    Water Temp: 81-83

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: BRUTAL! Fished from 5:15 PM to 8:45 PM. Fished the 5s for the first half, and middle section of N. Fork for last 1.5 hours. Not a bite. Not one. 85% of my time was spent drop-shotting various 3 and 4 inch shad colored finess "treats." Nada. Tossed out some spinner baits, crank baits and even a 'Spook in frustration.
    City: Auburn

Tips: Early has been better ... not much, but at least early I'm getting a couple of good fish on each trip. This was my first evening out there. Also ... from what I hear ... if you are willing to go there ... live bait. I'm not that desparate (yet).

Report: Fished 8am to noon. Caught one small one on a TD Minnow just up from the rock garden. Nothing on Gitzits(my favorite), Worms or crankin. I've fished Folsom since 1987 and have never seen this much bait in the water. HUGE schools of pond smelt surronding my boat. Match the hatch maybe.
    City: EDH

Tips: 50-100 fish a day at Folsom?. Maybe you meant Bodega bay.

Report: Yesterday some of the water has a mud line, with no boats just a light winds from the west (choppey). Jim Ryan and I headed out to the Camp Ground out from from Grainte Bay ramp to a cove to get some top water action in smother waters. It just repeated from yesterday until 10am. Jim was using creckets and got two blue gils. My lures just got taps, no good bites. Again saw balls of bait fish.

    Water Temp: 77-81

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: 4 th of July, out early with Dennie Howard and friends at 5:45 am before the lake lice. We started out on the points in the North Fork not find any good bites. On my graph I saw bait balls all over the lake, no fish chasing them just sitting on the bottom or around them. The balls of bait were tight. We tried in the coves and all the way back with dart heads, split shots, senkos, worms and lizards. If somebody is getting more than 3-5 aday let me know the trick?

Tips: fish slow on points with rocks (big)

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Well ... I wanted to bang my head on the wall for fun again yesterday (i.e., fish Folsom). The goal was to get out before the zoo creatures were loose ... but that was not really possible yesterday. They were out awfully early yesterday, each trying to outdo the next with the most vulgar displays of selfishness. (Plus ... I did sleep a little long.) Fished from 7:30 to 12:30 in the North Fork. The 5 mph zone was more like an Eminem concert, fully equipped with loud radios blasting F-Bombs, wholesome stories of rape, violence and love, and jet-skiers running at 50+ mph ... niceeeeeeee.

Anyway, like Paul's post before mine I had two bites. One of them was on a rockpile in the middle of the N. Fork. About 15 feet of water on an 1/8 oz darter head smoke colored 4 inch worm. 'Twas a beautiful 3-lb smallmouth equipped with a DFG tag ... hey, $10 bucks! Better than my typical tournament winnings! =( The other was on a steep rock with wood nearby, LM on a root beer colored 3.75 inch tube on a 1/4 oz darterhead. I had no bites cranking Summer craw patters and one chaser on a clown colored 1/2 oz spinnerbait.
    City: Auburn

Tips: Ha! Wish I had some to offer. Best tip ... fish from 4:30 AM to 9:00 AM and then get out before Armageddon sets in.

Report: Went out 6-28 after work with a friend from 4:30 to 9:00 pm.We caught 7 total with the biggest 2 lbs. Ended up throwing weightless senkos, thats all I could get to work.Tried darter head worms for a while and split shot 4'' worms with 1/32 oz weights and the fish would have no part of it.
Went out this morning for 2 hrs before the madness starts up.Tried the weightless senko to no avail, when I got smacked reeling in I threw a rip bait and nailed two right away. That was it,my only two fish and two bites for the day
    City: Granite Bay

Tips: Don't ask me, I can't catch 50 to 100 fish a day at Folsom

Report: You've catching 50 - 100 bass per day plus 5 trout????? You should get a guide license. I know guides that have been fishing the lake for years and they are struggling to hook a dozen fish per day. Your claim is amazing to say the least.

    Water Temp: 72-74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: In the last four weeks my partners and I have been out once to twice a week at Folsom Lake. We have had the best fishing on this lake that we have ever had with daily catches of 50 to 100 hundred bass and 3 to 5 trout each trip. Our success has been on the main body where ever there are rocks and steep drop off to deep water.
    City: Sacramento

Tips: Go very slow and use small 4 inch worms with very light weights (1/32 oz.)

