait over the top of weed beds. By 10:00A, I had boated 4 keeper size black bass (largest 2.5 lbs), 1 keeper size striper, 6 undersize black bass, and 1 undersize striper. Also, had a bunch of blowups/misses. No size, but it was definitely a lot of fun.

Got off the water at 3:30P, but my buddy and I boated 14 keeper size bass (largest 2.5 lbs), 2 keeper size stripers, over 30 undersize bass, and 3 undersize stripers. We also had a lot of misses or lost fish. A sharp contrast to several weeks ago when we would only get 2 or 3 bites for the entire outing.
    City: Dixon

Tips: Several fish were still pre-spawn. Caught fish mainly on Rat L Traps and buzz bait. Fish were definitely aggressive -- I caught a 5 inch on a buzz bait and my buddy caught a 3 inch bass on a 1/2 oz Rat L Trap. No fish on chatterbait or spinnerbait. Last week, we caught fish mainly on chatterbait. Use your entire arsenal of lures to see what is the "lure of the day".

Report: Launched outta Ladds at 5:30, me and a buddy headed out, first two stops were on water i blow by everytime i go out. Im making a point to fish water im courious about but never wanted to take the time to fish, cought two small ones on a wake bait (gonna have to step up the size of the wakebait to shake these smaller fish). From there we fished the woodward, victoria area, my buddy got his limit of smaller fish, I got three but they were the bigger fish biggist went 8,7 (new pb for me). We were throwing sencos, cranks and wake baits, big fish came off a 9x senco.
    City: modesto

Tips: We flipped the crap outta the grass beds, the bigger fish came outta grass right next to tulies.

Report: Fished with my partner Floor Guy and we had a blast. Caught fish on every reaction bait we threw at them. Fished off wall, tullies and outside weed line. The larger fish were 3+lbs. Expected the top water bite to be better. Caught 30 fish in 4 hours. Caught fish every where we went.
    City: San Ramon

Tips: Reaction bite is on and tone down the colors as the water clears. If you have a go to bait throw it.

Report: Started at first light throwing spinnerbait around woodward. Caught 2 right off the bat one about 3 and the other closer to 2 lbs. Both solid fish. Picked up a money minnow and wow do those work! Between 6 and 645 I boated seven fish and they where a 5.13, 7.03, 7.09, 5.01, and a 4.10. The other 2 where a little over 3lbs. Caught a few more fish down by victoria, but nothing that compared. I thought woodward might not have been a good choice with the last few days of boat traffic but they where. Great day. Pics will be posted soon.
    City: Tracy

Tips: 5" or 6" money minow, black pearl color (i think). Fish seemed to be in tulle cuts and Islands with heavy weeds. My partner Caught two back to back in 9ft as soon as he began reeling. Water was clear on the outside of the weeds and murky behind. Hope this holds up till next weekend.

Report: Jimmyc you posted a few days ago about Victoria canal. Were you in a blue Ranger? I to was on that incredible bite in Victoria and Middle river the same day. The topwater bite was incredible. We have been on them for 3 days. We have had over 15 a day on big stick baits.
    City: Brentwood

Tips: The top water bite is on. Finally. The top water fish seem to be post spawn and bigger than normal.
