Water Temp: 75-78
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: What happened to the bass in this lake? Used to see several reports a year of large bass bing caught.
Fished 3:30-6:30 pm. Not one hit! fished the north end, mostly to get out of the wind. Fished plastics, swim baits, crank baits and jigs. Nothing at all. Even the kid at the inspection station said the bass fishing sucks this year.

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Inspections are $7 from the hours of 8am-sunset. Your $7 pass is good for 30 days, so keep it. You wil not be allowed to launch prior to 8am due to inspections. Rumor has it that the Santa Clara Water District can only afford to contract this Marina inspection company until the end of July...Then what?
Tips: Allow yourself an extra 30-60 minutes of waiting for inspection.

Water Temp: 60
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: Launched the boat at 7:00. Fished the southside of the lake with great fishing early on. Started off with a rat-l-trap(rainbow trout color) and fished it with a quick retrieve. Wind picked up at about 11 and i was off the lake by 12. Finished with a total of 6 fish with the biggest going 5.6
City: Carmel ValleyTips: no luck with senkos, jigs, or spinnerbaits. lipless crainkbaits seemed like the trick.

Water Temp: 60-64
Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)
Report: On the water by 6:45, decent bit, there were 3 of us in the boat, caught 8 total. Best fish went maybe 3 lbs. All fish looked healthy and fat. No real definite pattern. Fish were in 3-6 ft of water typically relating to brush.
City: WatsonvilleTips: senkos

Water Temp: 64
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Caught 3. 1 dink, a 2 and 3#r. Tried everything
along the eastern bank across from the ramp fishing south, had one hookup on a crawdad crank but lost it. Only senkos at the creek entrance in the afternoon (1500) produced fish.
City: MontereyTips: Did well using 5" Senkos Green Pumpkin/blk flake
fishing the western edge of the creek entrance.
Fish were in the gaps in the bushes.

Water Temp: 62-64
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Got on the water at 10am, air temp in the 70's. Went to the south end where we saw a ton of boats and tubers. Tried everything in my tackle box, nada. Tried spinners, cranks, worms. By 12 noon, it was in the 90's. Sweatin with the oldies by now. We heard from a few that they caught some, but it was earlier in the morning. Left the water at 2pm. Weather was too hot and the bass weren't biting anyways.
City: San JoseTips: Get there when the gate opens and the temp is milder. You'll also avoid the wake boarders and their cranked up rap music on the water. Watch out for an aluminum Lowe boat. They cut in front of the line while everyone was waiting patiently and almost took out some kids at the ramp.

Report: 1 hour on the lake, got a 5.14 on a white chatterbait with white trailer.
SE bank ~8' photo'd and released and then the motor died. A new PB for me so I didn't mind
(too much) out of action for a month.

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: pontoon boated from 930 to about 12ish, wind picked up, very difficult. dropshotted from boat dock south and nailed one about 3lbs within the first 100yds. tons and tons of short bites, either crappie/blugill or just straight aggressive bass. the one i caught, when i felt the bite, i let some slack and then set the hook, give it time to bite. pretty much all those bites all the way down til the south end but no more hookups.
City: santa claraTips: 20-30 feet off shore, cloudy but semi-warm day. not all the usual trees in the south end are in water, and when u first drive in, that parts not in water like it is usually. one i caught was a fatty, so either prespawn feeding or an early prespawner

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Not a good day at all. Threw my whole tacklebox and then some at the fish but couldn't get bit. On the water at 5:45am off at 12:00. Boats were moving all over the lake all day so i think i wasn't the only one with a bad day. Wind picked up and and no fish biting = Go Home and relax!
City: San Jose/MontereyTips: Wish i could tell ya.....typical coyote day....fish jumping all over the place and no fish committing to a lure...maybe 2 more weeks of sunny 70 ish days, might change some things.....i sure hope

Water Temp: 53 S (Dam) - 55
Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)
Report: Fished form 7 till 2. Main lake was chocolate, creek was green. Tried everything, black and blue jig, senkos, C-rig brushhogs, cranks, spinners, white frog. Trolled swimbaits from the dam to the creek along West bank. Graphed lots of fish suspending at 20' in 40' water. Had One solid hook-up in the creek on a Shakey Head - with a Kinami purple-brown cut-tail worm, but it broke me off. Wind came up strong around 11-2, whitecaps main lake. In summary: skunked.
