Water Temp: ????
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of B&W 6:30 am, straight to franks, wife picked up a nice 8# striper (see photos) on a Vixen baby bass spook with a special chartruese and white feather treble hook added on. Lots of slaps and blow ups, missed alot of hook ups, I was pretty sure they all were stripers. It got slow for a few hours, went back to bass fishing for a while and hooked up with a real nice 8.9#er (see photos) on a senko on one of the last casts of the day, made for a nice day on the delta.
Tips: 7 inch watermelon senko on a 4/0 finnesse hook, 14# vanish, deep in the tules @ begining of outgoing. Striper was on a vixen, 50# braid, close to the submerged weedline (5 or 6 ft away from tules) @ start of incoming. Most of our fish came @ north part of franks. Good luck.

Water Temp: 59
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Paradise. Cloudy, no wind and a bottomed tide. If you launch there on low tide, take your time as the ramp is slick. Fished outside weedlines on 10 foot ledges with purple/blue senko for a limit of clone 1 3/4lb bass. All pressure bites. Had a jig on standby but didn't throw it.
City: MantecaTips: All bites were pressure bites so watch your line. I had no gut hooked fish, all were released unharmed. The outside weedline structure on deep(er) ledges was key.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Winpy's Thursday. Went South and fished bends and pockets. Finally went into hog looking for monsters. I threw all top water all afternoon and had several swirls and hits. Only one stick though and it felt pretty good but took me to the weeds and escaped. We fished to the back and had 0 hook ups on stripers. Finally at dusk, we were running out and saw the fish coming to the surface. I threw a vixen and a pencil popper. Both produced largemouth. When it was just about dark, I hooked up on a legit 10 pound striper. Landed him on bass gear. That was the evening. 5 fish.
City: SacramentoTips: I caught nothing Weds and Thurs got better. Hopefully it's about to be on. Top water for stripers and look for moving water in the afternoon. Good luck

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Charlie and I launched out of Big Break Marina at 7:30 am. We were in between fronts, and the weather would change back and forth from dark to clear skies. As we exited the harbor and made our way out into the main channel, I could see that the tide had just peaked and was just starting to push back out toward the San Francisco Bay. I made a short drive over to the north side of the Antioch Bridge. On my fish finder I could see stripers at 12 feet all over the bottom, but they would not touch anything we had to offer. Next we fished the south east side of Big Break. There was an opening where water was coming in from Dutch Slough. Fishing scattered weed beds we caught a few stripers and a largemouth, all smaller fish in the two pound range. While traveling in Dutch Slough towards Franks Tract, we fished a couple nice weed flats. Seeing a few larger fish bust on bait, we would fire out our top water lures, hoping it would land right on the stripers head. Charlie got smashed by one in the 10 pound range, but it came unbuttoned pretty quick. Later we made out way through Sand Mound Slough and into Franks Tract. Using Berkley hollow bodied swimbaits, we picked up a few more schoolie sized stripers, just as the tide started to make its way back in. Charlie then ties on a Mission Fish swimbait and catches two nice largemouth bass, 5.2 and 4.0 pounds. By this time it is getting dark, so we make out way back to Big Break Marina.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Another day of mediocrity. Fished against my buddy again. Launched out of B&W. The day started out good nailed a two pounder on a spinner bait followed by a one pounder on a Senko. It was all down hill after that. I caught 7 dinks on an assortment of baits, spinner bait, drop-shot, and Senko. Fished mostly the Mc River and Sycamore Slough. I also hit potato Slough and the mouth of Franks Tract. Talked to other fishermen they all stated that it was a tough bite. Luckily my buddy was equally inept. We both ended up tying with 3 pounds a piece. I hate ties!!
City: W.SacTips: ???? I think the quick change in temp slowed the bite. Hey that's a good excuse!!??? I saw some guys rippin the main channel? They only had a few fish but they had size. Next week Berryessa. Hopefully the lake has turned over by then. I'll be calling my good friend Al over at Fisherman's Werehouse for tips.

