    Water Temp: 80

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Launched out of the south, straight to the bridge. Caught 2 dinks on a splash-it and spook. Around 10am started fishing trees that were in 10 to 20ft of water long casting senkos weightless. Caught a 5.2 and a 4 in the same tree. Moved up about 50 yds to another group of willows and caught a 3. Mid afternoon I started to split-shotting a river rock point in about 20 ft of water in the main lake and landed a 7 plus. I met up with a local and he showed me some secondary points and other main lake areas and he then landed a 9 plus split-shotting and unknown plastic. I couldn't believe the Florida strain bass in that lake. This was my first trip to the lake and for 2 yrs I haven't blinked an eye nor had the urge to fish this body of water. I normally always spend my time in the Delta but my eyes are now open to quality fish that are lurking in this lake. Monster bass and a lot of snags.
    City: Sacramento

Tips: Fish slow and work all trees, missed a lot of quality fish in 10 to 20 ft steep drop offs. Fish light line.

Report: I had a Guide trip on the day after Memmorial weekend. The fishing in the morning was not so good. We where up the river above the bridge. I decided to head back out to the dam area. This was a good choice as we got into fish right away along the rocks. Carolina riged Robo worms did the trick.

Report: I had the pleasure of fishing the annual Troy Brawley charity tournament with my son, Tom Tietz, yesterday and had a great time. We stayed on the west end of the lake, down by the spillway all day and ended up with 20.25 lbs. for 7 fish to finish in 4th place. It took just over 21-lbs. to win. We caught largemouth and spots from 8 - 25ft. with a variety of plastics and techniques.
We never lost a fish although we missed a lot of hits and couldn't have asked for a better day.
    City: Sacramento

Tips: Small plastics in shad colors. Drop shot, splitshot or shakin' in 4 to 30 ft.

Report: Crystal clear water down to 12 ft at times, day was sunny and breezy. Caught one on my second cast on a witches-t. We got two more later on a senco. Lake looks really bassy. Jigs and cranks didn't work for us, just worms. Bass maybe in the 2 pound range.
    City: San Jose

Tips: New to this lake so can't give any tips. Maybe it just wasn't our day. Bring plenty of tackle, lake is snaggy.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Fished a short day on Saturday, I had to leave by 1:30. Started on deep 35 foot breaks in main body. Took a 12# 13oz. bass that I had a picture taken of at the north shore store before I let her go. Got nine other bass from 2 to 4 pounds. Seven of the fish came on jigs and 2 on worms. Went up river to check it out, 2 of my smaller fish came up there. All on main body were largemouth. The fish I was targeting moved into 20 ft. deep water about noon when the water warmed. Not sure how shallow in late afternoon since I had to leave early.
    City: Galt

Tips: The picture of the big fish is on the norcalfishing.com website in the photo gallery.

Report: Similar to an earlier report, the river was tough. Started off there ripping and spinnerbaiting and never got touched. Moved way up the river and got a limit on jigs, but they were all 13" spots. Did get a nice 2.5 spot further down the river on a jig in a tree, but couldnt repeat it. A guy said he caught 6 largemouth deep in the trees on the main body, including a 12 lb fish. We worked our way out and did begin catching a few largemouth, which did upgrade us to 9.6 lbs. These were caught splitshotting a 4" worm. We needed 9.9 to make the money. Winners got bit on jigs in main body. Several guys ripped a fish, but most fish caught slightly deeper. Winners did get some fish up river, but they already had better fish.
    City: Yuba City

Tips: I expect that next weekend, #'s should be better.

    Water Temp: mid 40's

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Fished Folsom Bass Team event today with around 18 boats. Partner and I managed 21 keepers with our best 5 going 15.99 pounds, good enough or the win. Second place ran about 12 1/2 pounds. Big ish was around 4 1/2 with second big ish about 3.80. My partner and I didn't have a kicker ish, just a bunch o clone 3 pounders...one o which was a beautiul spotted bass.We caught our ish in 5 dierent locations around China Gulch and on the dropos outside North Shore. We caught a lot o keepers but our best ish came on 3 baits:1) 2 dierent spoons; one in black/chartreuse, the other an Aji colored DUH spoon,2) dropshot using blue ghost worms,3) jigs in brown with purple Yamamoto grub trailer, and a black DUH jig with a Yamamoto 180 trailer. Most jig and spoon ish came between 32-45 eet. Spoon ish came 45-62 eet.PS...also spooned a big catish!
    City: Fair Oaks

Tips: Almost ALL our ish were bloated and required izzing. I you can't pop a ish, then please learn how! Try keeping a ew small deep caught ish in your livewell during your preishing and practice needling on these ish. I you kill a small one while learning, that's okay...take it home and eat it. There are plenty o small ish in these lakes, but we need to protect those bigger tournament ish. By practicing this way, you will be able to saely izz bigger ish that stay in your livewell all tournament day. Please protect our resource!!One more thing, when ishing super deep, its inevitable that you will lose a ew ish even ater popping them. So, please only ish very deep i you absolutely have to.

Eight o the bass came on drop shot (anything that looks like a shad) and the rest came on spoons. Anywhere rom 25 to 40 t deep. Our stringer together was around 12 pounds, better day than what we thought because how cold it was.

Report: On the water at 6:30 Am, ished just past the narrows and had my irst ish 7AM 2.2 lb spot ate a Fat Free Shad Suspending crank bait. That was the only ish that would eat a crank bait. Switch to Pro Worm's Mean Green and ished just outside the stick ups caught 8 more Spotted Bass, one dink and the rest rom 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 pounds...
    City: Roseville

Tips: Comanche is coming up and cooling due to water released rom Pardee, which is really nice. All the ish I caught today were in 13 to 27 eet o water. Most o the bigger spots I caught would have another spot o equal size ollowing it to the boat...I was using a quarter oz Mojo weight pegged 5" above the hook equiped with a Mean Green Pro worm and I would drag it a bit and shake it a little. I like this lake and ish it every Saturday...

Report: It was a tough day on the lake today. We decided to start ishing at the crack o dawn. Fished the same areas as my last report 2 weeks ago with the same lures. Didn't catch our irst keeper until 10:30A. Ater 11 hours, we went home with 8 keepers (nothing big - 2lb smallmouth was the largest). Caught a lot o undersized bass again.
    City: Dixon

Tips: All keepers were caught on spinners - white and chartruse/white with dbl blades. No keepers on Rat L Traps today.
