Water Temp: 77-82
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Fished 6/28-6/30. Concentrated on the lower lake. Fish seemed to be on the outside corners (points) o spawning coves in 10-15 eet. No topwater in the morning. A ew hit very sotly in the evening hours on Ricos. No reaction bite either during morning or aternoon. Success came or us only dragging or casting worms (5" Iovino, Green Weenie Paddle Tails were best). No big ish. 2-5 lbs. Night bite good with 10" black Power Worms and black spinnerbaits.
City: San RamonTips: Most ish are in post spawn. One tip I have is to get amiliar with the downshot technique. Normal split shoting gathered weeds and algae on the worm. Downshoting allowed us to bring the worm 18" o the bottom producing more bitesand ar less problems. The bites are more aggressive with this technique as well. 8 lb test seemed to get more strikes, check the line or rays requently. Also, no need to use expensive brass and glass sinkers. Simple round split shot works great. Use whatever size needed to maintain good bottom contact.

Report: Just spent 4 days and did real well. The ish we patterned were post spawn & were between the docks in the tules just outside the spawning areas. We caught a 7.5, 6.5, a ew 5'sand a bunch o 4- 3.5s. The bass were not very aggressive until night time, we dumped a ew 10+ ish at night. The top water was rustrating because we would see 5 & 6# ish swim up behind and just check out the lure, and then go away. Mainly stayed down south or the deeper water. We did see a bunch o males gaurding nests, and even a ew bed ish, but I don't ish or them. The lures we used were baby brush hogs, and june bug worms, the topwater ish that we did catch came on Ricos. Watch or your line to move more than the thump that you usually get up there, even the night ish hit like bluegills. We did some rock pile ishing which did not produce to well or us and that was when we moved into the tules and ound our pattern.

Report: My younger brother and I made it down late on Sunday and set up catish lines at the campground, no cats but woke up to a 15+ carp. The wind didn't lay down all night. Did some bank ishing at a prime area in the morning, I landed two around 2lbs and my brother hooked into his irst big ish. The 7+ put up a tremendous ight and threw the jig on the third completly airborne jump. Didn't ish much in the aternoon as we had booked a trip with Larry Hemphill. Our Dad met us down there and the three o us started ishing with Larry around 7 pm. It was a little diicult ishing our people but we started catching ish right away all bucks 1.5- 2lbs. In the evening I got the irst decent ish 4.5 on a 8" worm. Then Larry and I both lost 3lbers.Once it got dark the wind died and everything was extremely quiet we managed a 5 and two more around 3 and some bucks. It was a very un and pleasant night we landed 15 ish, but the big ish were just not that active. We had quite a ew short bites and the bites were very sot. We got back to camp around 4 and i wasn't ready or bed so I went drove down to the same bank area and just as it was getting light enough to see some big ish became active. I caught a 4.6, 6.7, and a 8.1 in less then hal an hour! I had one other bite and then it shut o a little beore the sun poked over the hill. We stayed another day and got some a ew more ish rom the same area up to 5lbs in the evening and irst thing in the morning.
City: ArcataTips: This week the ish were really active at irst and last light but the big ish bite shut o with sun on the water. The water is extremely clear and ishing was tough during the day. Slow crawled brush hogs and jigs worked well or us. Bring sun screen, mosquito repellent and lots o water. Good Luck!

Caught a nice 4# under an isolated dock on Lakeview Pt. Then workedthe docks between Lakeview and Baylis Pt. and caught several more. In the late ater noon went back to Garner and wasable to catch a 5.5# and several other smaller ish. All o my ish were caught on a Zoom Super Fluke ished on a onspinning rig. I was casting or skipping to an area letting it sink and twitching it every 5-10 seconds back to the boat.Tips Fish were not aggressive so it would sometimes take several casts into the same area to get a strike.

I tried to shake it o, and limped to the boat. Dave (my partner) asked "what was that loud noise" ? I told him,and o course he laughed. Wethen went to our irst three hot spots, an came away with one 13 1/2" ish. I had a eeling it was going to be a tough bite, especially ater noting that the water temp. had dropped six degrees overnight. What the ?????We did get some jig ish up north on main lake points and docks. Ater around noon, the sun inally came out. Fished a couple o sloughs(can't give them up over penalty o death)and inally got hot.Dave lipped a 4 1/2,then a 4. We both dropped a couple o nice ish which cost us the tourney. Report: Made it down or a one day trip again, this time launching out o Nice. Only had two smallbites until noon, when I spotted a big emale 8+ sunbathing in the trees. Finally got her to hit aweightless worm on 8lb line but ater a good run she sawed me o. Almost impossible to look orish with wind and murky water so I just kept lippin. I landed nine ish but our were 3-4lbs, ANDI managed to get a kicker. A 12.5 lb giant lipped out o tules next to wood just as the sun wassetting. Found someone to snap some pictures and let her go. Made all that driving a little easier!Tips Downsize baits, ish slowly, and set the hook at anything dierent. I did not get a solidbite all day. Letting the bait set on a semi tight line, I would barely eel resistance but therewould be a ish there.
