Water Temp: 61-67 Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility) Report: Getting better everyday. I fished thursday in the stubborn wind the blew all day. Boated 8 fish to about 5lbs..hooked and unbuttoned the same big fish not once but two times. She railed me both times in very deep in cover. made me sick, especially since I was expecting her to bite the second time.

This lakes a little slow to get going and the best fishing here is yet to come. Water color is still on the brown side but fishable.
City: San JoseTips: jigs. big and bulky

Water Temp: 64 Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility) Report: Jay, I know how you feel. Went out Monday the 22nd, not real good. Very windy, missed a few bumps, but no fish. Only two other boats out there, and two headed out as we headed in about 1pm. No bass. No that I read the previous post, I feel a little better, knowing I fished right after a tournament. Yeah, that's it, they took all the good fish from me! Not really, I just sucked. Switched to trolling for trout just to catch some fish, nothing there either. Water is still very stained, flotsam heavy at the windward side of the lake.
City: san joseTips: Still probably works with all the usuals, just have to be patient I guess, allow for some slow action at times.

Most of the quality fish were caught flippin plastics or jigs or jerk baits. Several 4's and 5's were caught but only 2 limits.
City: WatsonvilleTips: Fish were caught just about everywhere in shallow water on just about everything except swimbaits.

Water Temp: 66 Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility) Report: Got on the lake around 7 a.m. my buddy Curtis got 2 fish. One on the second cast on a crank bait. Then one much later on a wacky senko. I got 4 fish the bigest two weighed in at 6.0 and 7.5! The other two were 2 & 3 pounds. All senko fish texas style. bass are in pre-spawn still. The little males are getting ready in the shallows, while the big girls are waiting in the wings. Love those large ladys! The carp are going off and stirring up the mud. Water Temp: around 45-50 Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility) Report: Fished Coyote today from 8:30-12:00 with Slammers, 1/2 oz. jigs, and 10 inch worms around the dam but never got bit. Tried looking for clearer water but the rains have made it pretty hard to find. I think this is the best time to throw the big swim baits at Coyote in my experience ,especially the topwater ones, becuase the fish are more concentrated due to the low water levels plus the bass havent really seen a trout in a while.
City: SalinasTips: Look for a more stable weather cycle, and clearer water if you can to really throw the swim baits. Oh and the ramp is still closed....
