Water Temp: ??
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I decided to check a cuople spots north (destination was Mosher Slough) it was a bad decision today. I should have stayed south. I struggled getting my 5 fish limit today. Spinnerbaits and senkos worked for me. The custom Valco bass boat "BASSBUSTER1" is running good. I'm looking forward to chasing the frog bite this summer.
City: StocktonTips: LOL, rememeber to work southern areas first as the water warms work the northern areas to follow the prespawn / spawn patterns.

Water Temp: 60-61
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Holland Tract at 11am. Ended the day at 7:30 pm. With best five going 20lbs biggest fish was 8.13 on a sweet beaver near tullys and wood. Most fish caught on speed traps near current. One fish on a Carolina rig and 8" lizard. End of the day had a top water bite. One on a buzz, 4 on a popper, and a 11 on a frog. That is 11 inches. Very windy all day.
City: San BrunoTips: If you are fishing structure if slow. give them time to hit. If you are fishing current fish faster with crankbaits.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Hello,
Catch More Bass!
I prefer to fish the outgoing tide starting first from the inside sloughs and following the tide out to Franks Tract. I have had more success on the outgoing, but also have had some good results on the incoming tide. Best thing to do is look for clearer water wtth current whether incoming or outgoing. Also look for water that is adjacent to deeper such as 12'-0" to 15'-0" or beter. The bass move in and out of the deeper structure as the tide moves. As the weather has been very warm lately look for shaded areas or try fishing the grass mats with a weedless frog and hang on. This is a great way to fish with kids also try a weedless whacky rig. The less hang ups you have with the kids the more they will enjoy fishing. Be prepared chances are one of those kids will land a monster bass so have a net handy, and by the way do practice catch and release to preserve the sport for future generations. Success

Water Temp: 56
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: launched in the southwest end of the Delta for two days (4/16-4/17. I was trying to learn how to fish with the bigger swim baits and used an 8 inch bait for the majority of both days. I caught 8 fish over both days using the bait with the smallest being 2-15 and the biggest 12-3 (My personal biggest ever). The remainder of the time I caught 14 fish with the smallest not worth mentioning and the biggest 4-7. On the 16th, I fished from daylight to 7pm and on the 17th from daylight to 3pm. There may be something to bigger baits - bigger fish.

Water Temp: ??
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: My best day since I've been back from Korea on one of the worst days I've been out. All I have to say, "WINDY!!!". I ran the custom Valco bass boat "BASSBUSTER1" to the far side of Lost Isle to work the back side. I managed a double limit on a spinnerbait, biggest was 4.3 lbs. The 4 pounder broke my favorite 3/8 double willow spinnerbait I've been using the last 2 months. So I built another one on the spot with my spair parts kit I keep in the boat. I matched it up as best I can, but ended up using a 1/2 ounce instead. I beleive that was key to getting my double limit at Lost Isle.
I then proceeded to my destination at Tikki Lagoon. That was totally different and challenging. The water was clearer there, especially when I took my boat under the walk bridges to fish behind the boat docks. I tried every thing for a couple hours and no bites. I switched to my rod with 10 pd Berk. Sensation and found out the bass wanted 6" red shad curly tail worms. I was able to manage another limit working the deeper water behind the docks. Biggest bass went 3.2 lbs.
City: StocktonTips: Try to get out of the wind as best as possible. It beat me up pretty good with the trolling motor on high most of the day.

Water Temp: 60-67
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Ladds at 6:00am and headed towards Turner Cut, tried a blade, spook,Slammer, senko and drop-shot;Nothing!
Moved on down to outside of Mildred and water looked great, got bit on blk/blu jig in 8' and missed it. Moved inside Mildred and caught a few on drop-shot and grnpkn senko wacky; they were tight on cover, right against it. Stuck six or seven in the 1.5-2.5 range and one 5.5 tucked in tight to a grass flat. Ended up with best five for about 15-16lbs.
City: HilmarTips: Was not getting bit well on the 20# floroCarb so i started pitching wacky senkos with 8# test and they started eating it pretty good, every fish headed toward deep water. Drop shot 6" MM on wood.

Water Temp: 61
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Pretty solid day. Good reaction in the morning and good jig and plastic bite later. The voodoo is really starting to produce now. Black first thing and bluegill later now that the bluegill are getting active. Also, a black blue jig work in a hopping motion is good.In the afternoon any senko that has a green tint to it will do and a green pumpkin jig is a good choice. Thanks to Chris and Amy at fishin magician tackle for the proto type Majestic Jig I have been using. There is nothing out there like it. The bass have been tearing it up and what an awesome bed bait. They are finally ready to start taking orders on it. Sad for me, but good for them.
Tips: Dark colors in the morning and natural in the afternoon. Fish are really starting to feed on flats. The jigs tight to structure have been doing well. Call Chris or Amy at 530-642-9050 if you are interested in placing an order.

Water Temp: no idea
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished Saturday out of Holland. When I saw the boat ramp full at 7:30 AM should have gone back home. Fished until 1:00 PM and had good tides throughout. Fishing was slow for my son and I. We managed to catch 10 fish on 11 bites. Best two were 7 and 4...lost one in the 5+ range right at the boat also. All others were 1.5 - 2 lb variety. I have never seen so many boats on the water in April!!! The problem wasn't the number as much as the number who have no clue how to operate a boat...
City: BrentwoodTips: All fish came on jig or drop shot. Best two were jig fish. I fished deep rock with sparse grass on it and chose areas I've never fished. Brown/Green combination worked once again as did MMIII on the drop shot. There will be better days and were it not for the non-bass guys/gals out there it would have been a nice day.

Water Temp: 60+
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: I fished a jig almost all day. Hooked a 10+ early but he spit my jig on his 2nd jump. I think my dad hooked the same fish a few hours later, but he broke off at the boat. It was definatyely a HUGE fish, possibly 2 HUGE fish? If anyone catches one with a brown jig "Lip Ring" let us know... I also caught my 1st bedding bass after letting the jig just sit in the bed.
Ended up catching a 5, plus 7 more to 2 pounds... Very hot day, stay hydrated.
City: SomersetTips: Jigs with a creature trailer or craw worked best for us. Caught several small one's on top-water early.

Water Temp: 70 deg
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Nothing to report today. I just got off from work and decided to run the Custom Valco Bass Boat "BASSBUSTER1" to back end of 14 Mile Slough to get away from the week end crazyness (it was an awesome main channel run though). With extreme low tide back there, high blue skies, and just a cuople hours of day light left I mainly was just "Chuckin' & winding" a spinner bait. I did try plastics and jigs too.
My main reason for the post is to say "Thank you" to the two guys in the bass boat next to me I shared the water with. If they weren't there to power through the floating weed mats I may have been night fishing for a while.
Once again thanks for your support today.
City: StocktonTips: When fishing in areas with alot of floating mats and is a little breezy look behind you once in awhile to be sure you are not getting block in. :-P
