Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Arived at the lake at 1:30 and it was windy, windy, windy. We saw several ish jumping and I landed a 2 pound rainbow that measured 19 inches in about 40 minutes. Caught it with silver sparkle power bait nuggets. Only stayed 3 hours and had no more luck, but had a great time.
City: San JoseTips: Threw a blue ox lure or a while with no hits and promptly lost it in the submurged brush near shore. Lots to snag on near shore.

Water Temp: na
Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Finally made it out to Calero with my brother. I didn't go out at all last year. Yep, pretty SAD :-(Anyways, got there late about 9am. My brother was let on his own or an hour and a hal. His irst time ishing there so he was paying his dues trying to igure out what they were biting and where. We talked to a couple o people and it seemed plastic worms were working or them and spinnerbaits weren't.We walked the shore or a couple o hours until 11am.We each got bit once. A small one on a black iretail worm or him and a nice one just under 5 or me on a brown jigand plastic trailer. I orgot the camera. Oh well, there's always next time :-)
City: FremontTips: Many thanks to you all who practice catch and release.I hope to tangle with some o those you've put back and I will always do the same or others to enjoy.Plastics and jigs. I I had more time, would have tried spinnerbaits and crankbaits a bit more.

Water Temp: Should it matte
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: My suggestion to all o you is to utilize an ancient ishing prayer book. Cause all your GLXs and Calis aren't going to help you at all! Yes, I have seen ish come out o here even past 10lbs, but the inconsistancy o size and numbers is a mystery beyond even the best bullshiters explaintion. How could a lake thats located 10 miles rom both Anderson and Calero be so bad? Here is a theory our devine water district in all their wisdom continues to treat Chesbro as some sort o water shed step-child. Anderson and Calero get allotments o water all summer long to keep the lake levels somewhat stable. While Chesbro gets the shat. In the winter time Chesbro continues to silt, spawning grounds are lost, very little gravel is let and the lake is devoid o cover. Next time you curse at Chesbro think about doing something positive or the lake. I won't tell i I see one o you with christmas trees on your lipping deck and remember olks, rock piles don't always make themselves. Take a resh look at Chesbro and lets see what improvements we can make.

Water Temp: 71 Degrees
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished rom 8am til 1pm. Caught 9 bass, biggest 17" smallest 8". Used deep crankbait thru big rockpiles or 5 o them, caught the other 4 on a nightcrawler threaded on a jig head hanging over the side o the boat.
City: CupertinoTips: Watch your ish inder. All the quality bass are at the same depth level and are not that hard to catch i you can get to them. Was really suprised at how much the water temp has come down due to the cooler weather.