Report: Fished reaction baits throughout the morning and found alot of followers instead of eaters. Caught some fish off of the face of the dam on a spinnerbait and dartheaded a 2.5# in the west corner of the dam. Bladed a 3# out on the penninsula as well as seeing more followers. Ended the morning dartheading 4 off of Doton's point, which BTW is loaded with so much bait you can see the cloud on your Fish finder and literally see them swimming all around the boat. Topwater still slow to get going, but hope it wll get along soon.
    City: Roseville

Tips: Darthead shad colors and subtle colored reaction baits.

Report: A fun late day for Jim Malm and I after 7pm. Using jigs in the trees to using top water lures until. The bass are slowly moving up to get the pop r's, sammys and spooks. The darkness comes way to soon and the gates close at tem pm. Work around the standing trees in 15 - 30 ft , some fish are shallow but small. Have fun.

    Water Temp: 69-72

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Very windy caused me to run towards Anderson Island and throw the super spook for a while. After an hour only a few small darthead fish I ran to Beals and found a few blade fish around the swim area. With the wind velocity and direction (out of the south), I went to the Pennisula and started throwing a blade around the piles of rocks I could see and caught a 3.5# Largemouth and about a 2# Smallie. Moved over to the pipe near the campground and dropshotted another 2# Spot. Last stop was Dotons point and ended the day with a 3.75# Spot and a 1.75# Smallie on a dartheaded Robo. With the Police & Fire Games coming up in July, my best 4 weighed 11.25# with a big fish of 3.75#.
    City: Roseville

Tips: Couldn't get any one thing to work consistantly. With the wind I figured there would be a reaction fish or two up feeding in the surf and found that to be correct. Dartheading is still the go to technique for me with dropshotting the trees second. No topwater fish for me YET!!

Water Temp: High 60`s to lo

Water Clarity: Muddy (0-2 foot visibility)

Report: On my latest trips to Folsom my clients have enjoyed a great topwater bite in the am around all the submerged willow trees on both the north fork and south fork, with spots and smallmouth up to 4.5 lbs. Later go to 4 inch grubs on an 1/8 oz. dart head and swim it slow of the points and around the willows. Also a carolina rigged 4 inch Magic Worm in #1 or #39 color.
    City: Sacramento

    Tips: Fish your plastics SLOW.

    Water Temp: 72-74

Report: Bite stiffened up a bit as the bait is really scattered. Finding fish here and there, but they are usually fat & healthy from all of the food available right now. Sticking to the darthead & dropshot on main body areas. I've been moving around quite a bit so I really haven't settled into one area and worked it hard. Waiting for a solid spook bite to get going.
    City: Roseville

Tips: Patience right now is the key, lots of fish to catch, but for size has been the issue. 3# is about the top for me lately. Stick to it and the fish will come.

    Water Temp: 72-74

Water Clarity: Clear (4+ foot visibility)

Report: Still able to darthead & dropshot small limits pretty easy on the main body. Pattern of rocks & trees is still holding as the bass are hanging around huge balls of fry. Caught fish when the rocks, trees & fry were all in the same place. Birds (grebes) have moved in now and started feeding on the fry, pushing them deep into the trees making presenting the worm harder. Spook bite hasn't really got going yet, but expect it to come unglued here pretty soon.
    City: Roseville

Tips: Still finnessing them with the darthead and dropshot. Heard of an early crank bite, but that hasn't worked for me.

    Water Temp: 69-71

Water Clarity: Stained (2-4 foot visibility)

Report: Went out with two friends at 6am, headed up the North Fork finding some top water off of points. We draged a split shot with a lizards(4") and drop shot a leach. Only finding small spots and smallies. This is the fullest we have seen the lake. Most of the coves have grass or weeds, good for cranking or spinners. We got out of the lake by 11am befor the lake lice. Off to Camp far west for some late evening fishing.

Report: Fished 3 hours late morning Wednesday as the rain was clearing. Found fish right away on the mouth of the river in 20-25 ft. Rocky banks were best. Biggest went 5 pounds. All were caught on a split shot rig. No luck on Senko, t-rig, and topwater, but didn't try long with these since the split-shot was working so well.
    City: Placerville

Tips: Split-shot worked parallel to bank in 25 feet of water.
