    Water Temp: 80?

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: I'm so sore. Headed out yesterday morning in what turned out to be an all day affair. Launched my float tube at 8am from Beacon and began hitting fish in the shaded areas behind the docks. Fish were hitting my jig and weightless t-rig senkos. Took a break from the water from about noon to 130pm. Launched back out when the tide started coming back in. Found a mat and tried to flip my senko into one of the holes. Senko landed ontop of some floating dead tules and BOOM!!! A fish just exploded on it! Turned out to be best fish of the day, 5+lbs. Waded the docks a little more and waited for the rec. boats to come back in. When it looked like most of them were in, I set out to the tulle wall across from the levy. From there, the fishing was insane. Every fish was at least a 3lber. All in all, a great day on the water! best 5 - 18lbs. My best limit ever!
    City: SF

Tips: Get a tube. I love it. Senkos and Jigs did the trick for me. Target the shade. Under mats, docks, in the tules. Understanding the tide definately helps!

Being able to spend the whole day in basically the same area taught me a lot about how the tide affects the position of the fish. Thanks to everyone for the input!

Report: went out for a little night fishing in the tube and found the bite to be unreal. I hit a bank in the afternoon and could not get a tap but about 10 at night it was all out madness. All on black jigs as fast as you could cast.

Report: Looks like I won't be fishing the stockton bass tournament tomorrow because I was involved in an accident and my truck maybe totaled. Good luck to all you guys at stockton bass tomorrow and be safe. I might still be able to make the TOC it all depends on how everyone else does. Of course I'm fishing the rest of the season because my partner and I had a falling out and we will not fishing together anymore. So it looks like I'll be finishing the year solo.

Report: Fish a half day on Friday so we stayed close to Franks track. My buddy caught a few fish using a brown jig with a smallie beaver trailer in the 2-3 pound range. I was throwing black and blue and not getting touched. I could get bit on plastics, but the quality wasn't there. The best fish (3-5 Lbs) came on a reaction bite, blades and red rattle traps in 3-6' of water.
    City: Walnut Creek

Tips: The best way to improve your fishing is to get a network of friends and put time on the water. Devil mountain bassmasters is a group of friends that fish together, share information and our goal is to have the best on the water experience. We are an active club that hosts speakers and offers a friendly, but competitive monthly tournament each month. If you would like to join in on our fun, please go to www.dmbass.com and come check out a meeting, we have room for more boaters.

Report: Launched out of Paradise with a friend and ran to some new water in preparation for Saturday's Stockton Bass Tournament. Can't tell you much bit we fished mostly in Franks using jigs and worms. My friend hooked into some really nice fish and we managed to land them all without a net. Talking about old school, try landing a 7lb bass by lipping it oh Yeh! Anyway he caught a 7lb, 5lb and two 4lbers best 5 going almost 21lbs. I'll post pic's of his fish after Sat tournament. Great job Paul (You're a good stick), I had a great time fishing with you and look forward to more trips in the future.

Tips: I used ledge fishing technique that I learned last week while guide fishing with Rich Thiel. He's a great guy and I highly recommend him if you want to learn delta ledge fishing.

Report: Got started in Frank's Track on a calm morning with hardly a ripple on the water. Fished the Tule Islands shallow side first throwing jigs, plastics and a few spinner baits. Not much action. Switched to a Chrome/Black lipless crank bait and got immediate action, but not much size. Biggest a 2+. Moved to the deep side of the Tules and picked up a nice 5+ with an 8" snake as it fell off the drop. Action stopped so we moved a bit south and fished points. A fish here and there but nothing big on plastics and crank baits. Finished up in Sandmound area and picked up a couple of 3's with Brush Hog and Sweet Beaver aournd high tide on the outside of docks. Best 5 around 15.
    City: Concord

Tips: Still learning the Delta and fishing the tides. Plastics still working best for us for our bigger fish.

    Water Temp: 75

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: A club buddy and I went out for our third round of the "Delta Classic". With each of us take the title in the two previous, we launched from Russo's in search of honor and glory. The calm of the morning had our hopes high for a great Friday of fishing, but by mid morning we could feel the wind start to build. So having caught several fish in Franks track, we made our way to the middle delta where we found light cooling breezes. 1-3 pound fish were the norm of the day on plastics. In the late morning, we turned to blades around rock and wood with consistance and painfully broke off a good fish with tandem willow in white. We took a break for lunch at Orwoods then decided that we should leave the area before pleasure boaters really got started.

Heading back to the tract, the wind was in full force, so crossing the tract was out of the question. We started working the protected area around the west side, finding a areas where fish were group up. Spinnerbaits and a red rattle trap continued to produce, with a nice 4+ pound bass inhaling the trap.

All in all, it was a great day with a club buddy and we must have stroked well over 30 fish on a windy Friday. If you are interested in joining us for future Classics, just go to www.dmbass.com and check out the Devil Mountain Bassmasters. We are a fun and exciting club of recreational fishermen that are dedicated to the pleasure of the sport. Or feel free to give me a call 925-639-7724 and I will be happy to tell you all about the club.
    City: Walnut Creek

Tips: The Blade bite has really picked up for me. Last week the double willow spinnerbait produced a 9 lb delta monster. This week, I was lighting them up and I broke it off on a solid fish.

