Water Temp: low 60s
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Cliff Croxall of Benicia, CA and I fished April 4&5 (Fri/Sat)in the Frank's Tract and Mildred areas. Air temps were a little warmer than at clear lake, but still cool and windy (wore warm clothes all day). We caught 20 plus bass in two full days of fishing. Highlight for me was catching a 6-6 on a jig/sweet beaver combo in 6-10 feet (my biggest jig fish to date). She was all spawned out in the mid-section but had a huge head (probably a 7-8 lb fish a couple weeks prior). Cliff caught three or four 4 lbers. The rest were in the 2-3 lb range. We primarily pitched sweet beavers on a 3/16 oz texas rig (sprayed grass) and 6" senkos in green or purple. The primary pattern to success was pitching to tule island points with deeper water nearby (5'-20'). Following the high, outgoing tide seem to be best.
This was my third time fishing the delta. Finally starting to find a method to this madness. Some of Cliff's club members stated they were catching bass on red cranks and spinnerbaits along rock shorelines (7 lber on spinnerbait). We took several great pictures with cliff's new digital camera that could have ended up on the cover of Basswest magazine!
City: San Diego, CATips: fish tule island points with deep water access, during the outgoing tide.
If you get "blown out" of Frank's track with white caps, head to the Holland/Mildred areas where it remains calm and out of the bay breeze. -

Water Temp: 56
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched from Ladd's at 8 a.m. and man was it cold. Headed for 14 mile slough and caught a 1.5 on the first cast. Well you know what that meant - next bite came 2 1/2 hrs. later. As the tide rose and it warmed up some the fish started to respond a little bit but not what I was hoping for. Caught 11 fish up to 5.9 but the next biggest was just 2.5. No real pattern to speak of, just threw everything in the box at them - 5" senko worked the best, two on a jig and three on a white spinnerbait and that was it. It really hasn't turned on for me yet this year, seems like it's still a little on the cold side. None of the fish caught today showed any signs of spawning, their tails looked brand new.

Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched out of Russo's at 7:30am and fished the Tract. Lots of boats in my planned area so tried Old River and only got a few dinks. Around 12:30pm went back to the Tract no bites so when we were just about to quit my buddy Hanson hooks a 6.2 and I get a 4.9. took a picture of the 6.2. Both fish were released and hopefully will make another angler happy or at least give us some more little ones!
City: So. San FranciscoTips: The 6+ was caught on a Helix and mine was caught on a watermellon senko. You never know when that fish is going to bite so make that last cast when you can. Water is clearing up nicely so get out there when you get a chance.

Report: I have been following the Delta fishing reports and decided to fish the Delta for the first time this year. Thanks for all the good reports. My buddy and I fished the Franks Track area all day because of the wind. In the morning, there was an outgoing tide. The water is still muddy but the temperature was up to 58

Report: On the water at 7:00A. Was trying to fish the Mokelumne but it was windy. By 10:30A, my fishing buddy had caught 1 keeper size fish and a bunch of small ones while I didn't get one bite. Decided to hide out in Hog Slough. Within 90 minutes, we caught 12 keeper size bass. Best 5 - 20+ lbs. One of the 5- lbers looked like she has just fished spawning while the other 5+ lber was still full of eggs.
City: DixonTips: Fished 1/2 oz Rat L Trap in the weeds. Bites were light. Pay full attention when casting with the wind -- lost 3 lures on levee rocks yesterday because I was b'sing and not paying full attention.

Report: Well finally hit the delta after a year and half break, @ 9:00am I launched out of Del's (Rivers End) Headed up Old River to the big Island, fishing a incoming/almost high tide.Flipped shallow and seen fish jumping in deeper water
I backed out to deeper water and started cranking a red speed trap fished all the way back towards Del's I threw everything jig tight/deep,blade on points right up against the tules on outgoing, Dead sticked a senko,Threw the big unit in wood/weeds/pockets,Even threw a Popper up in the tules on high NOTHING!
Ran up Victoria way fished the low tide red crank on out side weed line produced five 2lb. rats .
Off the water at 5:00pm I did not see one crusier or bed fish most water down south is still muddy but I did find clear water up old river back behind the island out of the current spot looks prim but no takers.
Get back into the swing of things, I'll find em and post the report
Tight Lines
City: TracyTips: I have no clue been fishing this river for a few years n ow and I am no expert but I tried my tried and tested true tricks today and just could not get on the bigger fish. Guess its just a tough bite saw 2 other boats out today and both said the same thing tough fishing! I guess go fish franks tract and give the south a couple more weeks

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Finally got a chance to get out and decided on the Delta. Started at Franks at 7:30am hit a few spots for nada. Started fishing Old River and found some clearer water. We ended the day with 7 fish all were about in the 2#s. Fished mostly rock with sparse tulles on them and all looked like males. All were caught on Dark colored Senkos but lost a few on Pitching jigs. We tried spinnerbaits, Plugs and some top water stuff but got nada. We only fished the Outgoing tide. Beautiful Day!
City: So San FranciscoTips: All I can say is find a difference in water color and have some patients. Fish were hitting light. The last four fish were caught in the last two hours of the tide. I lost a few pitching jigs in Black and Blue color. Add a little weight when the tide moving fast.
