    Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

    Report: weird day...hit up franks at 7 am. The sun was out, but really red/orange. it looked overcast, but it was just grey smoke filling the sky (from all the fires) with a slight breeze and "overcast" skies, that could only mean TOPWATER. tied on a buzz bait, and worked inside of franks (near false river) I got a few blow ups and had a good size one on for a 20 seconds, but it was able to shake it off. Meanwhile my partner in the back was working with a series 3 strike king crank (sexy shad) and was killing them. All clones of 2 and 3lbs. I was stubborn and kept with the buzz bait, and missed out on some fun fishing. bite went dead in franks, so we headed out towards mildred island, and fished tules. just killed them on wacky robo worms. according to the boga grips, my best 5 weighed 23 lbs,...with a nice 7 lber. All of my fish were caught with really light tackle (8lb test, 721 IM6 loomis rod) and the drag on wheel never peeled off so much line before. catching a 7lber anywhere on anything is fun...but landing the fish with light tackle...made it 3x better.

    Tips: use anything that has chartreuse in it. The bluegills are spawning, and the big bass are waiting for a free meal. Drop shot and wacky ROBOWORMS were the meal ticket for me. Can't wait to get back out there!!! Have fun

    Report: Started at 9am fished till like 12pm. The wind started to pick up about 11am. Very hard to control the trolling motor. Bite was good in the morning till about 10am.. Boated only 3 fish. biggest of them was 3.5lbs. Missed alot of bites!!! I guess fish does bite even with the crazy 20mph gust.. Mainly biting on deadly ringer. caught 1 on wacky senko. bites on jig, but, couldnt boat it.

    Tips: The wind needs to stop and the system needs to kick in so that we can start fishing frogs!!

    Report: Launched at russo's ran to disco picked up 5 fish 2-3 pounds on slammers and senkos. Ran to widows got a few frog fish and a buzzbait fish, refueled with some cold drinks at rivers end. My partner got a 7# on a frog and we added 2 or 3 more frog fish, widows again senkos for a few more fish. Then we called it a day. not too bad about 19#s for best 5.

    Tips: throw topwater all day, and bring your senkos. blades and traps wouldnt be too day either, but there wasn't much wind. Shade is key.

    Report: Fished big break about and hour, tried senko, missed a couple of bites. Great nice day by the way. started at 930am. Still not getting any action. Switched to Blk Jig with a black tail grub. First cast hooked an 8 lber. Called it a day. almost ran out of gas. Does anyone know where to fill up gas near the big break marina? thanks

    Report: Jason and I fished in Frank's trac's, first bass came on a vexen, then a Senko watermelon/red, black/blue, frog and a Greenpumkin brush hog. Fisherman's cut was good. Most the bass were 2-5 lbs on the rocky banks when tide was high. Tide was slow moving out, so we cranked a speed trap out side the weed line and around the clumps to find more. The boaters came out early so we went in around noon.

    Report: took family out to join all them boaters . crazy , if you cant beat them join them , got a chance to break out rods did some fishing in potatoe slough noticed good condition at a pumping station decided to try it pulled out 15 fish I sat on it for two hrs deadsticking while the ol lady did some sun bathing all were2 to 3lb class with a 4 lb kicker fishing senko 5 inch real slow . what i thought was going to be a crazy day on the water turned out to be a good day of fishing going to put up picks . broke off a nice fish, when setting the hook make sure you dont accidently thumb the spool ..like i did

    Tips: current and try some pumping stations they seem to stir up food for cray fish which starts the food chain

    Report: Another big day of winds and stained water. Will summer conditions ever reach the Delta? I'm almost down to NO topwater on any of the rods. Fished rocks everywhere, south and east Delta. Crank, crank, crank fish about 20 for 2 anglers to 3 lbs. No weight, no size, but the fish are eating. Great fun days, but horrible for tourny weights. Need a bit of luck for kickers right now. I hope we get a week of straight heat and maybe some weeds???????????

    Tips: Crawfish patterns in crank baits, fish the rocks or struggle with topwater.

    Report: A couple friends and I grabbed our kick boats and headed out to the Middle River on the Delta. We got out on the water at first light, which is quite early now, 5am. High tide was right around 6:30 so we stayed around the rock barrier for a couple hours and waited for the tide to turn. Because of the fact that the overnight temp was quite cool the topwater bite was not too great in the morning. At 7am I finally picked up a 3/8 ounce black and red jig. While casting my jig to the rocks and dragging it out to about 8 feet, I caught around 10 fish to 3 pounds. As the water started to drop, the crank bait bite turned on. I was throwing a Lucky Craft BDS4 (baby bass), and my friends were throwing red speedtraps. Between the three of us we caught about 15 more fish to 4 pounds. At around noon the tide finally dropped enough to see a well defined weed line. Pitching a jig to the outside of the weed lines we caught another 15 fish, including a nice 7.5 pounder.

    Report: Nice bag blue daddy and guyle! You guys sure know how to get em'! Why dont you drop a few hints to all of us amateurs out here. As for a good fishing report, I know where NOT to catch em' if thats helpful. I've had God knows how many blowups on frogs from what seem to be good fish but still unable to get it goin this season. Catching the bulk of our fish on rocks with a little wind and current on them. Crankbaits seem to be working the best for me right now. I'm catching at least one 4-6 lber every outing but thats the highlight of each trip. Anybody please feel free to offer some tips for an anxious south delta angler. Thanks and tight lines!!