Report: Lot's of 2 & 3 pound fish caught. No swimbait or topwater action for us. Got a good jig bite in the morning with watermelon red jig and matching trailer. Caught several decent fish on a white Chatterbait pulled over the weedline at low tide. Had one hook up on the Chatterbait where I thought I had a Striper as it was taking a lot of line and not coming up. Got right next to the boat and jumped and came unbuttoned. Very nice LM probably close to 8. Partner caught the big fish (4.8) of the day with June Bug/Red Brush Hog under deep dock.
    City: Concord

Tips: Still trying to catch that big swimbait bass; however, Jig and Chatterbait were catching a lot of numbers in the 2-3 range.

Report: Launched out of Russo's...saw lots of boats near the launch area, fishing the boat docks and bullrushes. Didn't know why so many boats were hanging out in this protected area, but once I moved outside of the wall and into tract, it all made sense. Big chops and strong winds. Hard to control the boat and hard to get out to areas to fish. Hit up all of my favorite fishing spots, but couldnt get anything to bite. ended up with 2 keepers by 12:30 and was extremely frustrated. Took a break, contemplated going going home since the wind never gave up. but then tied on one of "panic lures" (Lucky craft fat BDS) and gave my self 1 more hour to fish. Good thing I stuck around, since I caught 2 really small fish holding tight and shallow on wind blown banks and decided to stick with that pattern. Caught 4 fish that went for about 14/15 lbs and missed my last fish that would have put me over 17 lbs for 5 fish. Not bad for 1 hour of fishing...and pretty darn fun. Turned my fishing trip around and made it into a more memorable one.
    City: El Cerrito

Tips: Call it luck or perseverance, but once you find that pattern...fish the heck out of it and have a great time. Stuck with a chartreuse crankbait since the water was stained, borderline muddy...and the first big fish literally swallowed the lure. Lucky to get the hook out of its throat with out killing the fish.

Report: Well took the day off from work to take my dad out for some fishing. The grand master of plastics . My dad taught me since i was a wee bit big how to fish plastics on lake berryessa,we used to walk the north end of the lake when we were kids and my dad used to fish plastic worms, a blue andpurpleworm texas style. How fishing has come a long way since then I found my dad still sticking to the ol school way . Believe it or not he had the hot hand he baged some nice fish . He never fished the delta, his first time,he told me that he liked it and it was very exciting cause you never know what was hitting his worm a big one or a small one and he said he wanted to go again. He could not believe how much area there was to fish and how good it looked . My dad is74years old just to hear him say those things made my day . unlike me my dad kept all his fish and took them home to cook them and share them with my mom . man how some things never change all in all my father had a great day and so did I . im hoping for more days like today , so tight lines to you all on the watergoing to go out sat and hope the wind dies down a bit so i can get some fishing in...plastic man 1
    City: Elmira

Tips: somr times basic and old school ways work . all this sophisticated shit needs to be put on the shelf. keep it simple and basic realize it is still the same as it was years ago

    Water Temp: 78

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Went solo sat.Launched at Riversend Marina and headed toward Discovery Bay. Wind was howling and tide bottomed out at 7:40 and I launched at 6:15 am. Decided to try topwater and swim bait first. Fooled around with them until 9am. Nothing ! Headed into Disco Bay and started a steady pick around the docks on Senkos And Black texas rigged 8" worms. The worms were the hot ticket. Stopped at a nice restraunt for Breakfast at noon. Then headed toward Victoria island. The tide was dropping and started getting some good size bass around the points working the weed edges. On one point with the wind and tide howling around the corner thought I saw line move and set the hook. Largest bass this year, just a hair under 10#s. I shook the scale several times but it stayed under 10#s. Ten minutes later 6.5#s. Ended up catching 30 bass for the day and biggest 5 fish 28.4#s. Not a bad day. That kicker sure kicked the weight up.
    City: Brisbane

Tips: Try different things until you find what works. The water was real muddy and I still find Black to work the best in mud, or real clear conditions. If I had to choose only one color of plastic it would be Black.

Report: This report will be kicked off by cooch or his buddies . Fished around coochies' house because he always dumps a bunch of big ones there. Sure enough the fish were not hard to get. I would estimate a limit about 17 pounds. Not very big weight, but I can use the info for a culling tool later on for a tourney. Deep with shade with 8'' inch drop shot in margaritta.
    City: sac

Tips: Think of his area as a bass factory.

    Water Temp: 77

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of Dissapointment at 0600 hours. Air temp 74 degrees, wind 5 mph out of the north and water temp at 77 deg. As I was approaching the marina I saw what looked like fog and I said no way. When I arrived at the marina everything and everybody were covered with insectecide from a farmer who was crop dusting everything in sight. Boat, truck and myself completed covered with a powderey substance. Not sure if he missed his mark or if it was done on purpose. Decided to fish for 6 hrs. Fished Mildred and started off with swimbait and immediately hooked into a 3.5 lber. Next cast a huge blowup but no hook up and I didn't even get a chance to see the fish. No more blowups on swimbait. Decided to throw crankbait and hooked 3 more fish a couple of 2 lbers and then a 5lber. It appears that fish are settling into their summer pattern. Lots of pleasure boats on the water so be careful.Best 5 may have gone 13lbs.
    City: EDH

Tips: Crankbaits and swimbaits worked for me today.Be careful of crop dusters and pleasure boaters.