Report: Launched out of Vierra's Resort at 1pm, fished until sunset. Caught about 12 bass all on crank baits and jerkbaits. We tried senkos and drop shots, the bite was really timid. A few small mouth mixed in as well. Nothing big, but a nice day to be out.
City: Pleasant HillTips: crank the rock walls with shad and craw patterns.

Water Temp: 64
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Sporadic day. But then again, that is fall fishing sometimes. Fish are in all sorts of modes this time of year. It's kind of like what happens in early spring. Started the first half hour of the day on a great top water bite. Nailed a 6'10 on a custom wake bait and hit several more good fish on it as well a some on the spook. Then it shut down for a while. However, this is the delta and tides control the delta world. Picked up a fish here and there until the tide dropped in the afternoon. That's when we found the striper and a black bass that went 6 even. Best 5 went 18 1/2.
Tips: No big secret, but for those who are new to the delta.. flats are pretty good right now. Bass and striper love chasing food on the flats. Cuts good as well. The tule bite was slow. All middle delta. Stayed within 5 miles of B&W.
Guys, a favor to ask. Stop the bickering. I along with other delta vets go away from this site at times because we want to post helpful reports and read helpful reports. Nobody wants to read about who is a sissy or a mamas boy. Keep it to fishing please. BTW, does anyone know what tourney that was out of Russos Sat? Thanks -
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: went out on saturday toughing the elements really slow missed a nice fish on a jig to start took half my trailer caught a couple dinks but towards the last about hour and a half of the day the spinnerbait bite really picked up caught about 10 fish off of one rockwall ended up with about 20 to 25 fish biggest was 3 14 right at sundown.

Water Temp: 62-63
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: My buddy and I had a friendly competition today. We fished in separate boats and mostly different areas. I couldn't believe how clear Franks Tract was. I left that area after about 2hrs with no fish. I went up river looking for warmer water and hoping the large boats would cause the water to get some color. Caught one keeper on a persuader 1/2 oz spinner bait, a bunch of small dinks on a 5 inch clear grub, and a 6 pound salmon on a 6 inch grn pmp Senko!!
I left the main channel after catching just one keeper . I Met my buddy near our launch/check-in he had 2 keepers to my one. With 15 minutes left before check-in I nailed a 2 pounder on a drop shot and won the compitition. He was mad!!!
City: W. SacTips: ??? I fish against my buddy this friday. I plan yo call randy pringle for some tips. Due to the clear water, I probably will downsize and drop-shot a lot.

Report: I spent a couple of quality days at the delta this last weekend by myself. I really tried to focus on fishing a specific kind of water instead of just fishing what APPEARED to look good as i usually do out here.. I focused on finding a lot of moving water and finding the fastest moving currents that i could get in and it payed off well in the moring when the tide was coming in. I was throwing three baits, black buzzbait, bill lewis traps, and coochs new wadda bomb.. i really buckled down and focused on my presentation and it payed off because in the first two hours i had almost 16 pounds sat morning.. as the day progresed i stayed in the moving water and ended up close to twenty pounds for the day which is not huge.. but from what i have heard from all the boys, i would have gotten payed!!! I fished mainly the mokolme river and some parts of franks but at this point if you find the fastest current you can get in you will get a good bag!! All in all i had a fine trip to the delta well worth the 300 dollars in gas!!!
City: Citrus HeightsTips: Dont waste your time fishing area's that get pounded every week.. Be creative in your fishing style and go with your instinct.... Be more productive and more attentitive to what you are doing with your bait instead of just chucken the baits out there.. Also do your HOMEWORK. i spent a great deal of time this week studing Coochs website and Dan Mathisons website learning what the best of the best do out here.. They fish for a living for a reason and they know what the heck they are talking about!!!! Thanks again fellas..
