    Water Temp: warm

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: My buddy Maggs and I hit the lake at daylight looking for Bass action.Today was pre-frontal conditions and it showed. A bit of a tough bite, but we did hook up with around nine fish. The crankbait and rattle trap fish we caught all hit like they just wanted to kill the lure not eat out of hunger, hooked them on the outside of the jaw, mostly on the head and under the gills. Maybe a quarter of the bites were really agressive, the others just felt like you were hung in the weeds. Didn't really throw alot of plastic, was looking for more of a reaction bite, wasn't in the mood to just sit and twitch a lure! Till next time Yall have a goodn'.

    Water Temp: 62

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Arrived at the lake 2:00 pm on friday and spent the weekend with 15 buds for an annual camp/ fish outing. Fished hard the whole weekend with limit sucess on everything we tried including jigs, grubs, worms, lizards, spinner baits. Previous years on this weekend 20 fish per man/ per day easy. This year an average of 5 for the whole day and nothing over 2 lbs. Best sucess on Yamamoto grubs- salt and pepper, smoke black flake or smoke with red/ green flake casting from 20' of water to the banks with a very slow retrive hugging the bottom. Caught more fish and had more bites when I went from a 5" super grub to a 4". Go figure? Water was super clear and there was no wind, I think that was a large factor in the slow bite. Overall a great weekend with fellow fisherman and good friends.

Tips: Sounds like we left a day early. Things improved significantly on Monday. Its all about timing.

    Water Temp: colder

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: On the water at 8:30. Fished the south, the rain cooled the water down so fish was deeper than last week, they were holding off points at 20' deep. Wind was an important factor, all the fish was on the blown side of the points. Caught about 15 with the best five going for 12#. The morning bite was on C'Rigged Senkos (Green) dragged very slow across the points. The PM bite was mainly on Dartheads bearing a Aaron's magic Robo Curly (4 1/2")
    No jig bite at all!
    City: Folsom

Tips: Find the holding depth and type of structure, repeat, repeat. The seem to keep the pattern. There's lots of fish, it's a good time to try different things. Have Fun.

    Water Temp: 50-60

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: It did not look pretty when we first got there! There was 4-5 foot waves and my little ranger was rockin and rollin! We got some cover up in the north arm and found a couple wind blow banks that were gettin pounded with waves but that was part of the fun! We had a couple quick hook ups nothin fancy bank runners on rip baits but it was a start! The sun was high and we found a couple really good beds and caught seven bass from 1-2 Lbs. Threw tubes and rip baits but the better bites were on the plastic! Just find some cover cause the bass are up and its a fun time of year! Good luck and God bless!
    City: Citrus Heights

Tips: Just use your imagination cause camp far is all about lots of little one's and fish slower and deeper for the better quality fish! Stick baits and top water early in the morning!

    Water Temp: 55-58

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Started out in Rock Creek and found the water color more stained than other areas but managed a couple small bass and then moved to main lake where we got on some nice shallow banks and worked a chatterbait and tube with great success. Fish were caught on virtually anything we threw, blades, jig, dropshot, tube, crankbait and ripbait. Lake is really starting to open up and with another week and more clearing, CFW will be on fire! Headed back out in the morning as I can't get enough of a good thing.
    City: Wheatland

Tips: Dropshot in 17-20' with Aaron's Magic and they seemed to like any color chatterbait and the 2 I had broken off were 1/2 oz white/chartruese. Jig fish were on brown/orange with Yamamoto #180 grub. Just throw it.........they'll eat it.

Report: We fished from 10:00 until 4:00 and caught one fish on a crank bait. I think it was the dummest fish in the lake. Tried everything and anything but could not get bit. We worked the entire Rock Creek arm of the lake up past the island, which was very muddy. Is the lake fisihing any better up towards the Bear River?

    Water Temp: 50-53

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Lake going back up a little but still low. Tom Erickson and I fished the long and deep banks with crank baits, picked up two and one at 2.2 lbs. Staying in the main body (wats left) and on rocky points in 5-20 ft of water using 3/8 football jigs head with a hulla grubs. On one bank along we got 6 nice bass up to 2.5 lbs.
Most of the Hulla grubs were green pumkin with red/black flake and smoke/black. After the sun hits the water slow down and get ready for a "soft" bite. Some of the fish just picked it up and came swimming at the boat. So be ready for your line to feel limp.
    City: Rocklin

Tips: crank slow with a deep diver on rocky banks and point. Most of the fish that were deep did not bite?
