Water Temp: 64.5
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Left solo out of Rivers End Marina about 7:30am. Got two Black Bass on top water near the trailer park. Nice fish about 4#s each. Then went over to I think it is called Willows ski area and got two stripers. Both came on a Spook. One was barely legal the other was about 7#s. Spent the rest of the day fishing black plastic, texas rigged,8" worms and white spinnerbait. Ended up with 10 black bass and the two stripers for the day. Biggest Black was 5#s and came off the edge of the weeds on the black worm. Slow day !! The other boats I talked to were having a slower day.. The fish were picking up the plastics very light. You really had to pay attention.
City: BRISBANETips: Pay attention to how you work everything. top water splash it then stop it . Plastics work the edges of the weeds real slow.

Water Temp: 66

Report: Launched out of Russo's and went striper fishing with no success at all. Decided to fish for blacks and caught about a dozen fish witht he biggest going 6.5 lbs. Threw pig and jig and Yamamoto Kreatures in 0 to 6 feet of water.
City: OakleyTips: Keep at it and if you're not catching 'em up good, move to a new spot.

Water Temp: 63
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: fished south delta, tough tough bite both from the clear sky post front conditions and the time of year. swam a shallow LC fat body crank in ghost shad slowly over the tops of the weeds for a couple of small ones (but they were fat), one on a really well built custom black 1/2oz "Cliff H" jig with blue pork trailer. fronts and tops of the weedlines continue to produce the fish. broke off a good one on a Cliff H jig too, but ain't that always the story...
City: SonoraTips: stay in front of the weedline. black jigs w/blue trailers. wonder how well a heavy C-rig would do coming thru the grass and down the ledge??

Water Temp: 62
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Fished out of Disappointment slough and it was appropriately named during this trip. On water 7:30AM-1:30PM and no topwater, blades, crankbaits or plastic bite. Fished 0-30 feet.I have caught at least a few fish whenever I go out to the Delta and consider myself a decent fisherman (who used to fish tourneys down in San Diego) and figured I could catch at least a few fish but I didn't get a single bite. The only fish I saw were graphed (a ball of bait in 15' with fish all around it). They wouldn't take blades or plastic.
Tips: Don't ask me... I have no clue.

Report: Caught an early morning bite using my Home-made Arkie Jigs(like "Whadda JIgs") but only about .50 cents a piece to make. Middle river area showed it's stuff, bite was slow until change, then whammo.
City: TracyTips: Black jigs with a little red , orange did the trick. 1/2 oz in the open and heavier ones for the thicker stuff.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Tough bite until tides came in. Got two on a crank and that's it for reaction bites. Fished topwater all day. Nothing. Had to slow way down to even get bit. Found concentrations of smaller fish dropshotting in deeper water. At least they were keepers!
City: SacramentoTips: The clear water held more fish than stained. Look for areas with current and fish the breaks if things get tough.

Report: Took a trip to Willows on the outlet, spinnerbaits were my best bet, two nice fish. Thge rest of the afternoon I threw spooks and poppers with mixed results. Total about fifteen pounds.
City: joaquinvilleTips: Get your fish out of Franks now and move out while housing prices are stable. Hear they are already dropping. Damn the dams.

Water Temp: 62-63
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Didn't find any big bites, just a bunch of typical delta 2 lbers. Reaction bite is definitely on, but took a while to find the right spots where they are just grouped up. All fish found out side of weed lines, waiting to ambush any prey that came by. just stayed around frank's and quimby area. Any area that had access to the main channel seemed to produce the most fish. Tried flippin, blades, and traps. Traps produced the most fish for me, anything with chartreuse seemed to the key. I tried wide wobbling cranks with out much luck...only the tight vibrating ones seemed to call those fish out. Don't exactly why this is, but i'll listen to the fish, and let them tell me which baits to throw.
City: el cerritoTips: find a tule clumps that stick out far enough to create an ambush point. Fish them carefully and you should be able to pull out 3 or more fish off one spot. dissect the clump with different casting angles, and change up the cadence of your lure retrieve when your lure is in the zone. these fish are just stacked up sometimes. too bad it was too windy to throw a weightless bait...prolly could have fished out a couple more.

Water Temp: all over the pl
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: fished middle delta yesterday, tide was upside down from what I normally seem to see there - high tide at dawn and a .3' tide at 1, water didn't seem to move as well as I'd expected with a 3' swing. tough to get on any size but caught 10 or so, largest around 3.4. best 5 maybe 11 lbs. but it was nice to be back out on the river after 2 weeks off. all fish caught in the front of the weedlines - my boater pounded the banks without anything to show for it but a few non keepers. sonar showed fish stacking up on deeper structure. with the really different water temps we saw in various areas the deeper water probably seems more consistent for them or something... caught them on spinnerbaits, red timber tiger crank (delta craw color), texas rigged trick worm in green pumpkin, and green pumpkin kreature - and of course that d*mn senko. with the senkos and the worms look for holes and pockets in the front of the weedlines, drop in and see if you get bit, if not then swim it to the front of the weedline and drop it, let it sit for a few, bounce, bounce. lather, rinse, repeat till they jump on. areas with light current next to deep water drop offs produced better, YMMV
City: SonoraTips: get off the banks, get in front of the weedlines

Report: took my son fishing on saturday. launched out of whiskey slough. had a friend and his son in another boat. we caught fish on everything we threw. my 5 yr old son caught a 2 lber on a red and white crappie jig. big fish was a 5 lb on a white w/ black flake senko. lots of fish on crankbaits just outside the weedline. off the water by noon the boys were soaked. they had a great time.
can someone tell me what a shellcracker is?
City: RiponTips: toss the senkos into every hole you see in the weeds and watch your line.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Great weight for tracy bass big daddy blue ranger but I do have one question for you. You seem to really know what you're doing out on the water so why fish with amateurs. You should be fishing as a pro in another division. Maybe the stren series or something similar. You keep placing in the money in tourneys, you wont be able to fish tracy circuit next year anyways. Dont take this the wrong way, because any one of us that sees your pics should have some respect. Good luck from a delta rat that never sees a 29lb bag. Or even a 20 for that matter.

Report: Tough bit out of wimpy's. Fished all the way up the skinny in beaver. 2 on a sinko, 1 on a jig. Few on a rattle trap. Really tough bite about 1 fish for 300 casts. Did get one about 4 but I had to drag my boat over a tree to get back to were the fish were. Wish I new what I was doing. My bush wacking into the skinny stuff didnt work this time.
Tips: Take a old aluminum boat and use a come along to drag it into spots less traveled. And bring a cell phone when that goes bad.
