Report: Fished ABA Pro-Team (13 Boats) on Sunday. Had nice ish goin on Sat.,while shaking several o. Heard the weigh-in or Nor-Cal and got real excited or our tourney. Ater I launched my partner, while walking back to the dock's I lipped, turned my ankle and went down ace irst. As I'mwreathing in pain this nice lady asked i she could help. I tried to shake it o, and limped to the boat. Dave (my partner) asked "what was that loud noise" ? I told him,and o course he laughed. Wethen went to our irst three hot spots, an came away with one 13 1/2" ish. I had a eeling it was going to be a tough bite, especially ater noting that the water temp. had dropped six degrees overnight. What the ?????We did get some jig ish up north on main lake points and docks. Ater around noon, the sun inally came out. Fished a couple o sloughs(can't give them up over penalty o death)and inally got hot.Dave lipped a 4 1/2,then a 4. We both dropped a couple o nice ish which cost us the tourney. We ended up in third and won some $$$,inally.THE JINX IS OVER FOR BIG DADDY!And wehad the ish ,i only! We weighed 15+, the winners had 17+.A pretty tough bite or everybody.Big ish was 6+ caught on a rip bite.Others reoported green lizards, and brown jigs as producing well.Tips Boy once the sun came out,the bite really turned on.Go shallow and lip jigs and lizards.

Report: Made it down or a one day trip again, this time launching out o Nice. Only had two smallbites until noon, when I spotted a big emale 8+ sunbathing in the trees. Finally got her to hit aweightless worm on 8lb line but ater a good run she sawed me o. Almost impossible to look orish with wind and murky water so I just kept lippin. I landed nine ish but our were 3-4lbs, ANDI managed to get a kicker. A 12.5 lb giant lipped out o tules next to wood just as the sun wassetting. Found someone to snap some pictures and let her go. Made all that driving a little easier!Tips Downsize baits, ish slowly, and set the hook at anything dierent. I did not get a solidbite all day. Letting the bait set on a semi tight line, I would barely eel resistance but therewould be a ish there.

Report: FISHED THE NORTH END WITH MY FATHER. LEFT THE RANGER AT HOME AND USED MY FATHERS TRI-HULL TOGET SOME TIME ON IT FOR HIM.IT WAS TOUGH WITH NO TROLLING MOTOR, BUT I THINK IT PAID OFF FOR US. MADE US CONCETRATE AND SLOWDOWN THE PRESENTATION. I HAD ONLY 8 FISH, BUT ALL GOOD SIZE. STARTED THE DAY WITH 3 FISH JUST OVER3PD ALL ON A CLOWN HUSKY JERK. IN 4 FT OF WATER. PITCHED COVER WITH NO SUCCESS. MOVED NORTH WEST TOSMALL CANAL AREAS JUST PAST RODMAN SLOUGH AND REALLY GOT INTO SOME NICE FISH ON THE OUTSIDE EDGES OFTHE WEED LINES IN 6-8 FT OF WATER I LANDED TWO 4 PDS AND A 6 1/2PD FEMALE ALL 3 ON 4 1/2 INWITHCHES-T MAGIC WORM. MY FATHER ALSO CAUGHT HIS ONLY 3 FISH OF THE DAY ON THE SAME WORM SET UP(1-4PD, 2-3PD). THE FISH STILL SEAM TO BE PRE SPAWN. THE 6 1/2 HAD NOT SPAWNED OUT EITHER.SAW SEVERAL BOATERS TRYING TO BED FISH AND NOT HAVING MUCH LUCK THOUGH. ON THE WAY IN WE STOPPED ATTHE VERY CORNER(NORTH EAST) OF THE LAKE AND SAW 3 YOUNG BOYS(10-12YRS) FISHING FROM A 10FT BOAT WITHA TROLLING MOTOR JUST HOLLERING AND LAUGHING. IN 2-4 FT OF WATER THEY WERE RUNNIN AND GUNNIN ANDHITTING FISH. THEY HAD AT LEAST 4 FISH AS WE TALKED TO THEM. THEY WERE THROWIN INTO THE BUSHES ANDTREES WITH A ZOOM FLUKE AT BED FISH THAT THEY DIDN'T EVEN SEE AND HOOKING UP BIG. I THREW A COUPLEOF TIMES AND GOT MY LAST FISH A 4POUNDER, AND MY FATHER LOST ONE THE SAME SIZE AT THE BOAT. PRACTICECATCH AND RELEASE ON THE BIG FEMALES!! I DID!Tips JUST KEEP IT SLOW AND METHODICAL. THE JERK BAIT PRESENTATION I MADE WAS SLOW. I WAS PAUSING INBETWEEN EACH TWITCH OF THE BAIT 3 SECONDS SOMETIMES LONGER. I CAUGHT ONE OF THE FISH AS I TALKED TOMY FATHER AND THE BAIT WAS STILL! THE FISH MAY MOVE ONTO THE BEDS THIS WEEK SO FISH INSIDE TOOUTSIDE. DON'T RUN A WAY FROM THE SMALL FISH AS THE WILL BE HEARDING UP THE BIG FEMALES TO FORCETHEM ON TO THE BEDS. AGAIN PLEASE PRACTICE CATCH AND RELEASE!!

