Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: I was at the lake yeaterday, teaching some olks how to bass ish. Not a good day to do that - terrible south wind that was hard to get out o. Fishing was slow or us and the other boat I talked to. We had seven or eight bass, including a 2 1/4 and 2 1/2 largemouth, caught on #39 Magic worms. Caught a ew on rodstrainer jigs. Fish were no deeper then 12 eet. We ished the east side and river arm. Big ish were biting until the ronts started moving in. Weather needs to settle down. One boat (ormer clients) had a couple o 3 lb spots - nice ish! They were using 4 in worms,
City: Yuba CityTips: Try pitching jigs to standing trees - let jig all straight down, then watch your line. Bass are in or around the brush and trees.

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)
Report: Started ishing at about 7:00 a.m. Fished with my good old ishing buddies, Bassman (Phil) and Steve. We ished some structures, we like to call it bass country, across rom the boat launch. Within 3 minutes o ishing Steve hooked the irst ish o the day, on a green jig with a grub as a trailer. It coulden't have been more then 5 minutes later when I caught my irst on a Carolina rigged Magic worm. Not much action ater that so we moved into the ishing cove. Got into a good weed bed and the action picked up. The Anglers Choice blue gill colored worm seemed to be the ticket. Bassman caught 3 and I caught 5 all in the 1 to 2 pound range. As or Steve, well thats a whole nother story. Ater lunch the bite slowed way down. We tried everything, heck Bassman even put a little ass on his lure and that didn't even work. Overall not a bad day or it being the irst time on the lake. Next time look or my picture on the wall at the store. Have un and good luck.
City: AntelopeTips: The key is slow retrieval. I you think your going slow, go slower.

Water Temp: 49 (am) 52(pm)
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished irst club tournament o the year at Collins 2/13/00 (Basin Bassmasters - Loomis). Finished 3rd with 3 ish or 3.58, First was 3 or 5.92. Small ish I know, but the bite was tough, there were only three o our nine boats who caught multiple ish. I caught irst ish lipping a jig n pig (Black/Red/Orange) around looded trees in 14 eet o water. No real need to worry about line size in muddy water, used 25 pound Big Game. Next ish came on a Carolina rigged Green Pumpkin Baby Brush Hog in 35 eet o water on the break o a submergered hump. Last ish came on the same Carolina Rig o o the submergered lat by the dam in 22 eet o water. All bites were EXTREMELY subtle.Winners were ishing plastic worms rom bank to 12 eet, (sorry don't know what color). Some guys caught early blade ish (chartreuse/chartreuse blades). Big ish o the day, 3.9 spot was caught on a jig n pig (Black/Red) in 12 eet o water.
City: Citrus HeightsTips: Be versatile, ish will probably be scattered all over the place with the rising water. Best bet is probably Blades early, then go to jigs and worms at around 9:00, ish slow rom 5 eet to 20 eet. Hope this helps?!

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: we ished a bass'in buddies tournament (a rocklin club). the water has come up about 22 t in the last two weeks. it was pretty stained with 1-3 eet visibility. my partner and i started the day o throwing jigs and crank baits. we picked up two ish on jigs (one on a brown on brown jig the other a white on white). later we picked up another dink on a summer moss 4" zipper. the last ish we caught was late in the day on a oxblood 4" worm. the bite was pretty tough, with the big ish weighed in at 3.92 the tournament was won with our ish or 5.62 the weather was great. temp started out at 41deg. and ended up around 55-60. blue skies, with a light brease the majority o the day.
City: citrus heightsTips: ish jigs in 10-20 t. drag them slowwwwwly. whites and browns seemed to be the colors that everybody seemed to be catching ish on. overall tough tournament, bite should pick up when the water clears and warms back up.

Water Temp: 58
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: We started o at about 9:30am.The lake had risen to about 11t rom the rim due to the recent storms, and muddy. On this particular day the weather was just the pits.So on with the gortex and o we went.We headed towards the northwest corner on the lake on around what we like to call "oh no you did't island".Nothing.We threw just about everything rom jigs to spinners to crankbaits.Nothing.Finally deciding that maybe since the wind was blowing so hard and the rain was really coming down, that baitish might be blowing up against the shore and points.About 11am I(Matt) hooked into a 212 largemouth on a strike king 38 chart-white spinner.Five casts later I ound mysel saying good morning to a 312 largemouth. Both coming o o a rocky point down the arm at the north end o the lake.Unortunatly that was all or Kevin and I,but theirs always next time.Till then ish on.
City: antelopeTips: Fish rocky points with spinners and ollow up with some plastics i the wind permits.Slow presentation.

Report: I ished rom 9am to 1pm - beautiul warm morning! I ished shoreline rock steep banks with my usual Rodstrainer jig/Yamamoto grub combo - mostly black/blue with purple grub. It was slow but I did catch a 4 1/4 lb largemouth in only 15 eet o water. Also a 3 1/4 lm and 2 spots about 2 lbs each. Broke o a big ish! Cloudy weather should help the bite. Lake is down about 30 eet - I love it! A structure isherman's dream!!
City: Yuba CityTips: Jigs are great at Collins in winter. You may have to swim them since rock ormations are wicked!

Report: Fished 7/15 - 7/19 with group o riend, we were out every morning and every evening. Fishing was very slow. What ish werecaught were on a varity o methods. We used JuneBug Zipper Worms,Crawdad Speedtraps, Spinnerbaits, and Top Water plugs. Fishing did seem to improve through the weekend as the temperatures cooleda little.
City: San JoseTips: Never did develope any true pattern. Mornings did produce better or us, but in the evening we were in by 9PM and ishing may havepicked up ater that. Best bites came irst thing in the morning about 5:30. You may try getting up a little earlier and staying out a little later, or try the ull moon coming up.Good Luck,

Report: As anticipated, I was only able to ish sporadically Sat and Sunday while camping with the amily. The weather as everywhere was hot and I imagine it had an eect on the ishing pattern rom a week or two prior. Didn't have much luck around the emerging rock piles across rom the marina and didn't graph many ish either. Ater too much wasted time I headed up the river to the 3rd or 4th brush pile up the 5 mph zone and drop shotted a nice spot. Missed a couple, but graphed quite a ew ish. Had to head back to camp. Back out around 2 pm touring the lake with the wie and the 3 youngest kids (oldest wanted to stay and ish the docks)no intent on ishing. Puttering around up the 5 mph zone and the bass start busting shad all around the boat, inally get the rod out o the locker with a pooper and its ish on. Had some un action or awhile and then head back to the dock to let the amily o and take the oldest out to get some topwater. They had settled down some when we got back but still managed a ew. No real size, all just under or at keeper size, but topwater is always un. Sunday only got an hour in the middle o the day and picked up a ew more small topwater.
City: NewarkTips: For what it is worth the hot weather shouldn't last too long and the bite should really pick up. I graphed a lot more ish up the river as compared to the rocks. Not enough time to give speciic tips outside o the obvious, throw to the ish busting shad.
