Water Temp: 57
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Hello mr. tkboodie, where did you catch the striped bass? was it in the franks tracks hrs. of 4 to 5pm? If so which part of franks track, east, west, north or south? I've been very busy and I would to catch a bunch of those fiesty critters. I was told by friends that stripers like to hang out in flats. I really would appreciate if you can answer my question. I'm planning to go striper fishing December 15th and would love to run into a school of them.

Water Temp: 50
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Very slow day fishing, but ran into a flurry of stripers during from 4 to 5 pm. Caught 3 LMB, biggest went 2lbs. 1 steel head...YEAH thats right, a steel head in the delta, out of franks....one of the weirdest experiences of my life. Used an LC bevy shad, all day, and when this steel head hit, it was a bullet. She came charging towards the boat, and my 6:1 shimano couldnt reel the line fast enough, so the fight was not hard initially. The fish did do 3 jumps, which was a pretty sight to see. Luck for me, the fish wanted the bevy shad so bad, that all 3 hooks of the treble closed its mouth shut....so this fish was not getting away. The steel head was 15" inches long, probably about 2 lbs. Made the whole day worth while!! Ended the day with 5 stripers, 4 keepers.
City: el sobranteTips: All fish caught on suspending jerk baits. All fish hit on the pause. locate the bait fish, and you'll find the fish eating them.

Water Temp: 50-52
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished "The Hook" tournament. The fog was not bad. The bite was tough. We caught one keeper and lost a nice fish at the boat. I think the winning weight was 5 fish for 32 lbs. We slow rolled a 3/4 oz. spinnerbait for both fish. We threw Senkos, jigs, split-shot, and C-rig...Nothing.
Tips: No tips. The water is clear in the central part of the Delta near Mildred.

City: TurlockTips: Tough bite, water starting to get cold.

Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Did well out there tonight. RatLTraps all night. 9lb Strip, and seven Largies big went 5.11lb. Went home around 1am because of the sea lion. He was out there raising hell scarin` all the fish. Next time I'm going to bring me some fire crackers for his ass.
Tips: Burn the hell out of the Traps, caught a boat load of schoolies on a slack tide. Low tide= LM in around 8-18 feet. Go in a different direction from if you see that lion out there because he will mess up things for you for hours.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fog, fog and more fog. Launched out of B & W into the peasoup . Visability was about 20ft until around noon so stayed around there. Jim was right on the one fish winning out club outing, except it was 15 inches and 1.92 lbs. My partner Mike M. cought it on a small jointed craw crankbait around 7am. Had a couple of bites after that but missed them except for 1 maybe 5 inch LM on a wee-wart. bait was almost bigger then this little bugger that thought he was king of the delta. Still can't believe we won the outing as it was the only fish weighted in even.
City: VallejoTips: Never give up when the bites slow, you never know what will happen.

Went bqack toward the port of Stockton and founs an area with a lot of diving birds. Caught three just keeper stripers on a swimbait. All in all it was very slow at least in this area of the Delta.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of B&W first light, I fished all over the place, 2#er shook loose at the boat, landed several dinks, all came on drop shot (reaction innovations flirt worm, spring break), I fished a 7" watermelon senko, wacky, hoping for some bigger bites, I believe I got those bites but I dumped one before I could see it, and missed the others. Tried for stripers with spooks a lot of the day, no luck. @ the boat ramp coming in a club tournament was weighing in...ONE 13" FISH ONE IT!!! Holy crap!! Hope thins turn around soon.
Tips: could'nt tell ya

Water Temp: 62-63 Degrees
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished on Saturday, caught about 7 fish total. Big fish of 5.84 pnds came on clear sexy shad Strike King King Shad. Got him on incoming tide on weed edges. Just ripping the lure and letting it float up, about 3-4 second pauses. Caught other fish with same pattern with Strike King #5 Sexy Shad. Caught other fish flipping green pumpkin/watermelon double wide beaver on tule edges during morning outgoing. Over all tough bite.
City: FremontTips: Fish slow with cranks and deadstick plastics, if you don't get bit on plastics while dead sticking for about 5-10 seconds, pull your plastic out and move on.

Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Miners slough. There were lots of people on the water for such a cold and cloudy day. A buddy and I found some fish in very typical places. We caught 15 fish up to 10 pounds all around 5 points.
City: SacramentoTips: Rat L trap. Burn it. They are starting to really feed. Also, my traps were just getting trashed and all the chrome kept coming off after three or so fish from the hooks scratching. The fix is easy. Get some clear coat nail polish from the girlfriend or wife and put a couple coats on your chrome Rat L traps. It does not chip and I used just one trap yesterday and it still looks brand new. it was sweet. Good luck.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Tough day overall, but I did get three fish... 2.5, 2.5 and 5.5 lbs. While I tried lipless cranks, jigs, c-rig; all three fish came on a red 6" shakey head rigged worm.
City: Mountain ViewTips: I fished the shakey head worm just outside the weedlines in 10+ feet of water.

Slow day, small fish but still better then putting up freak'n christmas lights.

Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Nice evening on the Delta. Although the fishing has declined over the years, there are still small pods of good size stripers roaming around. We had some very exciting topwater action in the last 1.5 hours of fishing. Nothing like topwater in about 3 feet of water. The fish were racing around as you can see the wake from them and their dorsal fin flared as they were attacking our baits. We landed probably about 10 between 4 to 12 lbs. and we lost three nice ones that would have gone in the 10 lb range along with a number of others all on the surface. A 10 lber is a large fish these days so we were pretty happy.
Tips: Topwater before dark and rattle traps in the dark.

Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of tower park 2 days ago. we headed north toward sycamore and found 1 small school of stripers busting. Caught 5 fish there on rat l traps and flys up to 10 pounds. Found some scattered bass and picked them up on top water.
Yesterday we launched out of the pirate lair and headed to the east of franks. Picked up a 6 to 7 pound largemouth on top but that was the last top water fish. The wind was crazy so we headed to Holland and found some stripers to 9 pounds and not schooled. Not sure whats going on with that. about 15 fish for the day
City: SacramentoTips: First, the stop and go retrieve for the rat l trap has yet to work for me. Let it sink and burn it in. If they are feeding, they'll hit it. Also, the largemouth are still hitting topwater right now so take advantage. Fish the weedlines. Stripers and Largemouth seem to be holding tight to the outside near current. Still no 100 fish days. Some reports might be b.s.

Water Temp: ???
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of B&W 6:15 a.m., ran about 300yrds second cast with a A.C. minnow caught a 3#, my first with that bait. When the tide ran out I really struggled to get bites, went to places that typically do well right now, with no avail. At the end of the day I stopped at a rock bank I like to crank on and lost what appeared to be at least a 5#er right at the boat, heart breaking:( I was using a sexy shad speed trap, reeling it in as fast as I could.
Tips: I wish I could give some tips, I'm kinda stuck myself. Early morning topwater, and mid-day shad pattern cranks and swim baits are what is at least getting me some bites.

Water Temp: hi 50's
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: My buddy and I fished a lot of the delta today. Started the morning in the Hog/Sycamore slough areas and caught 3 stripers (8, 8, and 4 lbs) and a bass (2+ lbs)on 3/4 oz Rat L Traps. Went into Frank's around mid-day but no action. Caught 2 4+ lbs bass in Potato Slough. The last part of our fishing day, we fished the banks around the Mokelumne/San Joaquin junction and caught another bass and a striper. Off the water at 3:30P. 4 stripers and 4 bass for the day.
City: DixonTips: Be patient. Few bites. When retrieving, don't be quick to pick lure out of water. Partner had a striper follow lure back to boat and he snapped his wrist to get lure out of water. Striper took a lunge at lure and missed, but splashed partner with water.

Report: Launched out of Paradise Point on a beautiful Monday morning. Waited for incoming tide before launching. Worked mostly White and dissapointment slough with worms, cranks, jigs, swimbaits and spinnerbaits. all baits fished extremely slow but no bites. I know if tough this time of year but I always struggle this time of year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I was going to run to franks but wanted to try new water.
