Water Temp: not sure Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility) Report: one of my favorite lakes for numbers. problem is the lake is dropping swiftly and getting drained out real quick for the winter rains. one, visibilty is about 7 inches and cover is basically gone. But, for the persistent, big fish can be caught.
City: san joseTips: Big spinner-baits and big plastics.

Water Temp: Not sure Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: Back in November '04, By The Rock Spot at other end opposite to the launch ramp... I caught a 2-3 lb female big mouth with a cheap assassinator bait. Tips: If your usual/favorite techniques don't work... try using a bit of everything you have. Who knows what you'll catch..

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: i fished @ about 8:00am to 10:am and caught several nice bass. i use a float tube and kick over to the cove opposite the boat launch. it was kind of windy and i dropp-shotted a purple roboworm with an eighteen inch leader. i worked my way up the shore away from the dam Tips: tie your drop shot hook on with a palomar knot leaving 18 inches under the hook. put the loose end back through the front of the eyelet of the hook so the hook stands up strait. use drop shot weights that can clinch on the end of the line. hook a purple or blue robo worm right through the nose and keep your rod tip up and lots of action. if you dont float use a melon yamasenko with no weights or accoutrements and retrienve it slowly.

Water Temp: 79 Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility) Report: On the water at 6:00pm till 8:00pm. My son and I took our kickboats out there, rowed to the far side of the lake. Not to much action but I did manage a 3.5lbs on a T-rigged 4inch worm(purple), and one other dink, my son farmed two small ones, gotta set that hook harder I told him.
City: morgan hillTips: Fish slow with plastics while the sun is high, fish reaction baits when the sun starts to set, good luck!

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: Tried all my usual spots: cove to the right of the boat launch, left of the boat launch, near the drain pipe. Tried spinnerbaits, crankbaits, dropshot, carolina rigged lizard, jig. Nothing worked. The bass must be deep. I couldn't find them. Any ideas out there?

Water Temp: 67' Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility) Report: Foggy morning, launched at 8. Hooked first fish at 8:15. Continued to catch 4 more before the sun came out at noon. All fish in the two pound range. All on wht./chart. spinnerbaits and all in 7 to 10ft. of water. Tried dropshot, crankbaits and tubes but no luck.
City: San JoseTips: Go early once the sun cames out the bass go deep and lock up.

 Chesbro is still fun.

Water Temp: 60-70 Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: I casted out a Neon Green/yellow spinner bait around 4:30-5am in the morning about my 4th cast out there i felt a big tug so i reeled it in and snap my pole back and the fish was hooked. I caught a large mouth bass around 1-2 lb. I was suprised that i caught something but the fish was probably the one jumping the whole night.

Location: i caught my fish on the left hand side of the dock all the way in the end near the pipe/gutter looking thing.

June 21, 2005 i went out with a couple of my friends in the morning around 10am but didn't start feeling bits till around 11 to 12. We caught
11 Bluegills total it was a nice day kind of windy but it worked out nicely. We just used Wax Worms hooked onto a size 8 hook with a weight on the bottom. The water was probably around 70 degrees caught it at the same place near the gutter/pipe thing.
City: San JoseTips: Catching the large mouth bass was near land i just used a spinner bait and it worked good. Probably start fishing bass around 5am in the morning while its nice and cool.

I think catching Bluegills should be around 11am-12pm while its nice and hot and the plus is that bluegills are capable in the warmer water so they would be near fishable areas. And plus they are breeding around this time

Water Temp: 70+ Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: I arrived a little after sunset. The fish were real shallow. It was a hot day so they're coming up to feed as the day cools down. I was catching them as close as 2-3 feet away from shore. A black/chartruese spinnerbait with large colorado blade was the trick. I worked all the close by shallows and landed 7 dinks about 1 lbs each. All on the same lure. I had one on a weightless senko but it spit me out.
City: san joseTips: Don't stop working your lure. The fish will come up very shallow to chase it. Warm waters made the fish much more active and fast retrieves were working well.

Water Temp: ?? Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: Fished Chesbro throughout the weekend for a total of 10 hours with no bites with a white spinnerbait from shore. I tried all along the dam up to the first cove at the end of the dam. Some other guy pull out a small 1 pounder with a small 4in worm on a texas rig. Fairly windy conditions makes it hard to cast far enough to get to where the bass are.

Water Temp: 58-59 Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: Went out for a couple hours early in the morning, (6-8am). Morning was overcast with rolling fog around 7:30. Cold morning made for a tough bite. Caught 4 cookie cutter bass of 10"-11", lost one about same size. Threw topwater, rip baits, jigs for no hits, switched to white spinnerbait caught one and threw smoky joe rat'l trap to catch 3. My brother arrived later to splitshot and throw tubes to catch two small dinks.
City: San JoseTips: Wait for more stable weather for the fish to come up.

Caught the others on rattle trap and 5-inch big hammer swimbait. Nice day, I need to get an earlyer start next time.

Water Temp: 75 Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: Fished Chesbro on labor day, very hot day 100deg, fishing was slow, caught a few dinks on rattle trap and t-rig robo worm. Nothing on drop shot, was marking fish on finder but they weren't hungry.

Saw this one guy with a 24 lbs catfish on a stinger that he caught at 2:30am on an anchovie, possibly a lake record. He was chatting with a park ranger about it.
City: Morgan HillTips: Fishing should improve as we head into the Fall season. More reports to follow.

Water Temp: warm Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: Went out from 6:30-10:00 with my son and my brother. My 6-year old outfished us both that day. The fish are getting harder to find and catch. My son caught 3 all on grubs, all different colors. While my brother and I managed to catch one each. Nothing of size except the one that got away from my son. Had a great time anyway. Saw lots of fisherman out on the lake, in boats and shore. Nobaody really catching anything.
City: San JoseTips: Take a kid fishing!