Report: Fished around Rocky point rom my stump jumper rom 10 until dark on Tuesday. I had 10 lipbites on jigs, brush hogs and tubes on any wood cover or males to 2.5, one big ish tied up intree. Not much o a reaction bite or me one each on spin, crank and jerkbait. Just beore dark i pulled in along a west acing sea wall nailed a 4# on irst cast with worm and a 5+ came up with it.Put on a Yammamoto Senko and ish were blowing up on it right on the surace. In the next hal hour had ten more bites all on the surace. In the excitement I didn't check my line and busted o thebiggest ish o the day, 7+ hit right at the boat.Tips Water is warming ast and ishing should be excellent by now. Always check your line ater a decent ish, that was the second big ish I have dumped this year in a lurry o bites because I didn't take a second to retie. Rookie mistake!

Report: Started out couple o weeks ago looking or staging ish gettin ready to head back in tospawn. Found ish rippin, bladin and throwin lukes. I the conditions were right the rip bite wason. We were catchin ish early as mentioned above. As the day wore on we went lippin or biggerish. I don't think the bait matter as much as location. We caught lip ish on rubber and jigs. The thing we ound lippin this time o year is slow way down and ish an area or tree or whateverstructure your on completely. Most o the lip bites were pressure bites ater the bait hit thebottom and sat there or a minute.Tips This is the rippin time o year i the conditions are right. But rom Early Feb on there is alip bite somewhere on the lake. The main thing is slow way down whether your rippin or lippinbecause o the water temp. As boat traic increases the ish burry themselves arther back intocover.

Report: FISHED OUT OF THE LUCERNE/NICE AREA. FISHING WAS SLOW AT THE BEGINNING(7AM-8:30am)COULDN'T DRAW A BITE. FINALLY ROLLED UP ON A SET OF DOCK AND BEGAN TO PICK UP A FEW FISH IN THE 2 TO 4 PD SIZE. HIT SEVERAL FISH UP TO 3PM.ALL FISH WERE WORM FISH. NO SPINNERBAIT OR JIG/BRUSHHOG FISH AT ALL! THESE FISH SEEMED TO BE MOVING IN AND OUT OF THE OUTSIDE EDGE OF THE DOCKS BUT IN 2 TO 6 FOOT OF WATER. ALSO ALL FISH CAME IN THE WARMER(51DEG) WATER LOCATIONS. WITH 3 OF US IN THE BOAT WE CAME OUT WITH 14 FISH.TipsTHE COLD FRONT HAD THE FISH TURNED OFF IT SEEMED AND I FEEL A LITTLE FINICKY. REPEATED PITCHES TO EACH SPOT AND DEAD STICKING THE BAIT WORKED BEST. USED A PADDEL TAIL WORM IN 6IN. WITH SOME SORT OF FISH SCENT TO IMPROVE THE BITE DEFINITELY HELPED. HOPEFULLY THE WATER CAN WARM A COUPLE OF DEG WITH A LITTLE RAIN AND THE FISH MAY TURN BACK ON.