    Report: Put in around 6:30pm and braved the unanticipated 25mph gusts and an incoming tide. very challenging conditions -- 3/4 oz. rattle traps were all we could throw into the punishing wind and there was zero bite. refusing to surrender, we pushed on and tossed all common sense and self-preservation instincts aside and finally found some protected water in a slough just outside of big break. enter roboworm. one 5 lb. 1 oz large mouth bass later, we began our trek back to our put-in spot at antioch bridge and the real "adventure" began. massive swells, white caps, 35+ gusts and quickly fading light threw all in our 14' boat into quiet, existential reflection. in the end, our captain held his own and, after 5+ hail marys and some very dicey moments, we finally made it back to the safety of the marina. one for the books.

    Tips: respect the water and be prepared for a swift change in conditions (especially in the evening.)

    Report: Launched out of Sugar Barge around 2:30pm after my last summer school class at DVC. Fished with drop shots and senkos and caught a lot of little keepers and a few two pounders here and there. THEN around 7pm my bud taylor landed a 6lber! We thought it was way bigger when we brought it in, but we weren't complainging. Good day!

    Report: My cousin Gene and I launched out of Paradise at 5:30A. By 7:00A, he had caught 6 keeper size bass while I was still waiting for my first hit. I finally caught a bass around 7:30A - about 6 inches long - at least I got some action (the funny thing was that both of us were throwing the same lure - a 1/2 oz white chatterbait). For the day, we caught over 15 keeper size bass. Personally, I didn't catch a lot of keeper size fish, but I did catch a 6 lb bass on a chatterbait. Best 5: 16+ lbs.

    Tips: White chatterbait or spinnerbait. All fish were caught inside weedline or areas that had scattered weeds/tules.

    Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

    Report: Fished out of Hollands first light. First fish was 4.13 on a buzzbait. Switched to a popper and caught a 3.12 and 4.8. Then I started to throw a frog on the grass and caught a 4.5. Pulled in 2 3.8 on a brown jig and ended with a 7.2 on a popper Splash-it. Damn that is what I call an awesome day. Off the water by noon.

    Tips: Fish early and find areas that have shallow tules relating to deep water. Use topwater and cast it close to the tules. Hang on!!!

    Report: Wow I see why the pros hate the Senko!! They allow a novice like me to catch a decent limit.

    Ask me to quietly pitch a jig forget about it, but a Senko no problem. Fished the area between Franks and Mildred. Had my limit in an hour and a half. Caught them on jigs,Senkos, tube, and speed trap.

    After I caught my limit I went big. I tied on my biggest Senko I had, a 9 inch Salt N Pepper with tail dipped in Chartruece paint. Fifth cast rewarded me with my P.B. 7.14 LB. Last fish caught on it was a Catfish!!! Ended with a 20.15 LB limit. Hail Senko!!!!

    Report: Launched first light from Holland. Got a couple small ones on RatL-Trap, another on a senko, then nothing until noon when WHAM--10lb. 11oz. monster on RatL-Trap. Caught and released her unharmed after a couple of photos--not sure how they came out though--it was a little tricky holding that beastie and doing the self portrait thing! Got a few more after that but it was a little anti-climactic.

    Report: Launched at safe light (Ladds). Fished Mildred till about 10:00 am. Caught 14, all but one on blue/chrome Rat L Trap. Got one on a Senko. All under 3lbs. No size but lots of fun. Got off the water before the crazies came out. Did have a few bumps on the Shellcracker early.

    Report: launched at 5:30 went straight to mildred picked up 3 senko fish early(green pumkin)then headed to franks and fished the tules with senkos and cut tails picked up 15 more including my 11 year old nephew p.b. 3.5 lb(junebug) .large fish went 6+ 5 fish 18lb

    Report: Went out at about 5:30pm for my dads birthday. Fished until dark and caught a lot of good ones. We fished near Sugar Barge Marina and caught a few 1 to 2 pounders, then my brother catches three 4lb + in a row. Never seen three 4 pounders on three consecutive casts, it was quite a good day! Though my dad didnt boat any 4lb or bigger, we all caught some and did great for being out for 3 hours.

    Tips: Fish near the tules. Senko bite has died down. Also tried top water and no reaction, but dont be discouraged to still throw some.

    Report: Outgoing tide with very muddy water. Wind but not deterent. Tried Franks early, nothing. Threw frog, crank, senkos, nothing. Went outside fished the tulles, one 2lb on jig very tight. Then tried cranking along tulle line and caught one 4-12lb. Then a small 1 lb. and that was it. Used a old crank with alot of flash since water was muddy. Didn't feel fish on until felt the weight. odd bite. Too hot, muddy water, call it quits at 11am.

    Report: SPLASHED THE KLAMITH BASS BOAT AT ORWOOD 5:30 AM NO WIND FINALLY, HIT ORWOOD SLOUGH ON MY WAY TOWARDS DISCO BAY AREA, PICKED 5 ON THE RIGHT SIDE PAST THE BERM,4.0, 2 3.5,2 3.0, THEN CROSSED OVER BY THE DOCKS AND PICKED A 5.3 AND 3 2LBERS
    THEN WENT TO OLD RIVER AND CAUSE 7 MORE UP TO 5.0, GREAT DAY ON THE WATER , SINCOS NO, TOP WATER NO, ALL FISH CAUGHT ON BRUSHOGS, AND ROBO WORMS ARONS MAGIC PURPLE/BROWN . ALL FISH BITES WERE SO LITE, AT TIMES I DID NOT KNOW I HAD FISH ON? SPIINER BAITS, CRANK BAITS NATTA, NOT EVEN 1 STRIKE. YOU ALL KEP A TIGHT LINE, SEE YA*
