    Report: FISHED FROM 7:30-11:00 AND THAT WAS TOO LONG OF A GAP WITH NO BITES.C-RIG,JIG,CRANK.WATER WAS FROM CLEAR TO CHOCOLATE MILK.RAIN OFF AND ON AND COLD OFF WATER BY 11:00.

    Tips: WAIT TILL IT WARMS UP.AT LEAST STAY ON YOUR TROLLING MOTOR SAVE FUEL BECAUSE RIGHT NOW AT LEAST FOR ME THE GRASS IS NOT GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE.

    Report: Water was colder than a witches tit !! Hit up Disco Bay hitting mostly the NW corners of all the bays we hit ( saw 49-50 degree water in the NW corners ). Threw Drop-Shots, Jigs, Split-Shot Worms, Grubs, Swimbaits, Crankbaits, and Beavers for squat. Not even a tick. We fished from about 11:45am till 3:00-15, and fished as slow as we could and nothing. At one point we even soaked/dead-sticked our baits for 3-5 minutes at a time with light twitches to try to entice some knucklehead squeakers and they just weren't havin' it. We'll need a few more weeks before they start really warming up, in my opinion.

    Report: I have been catching between 1&4 on average the last ywo weeks> Sat. caught only two --one 5lbs. one 8lbs. Both on jigs- afternoon.You have to hunt for acceptable water-most of the Delta is pretty muddy.

    Tips: Big females are already checking things out.Slow and steady for the big girls.

    Report: tough, tough day. had our devil mountain bassmasters club tournament with 8 boats (team tournament). 5 boats blanked. 2 boats got one fish and --- there's always somebody ---- one boat caught a limit (even culled a fish)!

    Tips: still waiting to find out "exactly" how the winner caught all of his fish. other than that, the rest of us threw everything under the sun with (obviously) no real success

    Report: Launched out of B&W fished for 4 hours nothing. Fished jigs, drop-shot and cranks. fished the river channel. should have fished some dead end sloughs saw several boats in sycamore slough.

    Report: Fished the last day of 07, threw small baits , big baits, reaction baits, drop shot, all day long with no bites until I decided to work the bank on the way to the ramp, hooked into a 3 lber.
    the bite was undetectible- just weight and then a little tug. caught on a LV max 500 in a bone color,after all those casts the percentage was in my favor. the water temp in the river and the back of sloughs dosent differ much right now.

    Tips: Dress warm, mix up your baits, be versatil, make plenty of casts.

    Report: I worked my winter piling pattern just going from dock to dock around marinas in back of coves. Using a 4" leech style plastic I did some Shak'n and flipping.

    Tips: Down size your baits and work'm slow. With alot of afternoon sun on the back of coves I believe makes the 1 or 2 degree differnce. I graphed alot of bait fish as well.

    Report: It was cold and overcast for most of the day, threw most of what was in the boat today and could get bit. I was fishing in my club buddy's boat and we were searching mostly deep water with just a few bites. Ran into other club friends, they were able to pick up a few decent fish in the weed line on jigs. The key seems to be hitting them on the nose.

    Report: David, I would get off the main river and look for some dead end sloughs,bays, or marina's. The water in these areas might be a degree or two warmer than the main river and are more likely to hold bait. Your lures are cool! The only thing that I would do differently is. Instead of a crankbait. I would slow-roll a spinnerbait or yo-yo a lipless crankbait to cover water.

    Report: Well guys I'm back and eager to hear some more advice on catching these less than willing, lathargic bass. They continue to be hiding from me which leads me to believe the obvious, I'm doing something wrong!! Please help a desperate angler that refuses to give up hope. I did manage to swing a 6.5lber in the boat a couple of weeks ago and that fish keeps my hopes alive. I know that it is cold and the bass don't move far. I've been drop-shotting, dragin jigs, and praying for a crankin bite. These are the three main approaches that I have been using in the south delta. Anyone with more knowledge than I, please let me know anything that will help in leading me to success! Color selection, methods, areas to fish, water clarity, etc????? I appreciate all of your advice. Thank you and stay warm!!!

    Report: launched out of Holland, first cast Holland Harbor sign at corner of old River got a 5lb+ LM.... rip baits for about 5 hours in and around Disco Bay got about 15 fish, only 2 stripers (small).

    Tips: rip baits and rattle traps.

    Report: I agree it's nice to be back on my home waters. After a 2 year tour in South Korea and enjoying the bass fishing there. I'm excited to be back and hunt for that first 10 lber. that's still eluding me.

    After getting the annual service done on my custom 12 ft. Valco "BASS BUSTER 1" luanched at Pixie Woods and worked main channel points and coves with docks and marinas.

    Tips: Work it slow and down size. Found fish in 10 ft. of water.

    Report: Went out with a friend for a foggy day and cold Delta day of bass fishing.Out at daybreak and no bites till 1:00 then wham,25lbs.for 4 fish.We were south delta and the fish were very active after a long search.I gotta 5 and a 2.He gotta 9.98 and a 8.Really was fun.

    Tips: Hang in there,don't stop grinding it out till you find the fish.If you are not getting bit then move.Fish the current then fish the slow water.Jigs and brush hogs slow.Danny.

    Report: On a cold and foggy morning, I knew winter had settled into the delta. What happended to the fall bite? I don't know, I guess I missed it.

    The fog was thick, so I didn't get on the water until about 8:30 and started by throwing beavers without any takers. I did some shallow cranking in and around franks track, again no luck. I found myself near little franks and decided to toss a hula grub on a football head to the rip-rap. Of course, the first cast hung on the drop. So I moved in to retrieve it. I was able to pop it free and my rod immediately loaded up with a nice delta 4 pounder. And I knew I was on to something. This fish had a full belly and I realized that I had missed the fall bite. It was in the rocks and the "special of the day" was crawfish. With the tide almost bottomed out, I called it a day.

    Tips: Who knew, they are between the weedline and the rip-rap. Work the gap

    Report: well i tried to start off the day ripping.......nothing..then blades.nothing again. so i picked up a spinning rod, luckily i brought one and split shot a 6" roboworm all day. i targeted sunny banks with little current but close to the main channel. i targeted points but stayed off the bank. i found my self casting up to 6-8' of water all day. biggest fish shy over 2 lbs. no stripers. i figure i love fishing for bass so why switch. i tried a jig a little and cranking but nothing. total 10 fish nothing to brag about...

    Tips: work those points. look for water w/ no or little current. i do not doubt the c-rig would have work but i perferd that light presentation. it was calm and the water was like glass for 10am on till night.
